I came here for a standard cleaning and it was good. The hygienist Cabrina (sorry if I misremembered her name though) was very nice and worked with me to get the XRay images done even though it made me very uncomfortable. Perfect level of efficiency, not making the silences awkward, and very little talking while there were tools in my mouth which was good. Dr. Yancy was also great. They both did a good job resolving my concerns and caring for my dental needs. Notes - they only sent the paperwork for my appt 20 min before my 7:30 am appt. It would be better if they sent the night before so I wouldn't have such a frantic time filling it out. read more

I just wanted to share what excellent experiences I've had at the Comfort Dental in Golden. They are always so good about getting me in for appointments and even last minute needs. They go out of their way to be kind and answer questions and explaining things to me. They are very good about making sure ny insurance and information is all set and have helped me when I had some confusion on it and changes. This last weekend they went above and beyond. I called and left a voicemail on Friday night when my crown fell out of my mouth from eating a gummy vitamin (if u have a crown I highly recommend not chewing vitamin gummies lol) anyways they called and texted me at 730 am Saturday morning and even though they were fully booked told me to come in and they would squeeze me in to get this fixed. I happened to call a couple other places as well just to see who would call or reach out first and no one else even responded back to my phone call. But Comfort Dental in Golden specifically has just been phenomenal with this kind of stuff. Texting and leaving me a voicemail with such a quick follow up on a Saturday morning. And when I came in as always they were a true delight. I was welcomed with a smile double checked my information took me almost immediately back. They checked the crown cleaned it up checked my teeth made sure nothing was broken. Cleaned the inside of my mouth and did the work of putting it back into place. And we also made a follow up appointment for my next cleaning. Everyone from the front of the office to the back was and is so kind and friendly and they all seem like they get a long. It's such a great vibe here. I was in and out within a half hour tops! I've had issues with other dentists offices in the past but not this one. I had an appointment that I could not keep for a root canal with sedation. I phoned the office well in advance of the 24 hour notice (almost 36 hours). I was told that they would be keeping my entire $150.00 deposit and that if I wanted to reschedule, they would require another $150.00 deposit. I feel like I was just robbed of $150.00. The dentist I visited, Dr. Heath Colledge, was excellent. But the staff and particularly the "manager" I spoke with with not friendly or helpful. Is this right? I usually had great experience here for 20+ years and then they got an asshole hygienist with no bedside manner. I came in for my normal cleaning and scaleing. All of a sudden I get a hygienist and not a dentist and she tells me she isn't gonna do the normal cleaning cause I need a deep cleaning. I tell her I will schedule a deep cleaning in January but let's do the normal cleaning. She told me no but was over the top snarky and rude . Nothing was done here today. When I went to check out. No one was there to check me out. Everyone was whispering and a bunch of them went to the back. I left! Wow worst experience ever. No wonder why this place had a huge turnover. I was having some teeth pain, my sister told me about Dr Colledge. I made an appointment when I arrived I was greeted with a smile, what checked in fast and was shortly on my way to the chair to get checked out. I was very nervous but Dr Colledge eased my worries and was even funny which eased my worries even more. I absolutely loved that he was very upfront with me, when telling me that he's going to hurt me before he makes me better. When I scheduled my "new patient" appointment a few weeks ago I confirmed that they participate with my dental insurance. After I scheduled an appointment I was informed that my insurance approved a cleaning and exam. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and completed their paperwork before my 11 AM appointment. I sat in the lobby for 25 minutes before I was ushered into a room. Fifteen minutes later the dentist arrived and spent about 5 minutes with me. Since I had a commitment at 1, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep it. I explained that to the dentist who suggested that I reschedule which I did for the following week. When I arrived for the rescheduled appointment this week, a few minutes before my appointment, I noticed that the lobby seemed crowded. Little did I know that there were only 2 clinic rooms available since the entire practice was being painted. After waiting for 30 minutes and realizing that there were a few people before me, I informed the front desk staff that I couldn't wait. Needless to say, I did not nor will I schedule another appointment. Not only are they disorganized, the lobby was shabby and the fabric on the chairs was stained. The staff members and the dentist seemed friendly but that didn't justify me becoming a patient. Having worked for a University based dental school, I expect to be impressed from the moment I arrive to the moment I leave. Cleanliness in any medical practice is important to me, if the lobby and waiting areas appear to be dirty I have to wonder if the clinic is the same. Had a terrible time getting fillings for cavities. The first technician was very nice but did a terrible job, to the point it hurt to eat and put pressure on any of the teeth done. The second technician had horrible customer service but did a decent job with the fillings, but still very uncomfortable during the process. They could not for the life of them figure out our insurance either, took many many calls and pieces of paperwork until they finally got it about a year after we first stated we had dental insurance. I was in Golden for my son's wedding and developed a terrible toothache. I called for an appointment and was advised that they were booked for the rest of the day but was encouraged to come in as a walk-in patient. I was able to be seen within 20 minutes of my arrival to the office. Everyone was very kind and efficient. Dr. Yancy gave me options for treatment that made me feel like I was in control. She was able to make me feel well enough to enjoy my son's wedding and able to make it home for the much needed root canal. Took 3 calls to get an appointment...first call got a recorder that asked me to leave a number and they'd call me back. Two days later, no call back so I called again and got the same message and hung up. Third a day later call got some one to pick up and made an appointment. A day later the moved my appointment to another day. Asked for just a cleaning...no x-rays or deep cleaning. The $170 charge was more then double the cost last Fall for the same service. I checked with another local Comfort Dental and their charge for the same service was $80. Be aware that the Golden Comfort Dental is disorganized, their service is horrible and they're are a rip off!!! read more

