YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Checking for reviews prior to visiting an establishment is pretty common which is why I chose CD for my phone repair. What I didn't know is they offer $5 OFF FOR A REVIEW so please take that into consideration. The parts they use are low quality. My touch screen is more unresponsive than it was prior to getting it fixed. My phone randomly cuts off or reboot without warning. I NEVER HAD THAT ISSUE PRIOR TO GETTING MY SCREEN FIXED. Although there isn't a way to prove they caused damage, this is my experience. Cheap is not always better and reviews don't always paint the picture. read more

I dropped my Samsung S7 face-down on a rock, killing the LCD screen. I brought my phone here and they had it fixed within the hour and were super kind and professional. I didn't have insurance with my cell phone provider, who wanted to charge me $350 for a fix. Communication depot charged $199. One small problem: the new screen they gave was either defective or not installed properly, I was having some touchscreen sensitivity, so they had me bring it back and replaced it again with no problem. Would have been nice not to have to bring it back again, but their kindness and efficiency is making me stick with a 5-star review. The guy apologized profusely, but it's all good, my phone is fixed and back up in great working order at much less of a cost than if I would have had it repaired through my cell phone provider. Also bought a knock-off otterbox from this place, it works just as well and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Here's hoping there's no more phone trouble for me, but if something comes up, I know where I'll be bringing my phone. read more

The store is always clean, the employees are friendly and helpful. The give you a quote on the spot and offer a savings just for telling people how awesome they are. This is our second time using them and I will continue taking my broken screens to them instead of filing an insurance claim, way cheaper and quicker. read more

I came here needing an iPhone6 screen fixed. The gentleman behind the counter, Monty, gave it a look, took it to his tech and came back and told me it would be a 1/2 hour and I could wait. The price I was told was competitive with all the other offers I received that day. When I came back, the screen was perfect. Actually the home button was even working better than it ever had. They were good, fast and professional. I highly doubt you will find a better place. read more

The phone screen they fixed for me stopped working for some reason. It was past their warranty and they decided to fix it for free. Great shop! read more

Shattered my iPhone X screen and brought it in the next day to get fixed. After they replaced the screen, I noticed there was a problem with the screen randomly going black. I emailed them about it and Mike responded quickly letting me know they were there to fix it anytime I wanted to stop in. Even though the shop was busy at the time, Mike made sure my phone was looked at right away. They ended up replacing the screen again and I haven't had any problems since. Great customer service, really nice and honest employees, and they stand by their products and services. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends! read more

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and my phone was repaired on time both times. The second time, a discount was offered to us because the phone screen, which had been replaced due to water damage two weeks ago, had stopped working upon being dropped. Half off the replacement price was offered, which was very kind and generous. The new screen flickers and doesn't work perfectly, but the phone is a few years old and the water damage and fall are likely to blame for this. Otherwise, the color balance is fixed and the phone works. I highly recommend this repair shop! read more

This place is awesome! They're fast, the employees speak multiple languages, and they're reasonable priced. Had a crack in my iPhone 6s Plus and they took care of it in 20 minutes and it works just fine. Great place to go and I recommend communication Depot to anyone with a phone. read more

Warning: sad post ahead. I dropped my phone, and the screen cracked. EVERYONES WORST NIGHTMARE! I know. The first thing I did was open Yelp and started to frantically search for the best cellphone repair place. I called several different places to find a reasonably priced, decent repair place. If I was going to spend $200 for a new screen, I might as well just gotten a new phone. So I settled with Communication Depot. I was a tad skeptical about it being on Cherokee, but I made the trek anyways. I walked in, they told me 40 minutes, done. My initial experience with them, was great. After all was said and done, I was happy. They even threw in a free screen protector. All was great for the next couple months. Until........MY SCREEN STARTED TO COME OFF. My whole entire phone screen has started to separate from my iPhone. So bad to the point I had to get a wrap around case to keep my screen from peeling and eventually falling off. I never made an effort to take it back, Cherokee St is sketchy, and for right now, a new case seemed to help. Just a word from the wise. be careful who replaces your phone screen. read more

Super quick and nice service! We were in town visiting family when the battery on our Samsung Galaxy S7 went kaput. We drove in and they had it fixed in two hours, so we were able to explore St. Louis while we waited. They saved the day, because we had a flight to catch that afternoon. Friendly and fast service. And they give you $5 off for a positive yelp review, full disclosure. read more

