Awful experience!! I went to Comfort Dental in Lafayette due to severe tooth pain, without dental insurance, specifically because of their "Gold Plan" -- advertised to have steep discounts and free preventive care. That's not how it played out. During my first visit, the dentist doesn't even examine me. Doesn't look in my mouth. Just glances at my x-ray and says "your tooth root is infected," slaps me on antibiotics, and schedules me for an extraction. No other options given, nothing. Just pull it. I paid over $600 for that whole debacle. Horrible, painful experience. Two months later I went back for what was supposed to be a routine cleaning. The hygienist did the bare minimum -- essentially brushed my teeth and called it done. Then I was told it would cost $30, and that all visits carry this fee, despite the plan advertising free preventive care. Are you kidding? I'm still fighting this one. Between the lack of an actual exam before recommending an extraction, the low-effort cleaning, and being charged for something advertised as free, this whole experience felt like false advertising, maybe fraud? Save your money and your teeth and go literally anywhere else. read more

Working in healthcare for the last 20 years I feel pretty confident in calling out Medicaid fraud on this place. My son was seen yesterday for a cleaning. Was taken back at 5:36pm and walked out at 5:52pm allegedly seen for X-rays and a "cleaning" I'm not sure what type of cleaning can be had in 16mins but clearly not a thorough one. On top of the rushed service, the young girl working the front desk had the personality of a wet paper towel. Disrespectful unprofessional attitude, giving me one word answers and talking to me with her face leaning in her hand. The 2 stars is for the welcoming smile and kindness of the hygienist who took my son back and the bright sunny clean waiting room. read more

I had a couple visits to Comfort Dental Lafayette over the last half year. They were in my new network and close to my house. They're close to everything, being right near downtown Lafayette. They have a pretty large waiting room that is often empty. The receptionist was efficient but could have been a bit more outgoing and welcoming. My cleaning was great and they found a tooth needing a crown. After a couple fillings over nearly thirty years, this tooth needed a protective cap installed. Over a couple visit last, they worked on my mouth and gave me a great fitting cover. I will continue to update this review over the next year. I am not a patient of Comfort Dental but can came to purchase a teeth whitening to-go kit. After using it once, I started having an allergic reaction and had to stop. I called and talked to the manager, explained the situation, and she immediately refunded me the cost of the kit. Super nice and accommodating! She said "I don't think you've been here before" I asked her how she spelled my name and it was totally different than the other 3 times I spelled it for her. I was so nervous to go to the dentist since I hadn't been in such a long time but Dr. Bill(?) and his team helped me relax and took care of everything very quickly. They make sure not to talk to you like you don't already know you should brush every day, etc. I definitely won't have as much anxiety on my next visit (meaning I'll schedule at a more appropriate date rather than waiting forever) just knowing they're there to help, not to judge. read more

I have been using Comfort Dental ever since they helped me in a pinch. I had a cracked tooth and needed a temporary crown a couple of days before I was to go on a cruise. My "regular" dentist wouldn't fit me in with this emergency request and suggested prescribing pain medicine instead! I quickly searched and found Comfort Dental and the doctor there said to come on in and they would save me. They fitted me with a temporary crown that morning and I was able to enjoy the food on the cruise with no pain and no doping on pain meds. I have been going there ever since...along with the other four members of my family. My prior dentist lost a lot of business by not being more flexible and understanding. read more

