Found this place on a recommendation from Reddit, looked into the reviews and gave it a shot. Scheduled a haircut with Stacey, who is the owner of the shop, through their online booking portal. As soon as I came in, I was greeted with a professional handshake, and a sit down for shampoo and conditioner. I showed her a picture of the length I wanted, and she exceeded my expectations. Even did some light layering on the back (whatever that means). It ended with a hot face towel and a light massage on my shoulders and neck, cleanup around the sideburns and back neck. All for $35. Unreal. What a steal and I will not be going anywhere else. Highly recommend. Finally, a salon dedicated to men.

Took him 5 minutes to finish cutting my hair because he was going super fast and rough honestly (pushing my head around hard, digging the razor on my skin hard). Gave a $5 tip on top of the $30 they charge for regular haircut. The owner from like 2 seats away sitting down is complaining and said, "5 bucks isn't even enough for a coffee these days." Basically pressuring and forcing me to tip more like what??? Why would I tip more? Terrible service, didn't look at the picture I showed him, forgot I wanted to thin out the bulk, rushed the haircut and was rough on my head. The AUDACITY to ask for MORE tip. He is nice enough, but difficult to understand. I tell him a tape up down to a two, shorten the beard and clean it up. He says no problem. I was excited because this place looked dope inside. Mistake. I ask how much about 5 minutes in. Igor says $50. I said why so much? He mumbled something about a hot towel. A few minutes later I say, no hot towel, just do my beard and trim. He says ok. I literally told this guy my barber moved to Copiague so I am looking for a new barber. In response they tried to SCAM me. When he is finished, I ask, no blade? He says no I trimmed it. Youre going to charge me $50 and NO BLADE? I was flabbergasted. I was bewildered. He said $40. I said ok $40 no beard is still crazy. Igor, whose hands were SHAKING during the cut, says to pay up front. Up front, I hand the guy $40 and say, $40 no blade is crazy. This guy says, "If we TOUCH your beard we have to charge $40". What? Have to? Huh? I said, "Touch my beard? Fine. Look, no blade. $40 for no blade is crazy." AND they know it's crazy so they give me back $10. This GARBAGE haircut is NOT worth $30. I didn't even get the tape up I paid for. NONSENSE. AND I have to go home and shave ? ? ? ZERO stars

Must be nice. It…read moremust be nice to have so many customers, that you can literally turn your back on paying customers. There was one client in the barber chair in the midst of a haircut. The person ostensibly cutting their hair was on their cell phone. When I entered, he asked if I had an appointment. I asked, seeing that there was no one else in the establishment, if that were really necessary. He responded yes, and then TURNED HIS BACK ON ME! Now, I'm aware that some places want to keep up a certain level of decorum, or pretension, and might want to insist on appointments, regardless of foot traffic. But where I'm from, turning your back on, someone is considered a slap in the face, and / or grounds for receiving one. Perhaps he didn't like my shirt. Perhaps it's a little too hot for everyone. Perhaps my skin tone didn't live up to his standards. Whatever the reason, rudeness and disrespect are no way to run a business.

I initially called to leave a voicemail through their phone number, and I didn't expect someone to pick up at around 4 in the morning. Again, their business hours weren't to be seen on Apple Maps. They also had no website. I only had one question in mind. And that question was basically if they were open on the weekends. Afterwards, I would have told the employee a thank you, and then politely hung up the phone. That would be all. Simple answer and done. Not have someone hang up on a customer for asking a simple question because it's unclear on the map. You know, I've been there a couple times, if memory serves. Very friendly atmosphere with trained barbers. It disappoints me how someone would just hang up on me for asking a simple question. Not good customer service this time! Absolutely disappointing! Also, please update your business hours online, so that way you don't cause confusion every single time. I'll still give you guys a chance. The place isn't bad. It's just that I dealt with horrible service over the phone. Please do better. I know you guys are better than this. Thank you.