Courtne in the back of the billing department or scheduling was so rude, condescending, belittling, dismissive. I could go on and on. She should not be interacting with customers/ patients. Right off the bat she was defensive and condescending . Talking over me and gaslighting me instead of working to resolve the issue. Her job is to work with insurance and patients right ?? After going here for a few simple fillings, I ended up after a month of dealing with excruciating pain, going to another dentist who said this comfort dental messed my back lower molars up so bad I would not only need 2 root canals, but I also had an infection growing underneath those molars that were causing me to get sick with achiness, puking, constant passing out, and migraines. Been going to the Golden Comfort Dental for a few years. I am always impressed how quickly I can get into the office and how great the dentists are. They explain any procedure with the detail that I ask for. I had a surprise last night, my 25+ year old root canal failed, they started it right away. It was a late appointment and Dr Holman texted me the next morning to check in with me. I have never had any medical professional do that and I was blown away. Great place. They will lure you in with a discount but end up costing you more in the end than if you went to any family dentist and developed a real relationship with a dentist. I am on disability and several years ago my mom was trying to help me out by paying for me to get an exam. I figured they'd be the most reasonable option. Of course then they needed to take panoramic X-rays which ended up costing hundreds of dollars (and like I said this was YEARS ago when stuff was cheaper). X-rays were 3x what I would pay anywhere else. The cost was not explained beforehand and when I went to place on my mom's credit card I felt horrible. The dentist and staff are friendly but my teeth that were bothering me just hurt worse after their fillings and still hurt almost 8mo later. I refuse to go back and need a new dentist. The actual fillings were done by people other than the dentist and are easily the sloppiest work in my mouth. I had trouble with my bite and had sharp points that I had to go back and get fixed afterwards. I have never had to do that with my other dentists. That isn't normal!! The room where the exams and work is done is a general room where you can hear all about your neighbors dental health and the dividers are a sad effort towards privacy. My experience was not great. I had a filling once here done by some assistant? Definitely not the dentist. My mouth was numb still as the filling was being done, which I had no problem with, it just made it difficult. I was having a tough time keeping my mouth open for such a long duration and the assistant lady said that "I'm going to have to do this all over again if you don't keep your mouth open." Then after the filling, I could feel that it was a bit large and affected my bite. I told the lady that I don't like how I am biting down and she said, "you'll get over it". I actually never got "over it". I chipped that tooth 2 months later. This company seems to also be all for root canals. That seems to be their go to solution at many times. They are all about quantity of patients instead of quality of teeth. Never will go back again. I instead now go to a dentist who is not with this company, does the fillings himself, attempts to save all the bone he can, and is focused on quality... Opposite of Comfort Dental. read more

Wow!! I am 48 years old and I have just found the best Dentist I have ever had!!! I don't even want to tell you his name for fear that he will get so busy that I'll never be able to get an appointment with him again, LOL. Dr. College is GREAT, I have never had any dentist make me feel like I was totally safe and that he was really concerned about my dental health (and he's really funny too) The first time I came to Comfort Dental, I had a broken filling that fell out and they fit me in right away. They took full set of x-rays, and replaced my broken filling, after that was finished, Dr. College showed me what he could see that needed to be replaced right away and what could wait a while, they even looked up how much my dental insurance would cover so I wouldn't have to pay so much out of pocket. All of the staff is so professional, friendly and helpful. This is the ONLY Dentist I have had that I don't dread going to. Over the last year or so I have had to have 2 root canals and 2 new crowns, and several old silver fillings replaced. I can't thank Dr. College and all his staff enough for making every dental appointment well, almost pleasant. read more

I honestly can't say enough how much I am disappointed by this place. I received a bill 3 weeks after my appointment that was 4 times what I have paid at other Comfort Dental locations. When I called they said that they didn't take my insurance and I would have to pay the full price. This would be fine- if I hadn't called before my appointment to clarify that they took my insurance AND waited while they ran my card before my appointment. They handed my card back to me and said I was all good to go. Then during my meeting with the doctor I again mentioned that I wanted to make sure everything they did was covered by my insurance. Basically I made every effort to make sure that my appointment would be covered. When I was finally contacted by their office they mentioned REPEATEDLY that they were doing me a "courtsey" by even checking my insurance at all (even though I've never been to any kind of doctor that didn't normally do this). Plus how is it a courtesy if they check my insurance but fail to tell me that NOTHING they do will be covered?? Not really sure how that adds up. I have been going to the Comfort Dental in Evergreen for a long time and always loved it. When I couldn't get an appointment there during the week I was in town I decided to try the Golden location instead. I definitely won't make that mistake again. All in all I would say it's not worth the risk that they will rip you off the way they did for me. No matter how careful you are about asking them to check- they just simply won't do it. Absolutely worse place I've ever had work done. Not only do the fillings I got hurt worse than they did before (let alone the migraines that happen anytime I chew), they gave me a chemical burn on the corner of my mouth and it looks like I now have herpes. It'll take about half a month to heal because it's so raw and they did nothing to compensate me for the pain. In addition, I felt like I was merely a statistic there. I have really good judgement with sincerity and they are by far the least personable staff I've ever met. You walk in, no one tries to make conversation, simply saying, "Name? Fill this out and the doctor will see you." Then you go into the back room, the doctors explain what is going to happen and never ONCE make eye contact. I was recommended by a friend here in town. Loved Dr. Paulette, any questions I had she would answer with no problem. Does amazing work, had a cleaning then four cavities filled in. No problems with them. I did, however have three different nurse assistants. There was Felicia, Melissa, and Shawnee. They were all very kind, no attitudes or anything. But one out of those three frightened me. Saying how she was new to this company, she's worked as a dental assistant before.. But she seemed very nervous and under pressure.
