Great place to visit for comics, cards, posters Marvel Dc figures etc. Alan is very polite and patient and willing to spend time with customers and answer questions if needed. Some things are rare and hard to resist, which is great if you are looking for a special gift or Mancave addition. Prices are more than reasonable in this current economy. Children always are welcomed and find a plethora of items that catch their eye. Highly recommend checking it out. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area. read more

I took my 17-year-old son here because he loves comics. While there, I asked an employee--who may have been the owner--if the store would be interested in connecting with local school districts for a work program for kids with disabilities. He responded by saying that Autistics are "too difficult" to work with. He went on to explain further, but anything else he said was irrelevant given how offensive and discriminatory the initial statement was. Students placed in school work programs are selected because they have the ability and readiness to succeed. As a successful autistic person myself, I can confidently say that autistic people can function very well--including taking their kids to comic book stores and supporting themselves through their careers. This attitude is not only deeply offensive and discriminatory, it also shows a complete lack of awareness of their own clientele--comic shops often have many neurodiverse customers, including those on the autism spectrum. The comment was shocking, insensitive, and ignorant. I was very disappointed and cannot recommend this store. read more

I love this place! Like most comic shops, they have action figures and statues. The selection is a little limited. Due to the size of this location (I'm guessing), their comic selection is limited as well. You'll probably find what you're looking for. They have a large table for table top games, and every time I've been in, it's been in use. That's not my scene, but everyone always looks and sounds like they're having fun. What shines, and I mean brightly, is the customer service. The clerk is so knowledgeable that I've learned something new and interesting every time I've gone in. He seems enthusiastic to be there, he is passionate about comics. Due to the less than stellar selection, I'd normally rate the store a 3/5 or so, but this young man more than redeems any fault. Give this gentleman a raise!! You should stop in and take a look. More importantly, listen to the clerks suggestions and enjoy his knowledge. Passionate people are rare sometimes. read more

i may be a little biased on this because i personally know him, in a sense. My dad used to go to delta with him, so this is like, the one comic store ive been going to since i was a lil kid, like since 6 i think? but yeah, personal bias out of the way, and i can tell you everyone else is speaking the truth. he's super helpful and willing to negotiate certain prices for things, and will set aside something to hold onto for you if you ask him to do so. really great guy, has fair prices on stuff, and just really reliable. he's got a bunch of in box wfc triloogy kingdom figures there as of last time i went in, so if you missed out on those you could go there for em. read more

I was in the area after jury duty so I went on a hunt for comic book stores. Of all my visits that day, this was my last and favorite stop. The shop was organized, well stocked and welcoming. The guy who works there, I think Alan, was super helpful and had the few particular back issue comics I was looking for. Probably one of my favorite comic book shops. Now, it's a small shop for sure, but it has a lot of character. It actually covers two different rooms, right next to each other. The main room is the shop itself. For the room available, everything is well organized and easy to find (with an accommodating and knowledgeable staff). The second room is a gaming room, used to host the weekly Magic the Gathering tournaments. I've always been able to find what I need here and the owner, Alan (who, incidentally, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet), is knowledgeable when it comes to which product is going to be available when. Love this place and if I lived near Lodi this would be my comic store. They don't not have the best selection but some of the best customer service ever! It really says a lot when the people who run the place care about what they do. I think they have a subscription service too. They definitely have a good selection but just a smaller store that can't afford to have 3 dozen extra copies lying around. Who can these days? You should go here. Alan the owner is the coolest comic book shop owner i have ever met you can tell that he loves his job. He knows what he has in stock and he can help you find something even he doesn't have it. He has a nice selection of comics both old and new, plus a great variety of toys, figures and statues. Overall this place is very welcoming and the owner is as knowledgeable as he needs to be. This shop is literally right around the corner from the other shop in Lodi, CA. It was surprising to me that the owner here doesn't communicate or work with the other owner at all to drum up business and build something in partnership. He told us that he just does his own thing. At least the owner is friendly and chatty and I have to give a thumbs up for this. The shop has more back issues than the other shop but it barely goes back to the 90s for something like Action Comics. There seems to be more support for Magic games here too. It's a small shop and he does pulls which is nice. Like the other shop, this one doesn't really stand out as a comics enterprise that I would return to for a second visit unless I was a local. Maybe I'm just spoiled from visiting shops like Heroes in Campbell, CA. read more

I like the shop, it's a very friendly place. Most of the people there are nice and aren't sore losers or dickwads. I know a handful of people who go there and it's safe to say I like the shop. The prices are decent and they have a nice variety of the things that I need. I find it fun how they have a table with a bunch of free stuff on it, I've gotten a fat pack poster from it once. I love the shop, I want to rate it 5 stars but 5 stars is for a different card shop I go to. read more

This place hasn't been the same since the old owner was bought out. For starters, they have so many rules up the ass that it seems like you can't touch a comic book without buying it first. Second is there complete lack of current events on what's going on in the comic book world. You say something like, "Hey did you read that one Wolverine issue?" and they reply saying, "Uhh.....yeah, I think." And finally, they threaten to ban you if you even mention the Launchpad comic book store from across the street. This place is a waste of time and I won't even bother coming back here. read more

I've wanted to get into comic book reading for a long time now, but have always had no clue where to start and have been to nervous to ask for help from someone. Allen asked me if I needed help with anything and even though I was pretty shy and quiet with asking for help, he was able to help me find the perfect ones! He recommended Ms Marvel and Spider Gwen, and I'm burning through them super quick! I love that the shop has a little bit of everything, from board games to magic cards to manga and comics to collectibles. Allen has an awesome store on his hands and does a great job running it and helping guests. My boyfriend lives in Lodi and I am about 45 minutes away, and as much as I just want to buy the next issue online or something so I don't have to wait, I love supporting locally owned businesses so I always wait for my next trip to Lodi to get the next issues. The store has a very friendly attitude. The store owner Alan is a great person and will work with you to make the best deal possible, if you are just getting into comics he will try and help you make decisions, along with that he also will see what he can do about ordering certain product that he doesn't have in stock if you are looking for it. This place has gotten bigger since I used to come here as a kid. There's a separate room for card game and role players. The place is well lit with merchandise nicely spread out. I drop by to just pick up comics I have in my pull list, and next thing I know, an hour or so will have gone by. Staff here's friendly. I've never had a problem with them. read more

This quaint comic shop is a staple for Lodi's youth that dips into the geekier side of life. Doug, the owner, is great about getting people backorders of comics or magazines. The local kids can get a little... well small doses is the best way to take them, but the weekdays are pretty slow anyway. I live in Stockton and I travel here to purchase magic cards. Alan is an amazing dude and is always very helpful in any way possible, as is the other workers here. I have had nothing but good experiences shopping here and I love seeing all the groups of different card games going on. I mainly shop for mtg singles which they have sorted out pretty well. Bfz Commons and uncommon cards are separated and organized by color. So I do not have to dig through endless ancient older cards to find what I'm looking for. I also build gundam model kits and they don't keep any in stock, that might be the only negative to this shop but that is a personal gripe and would be selfish to deduct a star for. I highly recommend checking out this spot, they have a nice assortment of goods, comics, trading card games, various anime figures/statues, bit of manga, comic hero related busts/figures/statues, and even a few oddities here and there. read more