They fixed my super shattered iPhone screen within a few hours. It was a no fuss kind of place, which I really like. The price was $100 to fix, which I think is a little high. I think they are capitalizing on the huge wave of panic that ensues when one's phone is broken. But I guess it's still cheaper than getting a new phone and overall, turned my frown upside down. My husband went to fix his shattered Samsung phone camera, and it was $25, also fixed within the day. I guess we both have issues with not smashing things, but I'm glad this store will be around to help. read more

I don't always write reviews. But, here it goes. I had a broken charging port/connector on my iPhone 5S. These guys handled my service request with an unbelievable professional courtesy, that too at the lowest rate I could find in the area. I ended up paying $39.99 - $10 (for Yelp coupon discount) which was a 'steal'. I would like to mention here Oscar, the guy at the service desk, and the other gentleman whose name I didn't catch, were really good with their service and my phone was ready for pick up within a couple of hours. Thanks guys!!! read more

I broke my screen this morning, really badly. I hadn't a clue where to go, but a friend of mine in Baltimore happened to call me shortly after I broke my phone. He asked me if there were Communication Depot stores in St. Louis. "Hell, I don't know!" was my reply. He even sent me the link, so I trekked over to Communication Depot on Cherokee. I was in/out of there in less than 30 minutes. What struck me most about the store: 1) as soon as I walked in, I was greeted, 2) it was well-lit, 3) it was very clean, and 4) the store was very orderly. Typically, one couldn't ask for more, given the above impressions, but wait! The most important impression was the staff were all cordial, upbeat and friendly. Big "shout out" to Blanca for hooking up my phone. She was great! I've no reservations about recommending this store and its fantastic staff. Kindly, Eddie read more

Shattered my IPhone 5S screen. I checked Yelp for a recommendation, and what was close to my office. Sent a message on Sunday evening requesting a price, and got a reply that evening. I headed to the store on Monday around 11:30 AM. My phone was fixed and I was back in my car to my office by 12:10 PM. I also got a case and screen saver while I was there. All of the staff were very polite. The price and service were awesome! Upon my return to my office, I heartily gave them 5 stars to my co-workers. This is the place to go for repairs! Thanks guys! read more

Awesome customer service and so quick to repair my iPhone 6! I went to Macheadquarters first! They were horrible and terrible customer service and very expensive! I highly recommend this awesome place...also on the best street in STL...Cherokee!! read more

Whoa! What happened to your phone? I dropped it on a brick path and cracked the screen. The shipping tape got me by for a few weeks. When the shards of glass started falling out, I put some more shipping tape on. Then it was time to take my iPhone 5C to Communication Depot because I found they would only charge about $70. I bought a yelp deal for $10 that is worth $20. I drove over to Cherokee St. and "dropped" off my phone on my way to a dentist appointment. They said it would take about 45 minutes. I returned with my sparkling pearly whites to find my phone was as good as new. I was already interested in a screen protector and new case before the associate asked. He hooked me up with a glass (instead of thin plastic) screen protector for $10 installed. He sold me a Qmadix case for another 10 spot. The only regret was not buying a case for my wife's phone. I was very pleased with the prompt, professional, and reasonable price of the service at Communication Depot. Go there if you crack your screen. Go there to buy a "glass" screen protector and maybe a new case before you crack your screen. read more

After reading others reviews on here, I'm SO glad I went here to get my phone fixed!! I cracked my screen on my iPhone 6 and somehow the back was bent to, Apple wouldn't fix it for me because it was bent. So I went here and a little over an hour later they had the cracked screen and the bend all fixed! Everyone was very nice and helpful. They waved the tax for me because it took a bit longer than an hour, I didn't complain I just wanted my phone fixed, so it was very nice. Ended up being $100 even (if you go to Apple for screens it's $109) Everything has been working fine on my phone. I'm so glad it's fixed, seriously a lifesaver and saved me so much money!! Will definitely be back if I ever need to and I would highly recommend! read more

I just had my phone fixed a few minutes ago. I emailed Mike on a Sunday evening to get a quote on fixing a broken iPhone screen. He responded that evening. They were very fast fixing it. Less than half an hour. I had trouble with the screen 3 weeks later. Emailed Mike and he said come in and they would take care of me. They checked my phone, put a new screen on and it worked again. I paid the initial fee and they took care of the new screen's cost. Mike came out to meet me and thank me for my business. These folks are really putting their best foot forward in all respects. read more

