They moved! It's a much smaller store than the old one (near where Kickass Cupcakes is now). But they can still pack it in with as many action figures as possible, especially Star Wars. They've streamlined the selection to the most current issues of superhero and some indie comics, trade books, and bins of discounted issues in the front. Just because you don't see a particular back issue doesn't mean they don't have it somewhere (they just might not be able to get their hands on it right away). When we moved, Comicazi helped us by taking many half-boxes of comics (hopefully to loving homes) off our hands. The guys who run Comicazi and the people working the store are always nice and friendly. read more

I have gone to every local comic shop in Boston but I have never felt more at home chatting about my insane love for all things Batman than here. The staff is beyond friendly and they are super knowledgeable. Beginners to comics should definitely stop in to browse and pick up recommendations. They also offer a great stack system so regulars can pick up their books weekly as well as get a great discount! Hands down the best comic shop in the Boston area for the atmosphere and selection. read more

A mixed bag. They have some good collectibles for those into that stuff (see the Star Wars toys display in the windows) but the comic selection leaves something to be desired. Nice staff, though who will not only answer your questions, but shoot the breeze with you if you engage them about comics. read more

I'm from Texas where you would assume most people our friendly, but this shop is by far the friendliest I have ever been to, coast to coast. I had been looking for back titles for quite some time and the owner immediately came up to me and asked if I needed help with anything at all. I told him what I needed and he was able to help and locate what I needed very quickly. I was charged correctly for back issues (not full price) and the cashier was awesome and recommended some awesome tabletop board games. They offered more than 1 selection on boards and bags, and they had the cutest British bull dog running around the shop. His name is Tyler, and is the MVP of the world. Next time in Boston, will go outta my way and Drive to Sommerville for my books! read more

If you are into comics, toys, or strategy games like Magic, then Comicazi is for you. This place has a room in the back with thousands of retro toys brand new in the box ranging from old Star wars figures to Gi Joe's. They sell comics, imported Japanese toys, Dr Who memorabilia, rule books for RPG's, and on and on. If you are a nerd like me and you are in the area, check this place out. read more

These guys rock my world. Super helpful, fun atmosphere for shopping.

I am also not a huge comic fan, but when I followed my boyfriend into this shop I was overwhelmed by the quirky, fun environment and the variety of things they offer- tshirts, action figures, models, pins, and of course, comics. I was a visual art major in college and am stunned by some of the painterly, gorgeous, silken printed pages of the books in the indie section. When I stumbled across these I realized that I would be back here again and again and again. Support local shops! These guys really are fantastic, friendly, fun :) read more

I come here primarily for their board game stock. They don't have the most extensive selection, but they have lots of great games and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They've always offered to order a game if I come in and ask for something they don't have. They also just expanded their storefront, so their already big store is now even bigger!! read more

The best comic shop in the greater Boston area. I frequent many of them and there is not a better staff or a more organized store. Like any comic store there are long boxes upon long boxes of old runs the difference here is the organization and large aisle space to be able to browse while not feeling as if you are blocking everyone else in the store. Their subscriber only benefits for comics are some of the best in the area and frequently have great bonuses for adding new titles to your list. Add to this their emerging Magic: the Gathering and Pokémon competitive play scenes and you have yourself a real winner. Highly recommend. read more

Im not a comic book collector but browsing through Comicazi would make me proud to get into it. I am always mesmerized when I walk past or go into the store. The customers and staff always seem friendly. As for the action figs and toys.... They have things from my childhood that I thought I would never ever see again. Now can you put a price on that, or give Comicazi enough stars??? read more

Always very friendly when I poke my head in. I like the spread they put on the table outside the door. And they always have a stack of free comics for kids and kids at heart. An ok showing of local comic artists, not the place to look for zines, but they have other charms. Support your local comic book store! read more

Nice little comic book shop. Diverse inventory of new and vintage comics, toys, anime, etc. Staff was friendly and outgoing. Not a lot of back issues if you look for old stuff like I do, but good enough. read more

It is what its name is! I walked around for a whole but ended up buying gift coins here instead because there was just so much to choose from! read more

I dont really read or collect comics, but I was looking for some specific WWII era stuff that my grandfather drew. Mike has been really nice and helpful. The store is well organized and they have a bunch of memorabilia too. read more

If you like comics or comic stuff then this is the place for you. Rows and rows of comics for you to get lost in for days. If they don't have it then they can get it - so be sure to ask! read more

Small shop, but a good spot to get your latest comics and graphic novels- many old action figures- the staff are friendly.

