Yummy drinks - A tall, transparent glass contains a dark beverage, possibly a cocktail, with a slice of grapefruit on the rim as garnish. The table surface is dark, and there are some napkins and a quilted bag nearby. The background features purple and blue lighting, indicating a nightclub or bar environment.

Loved all of it. Great night out . It's nice how they come around for your drink orders so you don't have to wait in long lines. Great ambiance. Awesome comedians saw Matt Riffe there ! Nice to have a smaller venue !!! Great seats all around! You can't beat this place.

Nice time here seeing Scott Seeis. Friendly staff and cozy inside....they really jam people in there. They have qr codes at the table for you to order and pay but a waitress still comes by to take your order. They only have alcohol and chips/candy, so probably plan on eating before or after tge show. Overall, I'd come back.

Seating from the back wall . - A comedian performs on stage at Comedy Connection, a comedy club with a brick wall backdrop illuminated by purple lighting. The performer, a woman with long hair, is holding a microphone and appears to be mid-performance. Audience members are seated facing the stage, with some water bottles visible on the tables. The scene captures a live comedy event in an intimate venue.

Seating wasn't too bad. I think I preferred to sit in the back where it was darker and you could still see the stage. Up front was very bright and crowded. The service was alright. Side note to business owner: Was corrected about the price of the drinks and the Heineken was in fact $6.00. I split the drinks and I wasn't aware, instead I thought I paid $30 for 2 drinks . (Thanks Corey for asking).

In line to see Murr - A group of individuals forms a line outside the Comedy Connection comedy club during nighttime. The venue's sign is visible on the building, which has architectural details like columns. Streetlights and nearby traffic provide illumination, and some people are engaged with their phones while waiting.
    Rooty T.

Comedy Connection is a tight seating venue but offers great line up of comedians. Latest visit was to see Murr from impractical jokers tv show. The line to get in was long, but if you arrive 30 to 45 minutes before show starts seating is too bad. Food is limited to packed snacks, drinks included a full bar.

Great show, saw headliner Phoebe Robinson. The drinks delicious. The seats were a little bit uncomfortable

Is there a food/drink minimum? Can I just go for the show without ordering anything?

No minimum! But the drinks and food are cheap so order something!

Do you share your table with strangers?

General admission seating. Depending on how many people in your party you could be seated with strangers.

Not bad at all…read more When you walk into Bravo on Saturday night, keep on walking (more or less parallel to the bar), until you see the staircase up to the second floor. You will emerge into a big private dining room which doubles as the home of The Murder on Us Dinner theater. They rotate a series of different plays, and tonight, as we hit the top of the stairs, we were greeted by the perplexing sight of a coffin ! We started off with a cocktail hour, and about half way through our drinks, we heard the sound of a wailing banshee. The mourners had arrived ! We met four members of the O'Sullivan clan, and Mary Margaret who were all on hand for our play -Murder at the Irish Wake. They mingled with us in character for a half hour before we were seated, and that was a lot of fun. Scenes of the play were interwoven through the various courses of dinner - soup, salad, your choice of four pre-selected entrees (Sirloin, Salmon, Chicken, or Rigatoni, all with mashed potatoes and a medley of vegetables), a terrific loaf of fresh French bread, and a slice of chocolate cake. The play involved the mid-wake death of one of the mourners, and we had to figure out who the murderer was, how the dastardly deed was accomplished, and what the motive was. It wasn't fine dining, and it wasn't Al Pacino or Meryl Streep, but we sure had a very fun time!

The shows are great (and getting better!), they have a slew of weekly events (improv! dance dance party party!), they offer affordable classes (playwriting! acting! belly dance!), AND they are a centrally-located studio rehearsal option for other performing artists. Jingle Belles and a Few Balls, their yearly fundraiser, is a well-cherished holiday tradition in Providence: a burlesque-heavy variety spectacular with a kooky theme - what else can get you in the holiday spirit but some breasts donning glittery Santa Claus pasties? Their tagline is 'Rhode Island's Research & Development Theatre' because they are one of the only theatres in Rhode Island that present original works from nation-wide sources. That's awesome, AND I think this label often gets them unfairly dismissed as a playground for the avant-garde theatre set. Although they do a fair share of experimental stuff, I have seen some incredible, super-audience friendly performances at Perishable. I've been attending shows at the theatre for the past five years, and the quality of performances increases steadily with each season. 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch', performed this past April, was seriously some of the best theatre that I have seen in Providence. The theatre is a black box with handicap access, tickets are affordable to the masses, the bathrooms are clean and spacious (there's two one-at-a-timers), and you can bring in drinks from the AS220 bar next door (bonus!). Free parking can be a pain if it's a busy night downtown, but parking behind the library is usually a good, free bet on any night of the week. The staff of the theatre is small, but VERY dedicated and includes Amy Lynn Budd - director of the theatre arts school and momma of the burlesque scene in PVD. As part of Perishable's season, Amy Lynn is presently working on the third iteration of her biographical play called 'The Thing That Ate My Brain....Almost', a wacky Ed Wood-esque horror flick/comedy detailing her experiences living with a rare and nearly-fatal genetic illness called VHL. Amy Lynn's play is a great example of the kind of the bizarrely gripping tales of humanity you'll see onstage at Perishable. From such a small budget and rather limited space comes some really well-done theatre. I would caution more conservative patrons to do some reading about a show before you attend - there is no denying that some of their work can be, well....weirder than your average community theatre. If you're looking for safe, stick to PPAC. If you're down for a little theatrics - get to Perishable!

Our party ranged in age from 16 to 83, and every single one of us had an unbelievably fun time! There were 7 actors involved in the murder show, but a few of them were scattered here and there as "plants" at various tables. They all did an amazing job of acting, even the plants who only had a few minutes of action. The two main detectives were fantastic! There was a lot of interaction throughout the show with each of the ten or so dinner tables. In fact, I was selected to assist the two main detectives as a "Rookie" detective. I leaned into the role and really really enjoyed myself! It helps if you're a "yes, and" kind of person rather than a "no, because" type. And I'd say that's true of the show overall because they frequently singled out people by asking them to stand up and answer some questions or even come up to the front of the room and act something out. The food was acceptable, and the bartended cash bar drinks were fine. The quality of the food and drinks is probably going to vary by venue. We went to the show in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, RI. The plot of the murder story was actually just difficult enough that you had to do some thinking to solve it. And they gave you enough clues that it was definitely solvable for a few people, including one at our table who solved the mystery of "who done it" and won their award for the best explanation! All of us in our group absolutely want to do another Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show! It's incredibly fun if you go with the right attitude!!
