The office staff, especially Adrienne and Tory, genuinely care about meeting your needs, and do what it takes to get it done. Our first caregiver, Octavia was great, but had schedule conflicts, which resulted in them sending Destiny to us, who is absolutely phenomenal. She's excellent at her job, very caring and kind, does a great job and performs her duties to our requirements every time. Shes fast and thorough; as well as extremely honest, respectful, and trustworthy; and always on time or early! It's not clean. Short staffed. No response repeatedly to patients calling for help or nursing care. Don't go there. And don't have your family there. Also NO front desk help. No security. Anyone can walk around anywhere. That's so below any health care standard.

The physical therapy department is excellent but there is a communication gap between staff. I know…read morethat 2 of their aides are excellent: Alexia and Laura. My sister was in the facility and I communicated with staff every day. I would speak with a member of the medical staff but then other staff would not follow the recommendation. There was constant miscommunication with the kitchen staff and I heard other staff members complaining there was a shortage and lack of training with kitchen members. The administration was also a problem. They reached out to me and encouraged my sister to come to their facility. Once she was placed, I asked to see Mariann Gornal but she was too busy and told the receptionist to find out what I wanted. The social worker contradicted information I was told multiple times. She did not even know my sister's diagnosis and I had discussed it with medical staff. Have they heard of documenting? That information should be available to staff members. If you're going for physical therapy and it's a short stay, you'll survive. But if your loved one has a serious condition, you may want to look elsewhere. If they ever improve communication between staff and between departments then they could be an excellent facility.

It's great that there is no long term contract and we weren't required to pay for a minimum number of hours per week. They only billed us for when they actually came in. Mom really enjoyed all the caregivers who came to see her. It allowed her to stay independent for a little longer. I would strongly recommend Amada for anyone who needs a little extra help.