Whoa! Pop culture heaven! Large comic selection; insane amount of action figures and toys ! I love silver and golden age comics, so, I appreciate that they built a nice gallery to display their old comics. For my niece, I love that they have a strong female presence working at and guiding the store. Super cool store and nice staff who are very accommodating! Love this place! read more

Great shop with all the new titles, a nice selection of collected trades/graphic novels, a decent indie section, probably too many action figures (though that's just my taste), and a great great staff. And that's the key, a great staff. Otherwise, I'd just order everything online, right? A real treat to have a shop like this in Davis, no doubt about that. read more

I'm not your average comic book reader, which is to say I'm never looking for things AS they come out... usually years later. I'm terrible like that. Mike is always really good about getting things for me when he doesn't have them, or keeping an eye out for things he thinks I might like. I haven't seen their newest (next door) location, but I need to plan a trip in just so I can see how it turned out. Everyone there is really nice, and I've spent a lot of time just hanging out shooting the breeze about totally un-comic related things. That Mike, he's a smart cookie. :) This place gets a big thumbs up from me. read more

With the move to the new space, and full access to all merchandise on the floor and back issues, Comicaz has taken the jump needed to take it from 4 stars to 5. read more

Started coming here only about a year ago. Unlike most other comic book stores in and out of Boston, the folks at Comicazi actually takes their time to talk to and assists everyone who walks through their door. Geek fanboy or not, even the most uninformed person can truly appreciate their passionate and friendly service. Not to mention they carry way cooler things than those other comic shops! read more

Awesome store-friendly vibe, great selection, easy parking nearby. Definitely will be going bacl.

As good as you will get. I've been going here for years and even continue to do business with them after I moved out of the state through mail order .trescha will help you with anything and is awesome . Look no further if your looking for a new comic shop read more

I frequent multiple comic stores in Massachusetts and this is one of my favorites! The staff at Comicazi is knowledgeable, friendly and eager to help. They take great care at frequently updating the displays of toys and comics to stay current with the trends. They also have a very good selection of back issue comics ranging from $2 bins up to the rare and extremely collectible issues that fetch hundreds of dollars. It should also be mentioned that they try to coordinate many events to bring the community together and keep things interesting. But it should be noted that there is no dedicated parking lot and Comicazi can be a little on the expensive side of $$$ but it's worth the price for the experience in my opinion and how else are they going to pay the rent in Somerville? read more

Just went to an event they hosted here (it was a viewing of an internet series) and they were incredible hosts, great about letting us stay past normal hours. That also seemed like they had a great collection of all the things a comic store should have. 10/10 would go again read more

Wrote to these guys inquiring about a particular style of T- shirt and got a response back within the hour even though they DID NOT carry the shirt I wanted. They even suggested a competitor that might have it. THAT'S called good customer service. read more

Great place for action figures and comics. Comics can be very bent from people that come in and don't buy, but still a good selection. I like all the retro comics on the walls too. Customer service isn't that great but good. Oh yeah i love the bulldog in the store!! lol. Overall a great location and good store, i recommend it read more

Just started getting back into comics a few months ago. Set up a subscription here and could not be happier. They know me when I walk in always say hello. They even know my box number and check and see if I have anything without me asking them to. Every graphic novel and book they have recommended I have loved. Such a great place! read more

Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting and doing business with the folks at Comicazi, specifically Bob. He was super knowledgable and forthcoming with information about some comics that I brought in that were previously from my Dad's collection. I had a good time taking a trip down memory lane, while talking comics. It reminded me a lot of my Dad. When I made the decision to sell, Bob offered me an extremely fair price and I can only kick myself in the ass for not heading there sooner. If I come across any more similar items in my house, hands down I will be heading to Comicazi! read more

From Running Special Events (Cookies, Comedy, Drink & Draw, and Trivia) to Games (Heroclix, Magic, and Pokemon) to having a book club. This store is the perfect place for a hobbyist. You can come and rent a back table for a Dollar a chair and play a board game of your own, or Break out your role playing books and start throwing dice. This carters to no mater what you love. My Girlfriend doesn't care for comics, but catches up on old collect Peanuts strips or thumbs through some of the new stuff that's hitting the comic book shelves. The staff is always pleasant, and does not look down their nose at anyone. One night I saw a group of women coming into the shop just to buy Heroclix , not to play the game, but to Mod the figures to make their own for a game they were playing. read more