I came in Saturday morning from a horrible Friday night that ended with a Brocken tooth. They immediately calmed me down, numbed me up, and fixed it easy and took me in immediately even though it was last minute. They are great and friendly and understanding of fear of pain! They take Medicaid as well as have knock out gas for pretty cheap if your a scared type like me! They also have payment plans which makes them amazing. Just prior to Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day and the following two days were excruciating painful due to a pair of teeth that would [eventually] require extraction. I finally called Comfort Dental as a result of a simple google search... "dentists near me." I scheduled an appt and within a day, I was in the dentists (Dr Vetowich) chair hearing the news. Of course, going to the dentist is not my favorite activity. I have to say I felt comfortable from that first appt. Fast forward a weekend of pain to the next Tuesday afternoon - appt day... I reluctantly went to the appt and they proceeded to extract two teeth from mouth. Today is three days removed from the procedure and not once have I had an ounce of pain or discomfort since the moment I sat in Dr Bloomfield's chair. I don't know what he does differently than dentists back East but I have a brand new outlook on having dental work done. Not too sure about this office now. I am a previous patient and returned after 18 months or so with somewhat of an emergency that will take a little time to correct. The wonderful, caring staff from before is long gone. Most everyone looks brand new like they're just completing the first week of training in some school. The information I receive is always different because I am always talking to some new person. Customer service is very minimal. Everyone seems to resent my questions. I have met the dentist who is supposedly caring for me for probably less than 5 minutes. I am in this predicament because I was in a hurry to receive care and really wish I would have looked a little further. read more

The dentist I have here is very pro and nice. My gripe is that this is the least comfortable dentist shop I have ever been to. Usually I goto an independent shop. This place is kinda like a fast food kinda shop. My last 3 dentists would give me headphones to listen to and had things on the ceiling to look at while they did their painful stuff. Here it's just a bare white square room and no comforts at all. Like a cheap airplane seat. They dont bill to pay later either. There are no free whiting sessions or anything extra. Even the magazines to read are a yr old and torn up. Some of the receptionists have been kinda less than pleased to help me. Seeming to be having a bad day or just eager to leave work. I cant recommend this place but it's ok and gets the job done. Im looking for a new, comfortable and charming place to go. read more

The whitening system I purchased at this office a few months ago damaged my gums to an extent that it couldn't be used. Dentist not at all empathetic that I spent $200 for damaged gums without teeth whitening. Today, I received the poorest routine cleaning of my life. I had a very negative experience at Comfort Dental, I think people should know about it and be warned.I spoke to Dr Yosoni around July 9 on telephone in regards to a dental problem and he was completely rude, uncaring and unprofessional. Dr Yosoni was more concerned about the paperwork involved in a DORA complaint we were forced to file because of substandard treatment than he was about the pain it caused. He stated he was going on vacation and I had caused him a great inconvenience, never addressing the fact that his poor service resulted in a week of extreme pain and suffering. read more

Linda, I think she's the office manager, is very unpleasant and always has an attitude. I have been going to Dr. Yasoni forever. He is amazing. However, the rest of the dental staff are questionable. After one of their dentists almost killed me when I had a severe infection I was forced to take my dental needs elsewhere. Long story short, don't trust anyone at this location other Dr. Yasoni and Dr. Neal they are superb! Keep in mind this is a clinic though so if you want better work done you'll need to invest in a regular dentist. The only thing I like about Comfort Dental is the extended office hours. read more

