Disgusting!!!! Checked in and walked into a room that stung our noses with MOLD!!!! He let us see another room and it was just as bad with lemon scented burn your chest cleaner... I told the manager we could not stay there as it was unsanitary. He told us we could leave and we wouldn't be charged, well guess what he charged us, refused to give a refund 3 days later. The hotel has been reported to the health board. You stole my money and you need to be shut down. read more

- Staff: extremely kind & accomodating! - Amenities: Complimentary breakfast from 6-9am. Has waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, apples, bananas, oranges, apple/orange juice. - Room: The door handle was broken, and the TV remote did not work. Had to flip through channels manually. Also, the tv did not have streaming services. - Experience: A shirtless man was banging on all of the doors at 3am looking for a woman named nicole. Woke up & startled everyone. I normally stay a Holiday Inn for their consistency however I decided to give Comfort Inn a chance due to their price point on my weekend trip to the NorthShore. It was super easy to make reservations and there were several room choices at the same price. We decided on a King Suite. When we arrived the check in process was fast and friendly. The room itself was a bit worn from age but also clean. The bed was a bit hard for my liking but the pillows were awesome. Breakfast was good - don't miss out on the waffles, they have a different flavor daily. We also enjoyed spending some time at the pool, it was very clean. The location itself is central to many restaurants and things to do. I recommend. read more

Excellent. Room was comfy and had soft sheets. We chose this Hotel because it had tesla chargers we were thrilled with the cleanliness and comfort of the bed. We just checked out of the Riverside Hilton in NOLa and there is no comparison. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area. read more

GOOD: good price for area, nice clerks, clean, well kept, easy to find BAD: serious safety problem; phone doesn't work. Clerk didn't tell me at checkin. I tried several things but got no connection. Using my cell phone (3%, slowly recharging) I called clerk who said THEY KNEW it didn't work, a few room's jacks needed upgrades so some room's phone can't work. She knew and didn't tell me BEFORE I signed in. Luckily my cell quickly charged up, but no iphone is a FAIL. I'd never choose to get a room without ph service, a bathroom. I put 3 stars over ph issue or it'd be 4. This Comfort Suites room 112 (plus others) having no phone. Bring a charged cell phone for emergencies like toilet backs up (it did), smell smoke or noisy neighbors (yep, til 10 pm ish) etc. Btw, I asked that they provide a room discount for no ph service--the clerks said they don't give refunds or discounts for phones not working. read more

I have stayed at this location several times and the staff have always been friendly and I've never had a problem, until this trip 3/31/25. I have a 13 yo son with down syndrome that was with me on this stay. Around 5:30pm, he was lying in the bed when he got sick and vomited on the blanket. Immediately we got up and went downstairs to let the front desk know about the situation and see what needed to be done and to also see if we could get a clean blanket for the night. Her response was "ummm, I'm not really sure how to handle that". That is all she said so I said ok and my son and I went for a walk outside and then we went back up to the room and we slept with the blanket covered in vomit. We checked out at 8am and there was no one at the desk when we left so I called back at 1015am to verify that we were checked out. The front desk lady confirmed that I was checked out and then said " I have a question. Is that vomit on the blanket?" I could tell she was disgusted by this, which I understood, so I told her yes and explained the situation regarding last night. She said "well I'm just letting you know that if we cannot get the vomit out, you will be charged for that blanket bc it is considered damaging property. We have it in the wash now with bleach so we will have to see". I was in shock! It wasn't like we were having a wild party with drinking and got sick, it was my 13 yo son with special needs!! Also, I cleaned the blanket the best I could! I also went to the front desk and tried to fix the situation! We had to sleep with a vomit blanket bc the lady didn't know how to handle the situation and didn't offer to try and figure it out! Now I'm going to be charged for damaging property bc my son got sick?! I guess we will be going somewhere else to stay from now on. read more

Stopped here on the way to and from Texas in the middle of the Covid Pandemic. Staff was masked and rooms were clean. There are charging ports outside for both Teslas and J1772 cars. There are plenty of places to eat nearby as well. The staff was friendly and polite. All told, a good place to stay. read more

Nice hotel and great staff. Convenience and safe location. Close to I-10. Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Checked in was fast and easy. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Quiet too. Beware! There are two hotels in this town with similar names, one has terrible reviews and the other one is better. While traveling on the road to attend a grandson's state championship football game I decided I would need a room for the night as it would be too late to drive. I contacted the number for reservations for Choice hotels and struggled with the agent to make a reservation as the call center I assume was outside of the US. When I got to a rest area after a little over an hour I checked my email and no confirmation was sent. I then contacted the "Comfort Inn & Suites Covington-Mandeville, LA" and was told they had nothing for me. They gave me the number of the "Comfort Suites Covington-Mandeville, LA" and they confirmed that they had a reservation for me. I informed them that I wanted the Comfort Inn and I was told the agent would check with the manager and I would receive a call back. Never happened. I then contracted the hotel once again and was given the bad news, no cancellation allowed. At this point I contacted the main customer service team for Choice Hotels and after a bit they said there was nothing they could do. As a senior citizen I have a hard time understanding individuals, especially ones with foreign accents. The only thing I was trying to do was transfer my reservation to the hotel I originally wanted. If I hadn't followed up on the email I never received I would've shown up at the wrong hotel around midnight. I guess this was my fault but the customer service from this corporation was no help at all. I guess buyer beware should be posted on their website. read more

I came here as I was looking for a hotel close to New Orleans but not pay the crazy high prices of New Orleans. The only downside is that it took forever to get over the world's longest bridge( Lake Pontchartrain Causeway) from New Orleans. Approximately 24 miles long. Lol The lobby was clean and a tad small. Front desk employee was super friendly. Downside was the elevator was out of order but that's okay, we were on the 2nd floor and I got some good exercise. The bathroom and bedroom was spacious and super clean. It felt very comfy. This maybe that I stayed in a total dump at fake La Quinta the night before and this was like a BMW vs a 1988 Ford Taurus(La Quinta) The free breakfast was hot and tasty. There was eggs and sausage. Can't complain when it's free. I definitely will stay at the hotel for the price. read more

I'm giving the hotel five stars, even though I think that the soundproofing is mediocre. If you're a light sleeper and don't have earplugs or a white noise machine, you may not be happy. That being said, Katie, who worked overnight on New Year's Eve 2023/2024 is a superior employee who quieted down a pack of young people who were still ringing in the new year at 2:45am. God bless her! Her bosses should give her a bonus! The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. It is a no for me. This place is a hot mess. I stopped taking the elevator because I kept running in guests who appeared to be either down on their luck or running from the law. It was super creepy. My room seemed visually clean but there was no evidence that it was sanitized in light of COVID. The towels were rough and had clearly been bleached too many times. Since I'm a little OCD, I actually bring my own towels and pillows when I travel, but I thought you should know. Also, the room felt damp the entire time and I literally did not sleep. They will price gouge you beyond belief when availability is limited. What a sad, sorry company. Charged me and my family 179$ to check into a room at 1:30 in the morning. A room that normally goes for, at the very most, 149. A room that we won't even be in a full 12 hours. Pitiful that they do that to families needing the get off the road. This place is quiet, clean and newly renovated. There is a fridge and microwave in each room. This was a must for us because my boyfriend is a type 1 diabetic. The fridge was a good one too. Most often little room fridges freeze half the stuff and barely cool the rest. Cost was decent also. We'd stay here again. read more
