Darlene, another associate, and the manager on duty (I wish I knew his name) provided me with the highest level of customer service. He made my day! He was a one man show on the floor and handing pickups and he even located my 18" Baker Santa that I was looking for online. Darlene found me on the floor, and she let me know that the manager had located my item. When I got to the register, Darlene took her time, and she made sure that my coupon was properly applied. I was able to find the most unique garland & Santa's. They have something for everyone. The store is neat, clean and well maintained. My order was quickly and efficiently processed with a smile. Darlene was professional, and I loved the way she worked to provide exemplary service as she even assisted her coworker when I arrived with my return.

My loved one was in Memory care. All was fine, until he became more difficult for them to watch…read more Aside from residents room ( which minimal time is spent in when in memory care for socialization purposes) there is only 1 bathroom and it was not labeled most of his stay. They did attempt to print out a pic of a toilet. My dad (male) would just walk down the hall and pee. No one was ever watching him when this happened. The urination became a problem, so they kicked him out. He only had a little over a month left to live by this time. I also found a bruise on my father's head. They have cameras, but had no clue what happened... at this time, they also said he had been combative. This was not his alzheimers personality, he actually became nicer unless scared. His room was filthy and never cleaned. I have images on his last day where they filled an entire garbage full of trash from his room. All of his clothes needed washing 3 plus times due to smelling like urine. Mouse shit was on the floor of his room as well. After speaking with other family members of previous residents, this has become the norm of ritten house in Portage. I should also add that they were treating him like a phsych patient, giving several doses of Ativan so he'd just sit in a daze and they wouldn't have to deal with him as much. Once at the new facility, meds were changed and behaviors were no longer a problem. Shame on you Ritten House!!!!!!!!!!! On the day of discharge, they game me expired medication they were giving my dad and a bag of clothes he urinated on earlier that day The staff will say anything to get you in the door. They'll act like they care for maybe a week or so and then they'll start increasing the cost, saying your loved one requires more care (even when they dont). The staff we started with quit within the year we were there. Most employees there aren't for the patients. I even caught one one her phone with her back turned to the residents while sitting on a residents rollator walker. I sent a pic to the manager, who then called out her staff member via cell phone. The staff member confronted me before I left. ​​​

I would like to say that the people that I've had come to my home to help me from right at home…read moreoutweigh the old service I used to have by far. I have never had such good in-home service as I do now. The old company I had I would go 2-3 weeks without service or helping my home and ride it home. We had a service interruption for one day and they took care of it immediately. The people that come into my home are attentive. They take care of anything I need. If if they think I need help they help me. If they think I can do it on my own they let me try. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with all of them. The care that they give is wonderful. I I love the girls. They do a great job and they take no time to help at all. They don't question you. They just do it. The only thing to ask you is what I want done and they do it. I'm not demanding at all because I don't think that's fair to anyone but they just jump on it and do it and I love them for that and they treat my dogs with respect. They treat me with respect.
