They told me they had no idea about this order and blamed it on the Shopify app which is weird because I ordered it directly from their website which listed as available and in stock. In order to make this right, the company did absolutely nothing, barely an apology. As a former manager I find this work ethic to be deplorable and I will never do business with this company again, they don't even know what they have in stock, but they take your money anyway. Poor managing and poor customer service, blaming it on the other guy.

But what I enjoyed, and where I found something cool, was in the long boxes under the back issues that had the new releases, chronological by week, for the last 16 months or so. Each box was labeled by the calendar date. I grabbed a #1 from Oct '24 & a missed subscription indie from Feb '24. I passed on but also found a missed variant from last week that my LCS didn't pull for me. Down side was the dude at the counter sat there and had a casual conversation with a customer while I stood there waiting to check out for a good 3 solid minutes before someone else showed up and rang me up where the guy was seated. I WAS greeted when I arrived and found some decent options, but I also felt like I wasn't necessarily noticed.

It's a relatively small store but well-lit and everything is neat and organized. Sadly they were not celebrating Free Comic Book Day because they decided that "free" means "with purchase". They even segregated the "free with purchase" comics into tiers and you had to REALLY spend to "earn" some of the free comics. There were plenty FUNKO POPs and other stuff for sale and it would be easy to spend a LOT there. . .but we won't be back. "Free" should mean free.

Sellers: Just be advised that before you bring anything in make sure you're willing to part with…read morethings for very very very very low prices. I had a few books that I could've sold online for 20 bucks or more and I literally got $1.13 for them and some items I didn't get anything for my items and they took them anyways and on the paper I requested it shows zero cash value. If that's the case then they should give our items back and not just automatically tag them to put out on the floor. They need to rethink their system. If they want to buy an item they need to set it aside and give us a list of hay we buy these items for this amount are you OK with it . Not just assume hey yeah we can go ahead and take this item they don't care and we give them zero for it or $.19 trade-in value. I also mentioned when I got there whatever you guys don't buy from me I'll just take back. They did have some items, most of my items since I brought three bins of movies and video games and books that they did not want. I guess they assumed I didn't want them I said yes I want them back. I asked for a printout of what I sold so I can remove them from online if I had them posted. The guy said oh we don't do that. I said you don't keep track of what you're purchasing from me? He said oh yeah OK and printed out this list and I wish I would've actually looked at it and realized a lot of items they took I got zero for they just took for free. I was not donating items to them nor did I say I was gonna donate items to them. I did buy $30 worth of stuff here (3stuffed animals and a book). I could've got $31 in cash or $70 store credit so I used $30 store credit and got $20 cash back. So I was really hoping for a lot more because I had hundreds of DVDs I just didn't want to take the time to post them online because it's time consuming. But it's just really disappointing only getting literally nothing snd them taking my items and some items maybe a dollar if Im lucky. When I got home realized when I went through the list that they took my Xbox 360 games and movies I literally got nothing for them that kind of pisses me off because I was trying to make money and some of these were worth a decent amount. One of the NEW Xbox games online is worth $25 and they literally just took it and gave me nothing for it . So I definitely will not be selling to them ever again. If they weren't gonna give me any money for my items then they should be giving them back to me.

It was my first time to Ollies and I was super excited. Started to fill my cart up, feeling the Christmas shopping bug and holiday spirit. Then I get to the rug section to look at a few rugs. A lady a few feet away from me kindly asked the young employee if he could help her look at a rug because it was under a pile. He looked at her like she asked him to dig to China on his day off, then he marched over and said, which one? I'll jut let you imagine his tone of voice. She showed him the rug and this is when I couldn't look away. He said, and I will quote almost exactly, " That is an ugly rug. You want that one, you actually like it? She said, "Well, I like the rug. He said, Whatever you want, but that's an extremely ugly rug. I couldn't help myself, so I had to ask if they knew each other. She said no. Shocked, I said, "If you were my son, I would give you a piece of my mind, you should never speak to a customer that way. A few men that were walking near me popped up and agreed with me. What a bitter miserable human being to want to speak to another person that way. He just smirked at us. I had to walk away because it was too crazy to confront any further. I said my piece. I was told there were no managers to speak with, so I am here. It's a shame, because I believe in giving businesses a chance to resolve issues on their own before going to the internet, but they don't care. I was super nice on the phone and told them I just need to make Ollies aware of the situation so that they could speak with the employee about his behavior or maybe he need to go home and sleep his anger off. Someone needs to have an adult conversation with that kid. Either that or he is trying to get fired or in a confrontation. I was born and raised in East Tennessee. People don't treat each other that way around here. That is what makes Knoxville so special.