Touchscreen wasn't working for my iPhone 6plus. Apple doesn't do this repair or recognize it as an issue, and Foxpaw doesn't do this repair either but FP recommended Communication Depot so I went. They repaired, or replaced the IC board, which they did I don't know because no one communicated what exactly would be done to my phone. For the price, I wasn't too concerned and due to Foxpaw recommending them, I trusted them to solve the issue. An hour later my phone overheats, the top corner goes dim, and my wifi stops working. I return a day or so later and they "fix" the issue, telling me it was the IC board again... OK... A few days later I lose WiFi signal again, and now my camera isn't working.. I return, and they fix it again, saying this time they replaced an antenna (free of charge)..Great.. Then I get home, and my phone won't pick up WiFi signal again, and now my Bluetooth stops working. I return for my fourth courtesy repair, and for a second time the technician isn't even in.. So knowing they can't fix the issue they give me 25% refund, and explain that it is a known issue for other things to stop working on iPhone 6 plus if the IC board goes bad (touchscreen issue). My question is, why wouldn't they notify me of this beforehand? A disclaimer stating that my touchscreen can be repaired, but other issues may occur would definitely make me rethink getting anything repaired at all. Some random guy that works there said they don't replace antennas or work on a certain portion of the iPhone, but the technician said he did replace the antenna? They seem knowledgeable, but their communication is poor and I'm not sure what actually got done to my phone. My WiFi, bluetooth, and camera all worked fine before getting my IC board repaired here which is ironic, but it is known the iPhone 6 is kind of crappy. Just beware iPhone 6 Plus owners with IC Board issues, a bunch of other issues may occur and although they try to fix those issues they technically "don't work on certain parts of the iPhone" and the "entire motherboard may be bad"... SO essentially save $100 and just get a new phone instead of wasting time and money here, or go somewhere you can actually speak to and see who is fixing your phone instead of getting messages relayed back and forth. read more

So I brought an unlocked phone off of amazon so I needed a SIM card...I was nervous as I'd never had an unlocked phone before and had no idea what to expect. After my phone went in the meramac river I did the rice trick and it did not work. I took my phone to the fox paw kiosk and $40 later said it was toast. I accepted the death and put the phone in my drawer, got a new phone and moved on with life. A couple of weeks later I thought let me plug it in and just see what happens. The phone came back to life! My husband used it for a few weeks and noticed battery life had sharply declined in a short period. I took my phone to communication depot and they checked the charging plug and sure enough it was the battery. They replaced the battery in a short 10/15 min and I was out the door with a working phone! What a deal! So much quicker than Foxpaw! read more

Dude, cracked phone screens are ugly, and to add salt to the wound, expensive to fix. Communication Depot, however, was the best deal I could've asked for. My iPhone 6 was $96 dollars to fix, and since I mentioned the yelp deal, it dropped to $86. They also installed a screen protector for me, which most places like ATT or radio shack charge at least $25-$30 to do. The owner/manager Sam was very friendly and answered my questions when I messaged him on yelp. Definitely make an appointment, your wait time will only be about 20 minutes. I got there about 15 minutes early, and they let me drop it off before my 6:30 appointment. It was ready in 15 minutes or less. Communication Depot is an awesome asset on Cherokee street and I will refer them to anyone I know. read more

The guys working here are great. I had to come in again and again with repeated phone problems (not their fault) and saw them having to deal with a whole host of characters, and they did so with admirable poise. They are great at diagnosing and explaining your phone's problem in understandable terms, and providing you with your options. They work fast and are very good at communication. At one point I paid for a procedure to be done to my phone, and when it turned out I just needed a new phone instead, I was fully repaid in cash. Their prices are equal to or better than anything else you would find around, and their customer service and willingness to work directly with you make them the best option for St. Louis phone services and repair. read more

This place is really CHEAP (compared to the other dozen places I got a quote from) and extremely FAST at repairing phones! Did I mention FAST? I took my Iphone in to get fixed, and they were finished in 20 minutes! The place was busy, but they are efficient with having people working the counter and in the back fixing phones. Everyone there is really nice. Shout out to Mike... Great customer service! I am definitely coming back the next time I need a phone fixed! read more

I had an extremely bad day on Tuesday. I woke up early and went for a run before work, tripped over the sidewalk, tore up my hands, ripped my pants, and, of course, cracked the screen of the phone I just got a week before. I hope I never a crack my screen again but if I do I'm coming back here!! Thanks so much, I wish I remembered your name! read more

Great job repairing my daughter's LG G Stylo cracked screen. Mike responded to a quote quickly. We dropped it off. We picked it up and it was fixed. Easy breezy.
