She works fast, but at the same time is very meticulous. They have a nice color selection in both regular and gel polishes. Swan knows almost every polish by name! She's also very capable of executing nail art designs -- I've brought in pictures of nail inspo and she's done a great job at recreating the artwork. A lot of other salons I've been to don't know how to shape acrylics well, they come out uneven and crooked. Swan has an eye for detail and my stiletto talons always end up looking great! If you're going on a Friday or Saturday, make sure to call ahead and make an appointment. They get pretty busy those days, but it's still worth the wait. I very highly recommend Hollywood Nails, and Swan especially!

They were able to accommodate me as a walk-in which was great, but feeling rushed as soon as you come in a salon is never a good start. I wish I could've taken a minute to look at color on the wall. (easier than digging through a bin of nail rings.) Salon seemed clean at first glance. No tub liner was used in the pedicure bath, which was a bit alarming. My tech did not say a word to me the whole time, which I understand could be language barrier or just not in the mood- totally fine. Note there is no TV, so I was using my phone to entertain myself during the service. I forgot to turn on the massage chair until half way through, which was a bummer. Usually they ask if you want the chair on at the start. Anyway, Instead of tapping lightly on my foot when ready to change feet or just asking me to change feet, the tech grabbed and pushed/pulled my feet around by my toes, that was totally new- not something I had ever experienced before nor did I appreciate. The leg/foot massage was the best part she really went in on my legs! I like a strong massage- and it was definitely on the stronger side. The polish color on my toes came out fine. We are about a month since my service and polish is still intact. -Overall, just ok.

My friend's tech spoke English pretty well but my tech didn't, but my friend's tech was able to interpret my needs to my tech, and all went well. I am very happy with the quality of the services. The salon was not overly busy (later in the day on a Sunday), but clearly the "if you have time to lean, you have time to clean" philosophy was in play here- the salon was spotless. I arrived about 5 minutes before my appointment, and waited for 15-20 minutes to be seen. - I booked the organic exfoliating manicure (no gel)... and was given a basic manicure. No exfoliating sugar scrub. No hot towel wrap. (Both of which are mentioned as services). It was just a very rushed manicure. I included a photo to show how rushed this was. You can see the 2nd coat of polish didn't even fully cover the first coat. 2 nails had bubbles. And I could still see my nail whites through the polish when I left.. - One woman prepped my nails/cuticles and it was painful. No soaking. She put hot lotion glove on my hands and then immediately started pushing my cuticles back without letting it sit for a minute to soften them. Then she left and a different woman painted them. I didn't get either of their names and I'm not sure if I was seen by Angie, who I had booked with. This was just such a strange experience. I felt as though I was treated differently from other customers because I didn't want gel polish. This was my first time and I won't be going back here.