Please find this warning about dental malpractice and gross negligence that I received at the hands of Comfort Dental. Less than 3 years ago Dr. Yasoni at Comfort Dental in Lafayette performed a root canal on tooth #21 which failed about one month ago. On July 2, 2015, I went to the other Comfort Dental in Boulder and after an examination and x-rays , I was told that I had a large abscess and infection in #21 and I was prescribed antibiotics and pain medications; however, they refused to treat me saying it was Dr. Yasoni's and Comfort Dental in Lafayette's responsibility. I contacted Dr. Yasoni and explained that I was having problems and made an appointment to see him; however, his receptionist told me that he had put in a crown on #21 and not a root canal. I was in so much much pain, that I went to the office anyway. Dr. Yasoni refused to see me and another dentist examined me and took x-rays and said that although Dr. Yasoni had performed a root canal on # 21, it was not #21 that was bad and denied any responsibility for the failed root canal and the resulting infection. On July 15, 2015, I underwent a complicated and very painful extraction, which lasted for over 2.5 hours and the entire tooth showed significant decay and sutures were put in. Unfortunately, the dentists were unable to extract the entire tooth/post and I suffered permanent Parasthesia. On July 23, 2015, I consulted an oral surgeon who stated that I had a dry socket/exposed bone and that it looked liked a crowbar to my tooth and destroyed a lot of bone. I underwent emergency oral surgery in order to induce bleeding and cover the exposed bone and it was re-sutured and an implant is recommended. Because of Dr. Yasoni and Comfort Dental's malpractice, gross negligence and unprofessional conduct, I have suffered significant damages and pain and suffering. This doesn't even deserve the one star. Was told by the staff that I needed to have fillings and a few crowns put in, at first, for what seemed like a reasonable price. I had to reschedule an appointment that I'd missed on accident, and while scheduling the appointment, the receptionist told me that it would be $480 for the impression for the crown, and the 2 fillings we were doing when I was originally quoted at $440. Fast forward to my actual appointment: I go in, get checked in, and right before I'm supposed to pay them and start my appointment (they wanted to "precollect" the money in advance) and they wanted to charge me $730, which was way over what I'd been quoted in the first place. I pointed out to the staff that I wanted to see a printout, which they gladly showed me, and they then explained to me that "there must've been a mistake" while they were quoting me pricing. The dentist who was supposed to be treating me, came out and started yelling at me that he overheard everything in the next room, and told me that I needed to calm down or else he'd kick me out. I explained to him that what was going on, and that I wasn't willing to pay over $300 for what I'd originally been quoted, and that I understood that mistakes happen, but that this was pretty outlandish. The dentist, overall tried to make me look like I was the person in the wrong, when I absolutely wasn't. At the end of everything, I told them that they needed to get it together, because they were losing my business at the end of the day. The dentist then, in a rude display of any customer service, then yelled at me that he "certainly hoped I would." Gladly! I understand that mistakes happen, and I apologize if I was yelling at the staff, but seriously? You're biting the hand that feeds by yelling at customers, which are your paycheck, and that is a very revealing level of professionalism. read more

Okay this place seriously fucked me over. One they never cleaned under my gums which now (after transferring to a dentist that knows what they are doing) apparently i have Periodontitis gum disease (they showed me in all the xrays and pictures they took of my teeth. they molded a mouth guard that i dont think fits very well (that costed $300) because it kept/keeps getting stuck on my mouth. And ontop of that never tried to help me get any help with how crooked and tight my teeth are. They just blew it off, Instead all they did was lecture me and say "oh you just dont take care of them" (when i try its just hard to maintain my teeth cause they are so tightly packed) instead of listining to what i tell them. On top of that people have to use kids (or very small tools for cleanings, xrays, molds, ets because my mouth is very small) i would tell them this before they started and wouldnt listen and would ahove the big tools and end up hurting my mouth and saying "oh you will be fine" and flossing i told them over and over that they needed to gentally saw the floss between my teeth to get it in and out. I told one of the dental assistants there and they just tried yanking the floss out after. And i have mentioned my that my jaw pops all the time before and thwy blew it off. Apparently i have a serious case of tmj which could possibly get worse caused by a bad over bite that i was also told (its not a bad overbite) when apprently it is a big one. So now because of how they fucked me over i have to pay so much money for an insane deep clean, quite possibly, new mouth guard, and most likley braces and stuff. DO NOT GO HERE! Dr bloomfield was the only one that listned to me and was gental, but i was told he moved away so i tried to stay but i ciuldnt deal with the pain and discomfort they gave me. Do not recommend this location at all! Started going there about a year ago because it is close to home. Do not expect to get major dental work done except basic teeth cleaning and taking the kids for check ups. When I have had to get a crown replacement, the temporary crown fell off one hour after leaving the appointment. Also, they offer extended hours and weekends, but when I have gone in for extreme tooth pain on a Saturday (two different times) I was refused the service I needed. The dentists took a one minute look and stated it was to in depth and was told to reschedule for the following week or referred to a specialist. There is currently turnover of dentists at this location and I am not pleased with the abrupt mannerism of the new dentist during my recent appointment. Payment is also expected upon service. I was told the amount to pay for the work being done before I even sat in the chair, which I should have paid at that moment. Since, I chose to wait till after the appointment my bill increased $100.00....should have paid before instead of after!! read more
