But what I enjoyed, and where I found something cool, was in the long boxes under the back issues that had the new releases, chronological by week, for the last 16 months or so. Each box was labeled by the calendar date. I grabbed a #1 from Oct '24 & a missed subscription indie from Feb '24. I passed on but also found a missed variant from last week that my LCS didn't pull for me. Down side was the dude at the counter sat there and had a casual conversation with a customer while I stood there waiting to check out for a good 3 solid minutes before someone else showed up and rang me up where the guy was seated. I WAS greeted when I arrived and found some decent options, but I also felt like I wasn't necessarily noticed.

It's a relatively small store but well-lit and everything is neat and organized. Sadly they were not celebrating Free Comic Book Day because they decided that "free" means "with purchase". They even segregated the "free with purchase" comics into tiers and you had to REALLY spend to "earn" some of the free comics. There were plenty FUNKO POPs and other stuff for sale and it would be easy to spend a LOT there. . .but we won't be back. "Free" should mean free.

Now, originally, I saw that the Loungefly bags were $90 and I had sticker shock price. That's exactly how much they are online, so there wasn't any up charging with those. However, spending nearly $40 on a Jurassic Park shirt is just wild. Again, this is a super fun store to browse around...I just couldn't justify the price gouging.

Pat (the bossman) is super friendly and will greet you by name while helping you find whatever you're looking for no matter how hard unusual of a set it is. There is online ordering available as well as a rewards program and gift cards. There is a huge selection of Legos at competitive prices and we love looking at the huge, completed Lego creations that they have on display. There is a sitting area, children's area and even a four foot section for featured books. The bookshelves are sturdy filled with colorful literature waiting to be devoured. The owner is so friendly and waiting to help. Books not seen are easily ordered and quick to be received. This is a place you can hang and melt your anxiousness away. We will definitely say we have a worthy bookstore in town!

They feature quite a few local authors and also sell notebooks, shirts, puzzles, and other cute journaling supplies. The back of the store is a whole area just for kids. It was a nice quiet space and I'd love to pop back in when I have more time.