Awesome store. I remember when it was up the street a bit, but never made it in. Finally made it in recently, and it was great. The guy manning the register that day was extremely helpful in helping me choose things I was into. Once the owner heard what I was looking for, he personally picked out a bunch of titles that I may enjoy giving over a bunch of time to me for this. Loved the personal attention. Not five stars because the layout of the store leaves one a bit dizzy. Hard to locate things easily. read more

The best store around! Whether you need comics, toys, collectibles, statues, shirts, prints, games, etc... they've got it all! If you're searching for something & don't see it, just ask them & they probably have it in the back somewhere or can get their hands on it later. I've been going to Comicazi for so many years, & I've known the owners for over 25 years. They're the best around! read more

Not a very large selection of books, mostly monthlies and very few indies, but an incredible array of action figures and all kinds of other sci-fi/fanatsy/comic book collectibles. If you're into collecting this stuff than this is your place. It's cool to browse around and wax nostalgic about all those GI Joe and Transformers figures. read more

Very heavy into action figures. I kind of get the impression that comics are not a priority. Not really anything positive or negative to say beyond that. read more

Hands down the best comic store I've been to. Every single employee asked me if I needed help and each of them were able to help me with finding what I needed. They're not in-your-face with what they know, and it's wonderful to see how involved they are with they love and how they like to spread it with others (ask about the events that they hold in the store if you drop by!). I've only been here once, but when I was there, they had great sales outside of the store and inside the store, and I'm happy to see that it's getting all the praises that it deserves. read more

LARGEST SELECTION OF TRANSFORMERS ANYWHERE !!! -Great prices / Knowledgeable / Courteous staff -If you like 80s toys you NEED to come here! Best experience I have ever had at any toy/comic shop. EVER. The guys who run this store are, first and foremost, toy/comic enthusiasts, and toy collectors like us. And it shows in everything they do, from their beyond exceptional customer service to their fair and extremely reasonable pricing. I help to organize TFcon, the largest fan-run Transformers Convention in the world, and I was blown away by the depth and selection of Transformers (and other 80s toys). But what shocked me even more was how great their prices were. No e-bay prices here! No Scalping! No price Gouging! Even with only $5 in your pocket you can walk away with a gem to add to your collection! As far as selection goes they had: Masterpiece G1 G2 Beast Wars Transformers Movie 1 Transformers Movie 2 (Revenge of the Fallen) Transformers Movie 3 (Dark of the Moon) Armada Cybertron Energon Alternators Classics Generations Animated Transformers Prime and more! You don't need to be a comic geek or a nerd to enjoy this store. If you're looking for a gift for someone you care about David (one of the owners) was soooo helpful. Thank you for making me feel like a kid again, full of wonder :) So many good childhood memories were brought back going through your 80s toys: Transformers GI Joe Thundercats He-Man WWF Captain Power Star Trek Star Wars Batman Justice League etc... Sorry for the long post, but I cannot say enough good things about your store. Can't wait to come back. And a personal Thank -You to David, you rock! read more

Everyday is an adventure at Comicazi!! I've been to many comic and figurine/toy stores in my life and I will easily keep coming back to this business over and over again. I love the wide range of comics-from major names to local artists! Their recommendations tables are a great way to find a new favorite series to read. Their figurine and toy selection is out of this world! I have quite the addiction for M.U.S.C.L.E. Men- and Comicazi pulls out the big guns here! Or should I say big bins? And let us not forget the nice range of table top games. From elaborate to simple they'll have what you're looking for! The staff is extremely funny, nice, and helpful. They really listen and are more then accommodating to what you are looking for! (*cough-M.U.S.C.L.E. Men-cough*) read more

Gigantic store. They have basically a whole room mostly dedicated to action figures, a lot of different comic book franchises, and more. But they don't always have what or a lot if what I'm looking for (maybe because i like comic book series that aren't that popular and i have a lot of comic books that are already there.) Other than that. this store is amazing and worth your time! This is my favorite comic store around here! read more

My favorite comic book store in Boston / Cambridge / Somerville. I try to go here every few weeks to dive into their $2 back issue bins, which are pretty well-stocked and accessible (the space is pretty large) and fun to explore. In addition to single issues, the store also has lots of collected runs / miniseries available for reasonable prices. Beyond the older comics, there's lots more to explore in this store: tons of toys from various brands and eras (I'm particularly partial to the wrestling figures), magazines, trading cards, and various other random memorabilia. It's a cool place to wander around: I come here pretty regularly and there's always new things to check out (and the store's Instagram does a nice job of highlighting sales and recent additions). I would recommend that you check the events calendar before heading over: sometimes the back space (toys and most of the back issues) is blocked off (though it is cool that the store does lots of events!). Staff is always super friendly as well. read more
