Finally went downtown to get me some much needed coffee from one of my fav coffee shops and roaster. Had the maple and pistachio lattes. They were excellent. Very balanced flavors for both lattes. I had a gift card and it took me forever to find it on my phone. The ladies were patient as I located it. They were terrific!! I love this coffee shop and wish I could have stayed longer. It has a cool chill vibe throughout the shop. It is cozy and extremely inviting. I will return soon to enjoy more coffees. Memphis,TN. We took a stroll down to this part of town from our hotel, seeking our morning lattes. The people working there were wonderful and cheerful. We felt welcome. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have breakfast. I guess I had been reading an old on line menu, but the kitchen has since been closed. The latte art here is well executed and quite beautiful. As pretty as the lattes were, they didn't measure up. Both Steph and I knew immediately that we had to seek our favorite caffeinated beverage elsewhere. They were very weak with little espresso flavor, more like coffee flavored warm milk. This weak blend was additionally surprising because the cups are so small. I was also assured that we got double shots. I know I have pretty intolerant standards when it comes to my latte, perhaps this is the right mix for you? read more

This is a pretty versatile spot! When you get onto Main St, drive past the coffee shop and find the free parking lot (see sign in the photo). Once inside, there are plenty of seating options, from a bar at the window, to couches, to tables. I noticed people working, hanging out with friends, and grabbing coffee to go. I like that Comeback offers creative seasonal lattes, such as a corn-based drink and a lemon shortbread one. However, I tried the blueberry pancake latte and unfortunately I was disappointed - it didn't have much flavor. So trendy!! This place is cute and cool and really such a vibe. Easy on and off from the highway while we were driving through. My husband got an espresso and I got the grandmas latte. We found it odd there weren't pour-over options? But otherwise a good looking menu. Our drinks were good but nothing overly amazing. My biggest issue was that there was no changing table in either of the bathrooms. I also felt a bit unwelcomed about having my baby with me. The baristas were nice enough and helped me get some hot water for my bottle but the fellow guests seemed a bit annoyed even though my baby was good and we only stayed for a little bit. Favorite place to get coffee and hang out in Memphis! Their drip selection is great, and they'll have a good variety of seasonal drinks, too. Currently, they have kinfolk in residence - they do a ton of food like biscuits, biscuit sandwiches, breakfast bowls, etc. Really tasty though a tad overly heavy/greasy. Hands down the best coffee shop in Memphis - no questions asked. The love for their perfectly curated environment, incredible coffee drinks, and insanely scrumptious food is proven simply in the length of their line in the mornings. I have been coming to Comeback for about three years now (almost as long as they've been open) and could not love the baristas and environment more for studying, socializing, and working. There is a quaint courtyard type patio out back that certainly makes you feel like you're not in memphis anymore. I've been aware of Comeback Coffee's existence for a while, but I'm not generally in this part of town. It was a welcomed respite on a hot morning. It is so beautifully decorated inside. The menu is very diverse yet had precisely what I needed to satiate my appetite. The sausage and strawberry jam biscuit was perfectly sized with a great balance of sweet and spicy. The biscuit was soft with a slight crunch and the sausage was adequately sized and spicy. The jam was a nice touch. The service was good and the ambiance was good too. I'm really sad I don't live in Memphis because if I did, I'd be here daily. However, if that was the case, I'd prob spend all my money on coffee and pastries and never pay my rent and have to live in the coffee shop, so maybe it's for the best that I don't live there. First off, it's a beautiful space. Inviting, modern yet eclectic decor, lots of natural sunlight, cozy couches and chairs and calming colors. It's really aesthetically pleasing. The baristas were so patient with my sister and I. We wanted to order every drink on the menu but we each only had one mouth so we asked a trillion questions about the speciality drinks before we made a Decision. I loved how helpful he was and how it Didn't seem like we were annoying him. We both ended up getting a drink for now and a drink for later . The specialty drinks are really distinct in flavor and you can tell that no details were spared as fall as creativity and quality. I was so impressed that the flavor profiles were not things you'd find any where else. We got so many pastries - too many to name (see pics) but every single of was absolutely delicious. I decided to check this place out as we wanted something hot to sip on. Parking wasn't an issue since it's Sunday. I was able to park right out front. The staff were friendly. The store was nice and toasty, which was great. I was so happy to see a cider on the menu. I ordered the 12oz pear cider hot. The spices were delicious, but it could've been a little hotter. Sure, the name of the place makes you want to make a Kim Kardashian joke but there's more to this place than that. I came in and ordered "whatever coffee you think is best" and received the coffee soda (lemon and thyme) and oh my - I'm in love. Obviously reluctant, I mean... lemon and thyme, coffee, soda??? But it was light, refreshing and absolutely delightful. I stuck around and ordered the "Chanel" iced latte as well. Orange, espresso, coconut cold foam. This was also very tasty and would recommend. We tried two speciality coffees: Cayenne Cowboy; a cayenne pepper flavored late, and Up In Smoke; a smokey mocha, both excellent (they were not hot enough, so you might want to order your coffee extra hot). We also tried a sweet cream cheese brioche, and a savory onion flavored pretzel, we liked both. The interior is very roomy, with stylish decor and comfortable sofas, in addition to a huge courtyard that offers outdoor seating. Staff was not friendly at all and only engaged with the frequent visitors they have. Every table inside was full (not their fault) so I sat outside which is next to a construction zone. I love the coffee shop here! They rotate different roasters on bar and provide some of them for retail purchasing. The staff are friendly especially the owners. The coffee quality is phenomenal and I enjoy their black coffees the most. They come out with seasonal beverages which are fun and a banger. They like to host community events like movie nights that gather the community. There are frequent pop ups such as Kinfolk Memphis (breakfast biscuits served Sat and Sun while supplies last). The shop is beautiful inside. The prices are fair. The coffee sodas are addictive. Plenty of seating and outlets for work + studying. Absolutely love this place! Very modern aesthetics with a large seating area outdoors. Many professional school students study here. Currently with COVID, some of the indoor seating is blocked off with the outdoor seating remaining open. Make sure to come early if you want to claim an indoor spot. This is a great little coffee shop near DT Memphis that I definitely recommend visiting. While there were a couple (minor) downsides to my visit, they were both COVID related, and overall, I still think this is a great coffee shop. The coffee here is amazing, even if you can't get a pourover right now (because of COVID). Their drip is surprisingly good, so it's worth getting if you usually prefer pourovers. Their espresso drinks are also good, and I also liked my americano. The food also isn't bad. I tried the vegan bagel (dairy free of course), and it was quite tasty. I appreciated the fresh and healthy (yet filling) combination of ingredients. The staff here is amazing, with great customer service. In addition to coffee quality, customer service is important, and they definitely work hard to take care of their customers here. Aside from the lack of pourovers, the one other downside is that the inside seemed a bit crowded, and the line to order actually snaked around inside and made me feel a bit uncomfortable with relation to COVID risk. It wasn't *that* cold outside (mid 50's), and I feel like they could have made people wait outside rather than jam a bunch of people indoors. Aside from those two minor things, though, I really like this place, and I will be back. read more

This was my third visit to this establishment and I'm giving 2 stars only because I do enjoy the coffee. The problem was that on this particular visit, the young man working and preparing coffee sneezed, wiped his face, went to the back to blow his nose, and returned without ever washing his hands. He went right back to preparing people's orders and cleaning. Then once he was done, he scratched his beard and played in his hair. He never washed his hands! I kept waiting for him to realize what he was doing and that people could see his behaviors but he was completely oblivious.
