Really I would give them negative 5 stars. I HATE calling into Comcast! I have had several internet and cable issues and every time I call in I am on the phone for at least 30 min. I get "accidentally " hung up on" more then once. I have asked several times to speak with a manager which never happens. They will tell me someone will call back they NEVER do. Now I have been down to my local Office on Cortaro and they are nice. The MANY techs that have been out to my home are very friendly. With the choppy service and terrible phone customer service, Comcast has to be one of the worst companies out there. It's obvious that the management doesn't care how their customers are treated. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I'm new to the area, and tried to connect my modem yesterday, spending two hours on the phone with tech people in the Philippines! To have someone come out and connect it is going to take more than a week. I am one very unhappy customer! I'm going to cancel my account. Good riddance, Comcast. Worst experience ever! read more

We are very unhappy with the Technical Support that COMCAST provided. If we do get a COMCAST technician that speaks english, and is based in the United States, and NOT India, or the Phillipines they are unable to support any call that involves more than sending a 'Modem Reset' signal. If the call requires support of a technical nature beyond pushing one button the call goes to a third world CALL CENTER. The level of service at this point is very poor in nearly every case we have had during the last 2 weeks. I would have pulled all of my hair out if i did not have my Verizon Wireless Aircard. This allows me to connect to the INTERNET without using COMCAST. At least I can still work from home as i try to repair my COMCAST Internet connectivity. I am a techical worker and have a computer networking background and currently work as a Database Administrator. I do work with off-shore, and near-shore resources at my day job. I do feel i am a good judge of skill sets when working with a Technical Support engineer. I must say the COMCAST technical support resources supporting the phones during the weekend shifts are VERY BAD, YES... VERY BAD. If you have other options for high-speed internet service do yourself a favor and choose that option prior wasting time and getting frustrated with COMCAST. TO COMCAST ... WAKE UP. Educate your on-shore call center workers. It may take a few years to upgrade the skills of the existing on-shore, American workers but it is the best investment in the long run. Running off-shore, and not training your on-shore workers is very short-sighted. The American, Tier 1 support person i spoke to initially had NO idea how she would be able to move into a more technical call center technician role. COMCAST Educate your American workforce!!!! "Cowboy Up", and get your American Call Center staff the skills that will make them more valuable to you and to your COMCAST Internet customers who are forced to use your Internet service. read more

I have my cable through Comcast and my bill is $60 a month. I recently moved and noticed an additional charge on my bill for $50. Initially I went in to get an explanation of my bill and the customer service who helped me at the counter (blonde, late 30's, heavy set) man was rude from the very beginning. I asked him to explain the charges. Either he wasn't explaining it to me in a way that made sense or I just wasn't understanding...regardless he should not have treated me poorly. I left upset, sat in the parking lot and scheduled NEW SERVICE WITH CENTURY LINK. I will NOT pay a company that speaks to me the way they did. read more

We have been in our rental a month and every other day mid afternoon the internet slows to useless. There are no problems with the equipment and other members in the community have the same problem. Worst service!!! Wish I could give no stars. We have the cable/internet/home security bundle. I am CONSTANTLY having to reset my modem and cable boxes. (probably every other day) There are so many times I just can't watch tv because even after resetting I get the purple or red screen. So aggravating. The gamers in our home cannot play a single online game without constant lag. (even on games on our phones) The "home security" is a joke! Two sensors and a touch screen to control them. I get non stop emails telling me to reconnect the touch screen because the internet goes out ALL the time. We just leave it unplugged now and told them to stop texting and emailing about reconnecting it. So with all these terrible issues if you want to cancel they will charge you over $1000. because of the "home security" contract. Mine is almost up and I cannot wait to be done with Comcast! read more

Horrible. We took the bundle for phone, computer and TV. The phone service is very bad,and forget calling 411. They never have the number, even though I know it is listed. I have had other cable services in other parts of the country, and never had such poor service as I have had with Comcast. read more

Terrible. We called to get a bundle for internet, with HBO, free DVR for 1 year, and extra channels to include PAC-12. However the installer came and stated we would have to pay $10/hr for DVR and had never heard of free DVR being offered. Both on the phone and in person we wanted to speak to management, who was never made available to speak to us....hm. And in the end, we wasted 6 hours of our time with the installer (who is a disgruntled employee) and ended up not going with xfinity. Poor communication between sales and customer service/installation. Now we have no Internet and no tv. Back to Direct TV it is! read more

Xfinity/comcast has the most horrible cust svc reps ever, there is no sense of urgency. Three stars only because the cost of our internet, cable and security hit $235/month which seems excessive. I work from home and always found their internet service fast and strong. We had three TVs on their wireless boxes and had good connections on all but one. We had a great experience with their service center on Contara. All-in-all we had a great experience with Comcast Xfinity but just don't see the value at $235/month. read more

Comcast is merely a liar. I have been using Cox internet service for 3 years without any problem. Recently we moved into our new house. It's in an area not covered by Cox, so I decided to convert to Comcast. I ordered their Internet Service together with a self-installation kit ($9.95 for 2 coxial cables and a splitter, Errrr!!!) one week in advance and even with a DOCSIS 3.0 modem (Cisco DPC3010). On the day we moved in, I worked nearly 3 hours to activate my internet service, in vain. Then I called Comcast technical support and I was told my modem was DOCSIS 2.0 and Comcast only supports DOCSIS 3.0. I checked the specs later and found mine is absolutely a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. Then I contacted their customer service again by chatting on line. A Lilyme told me mine is a DOCSIS 3.0 but not listed in their approved list, so it is not supported by Comcast. But Lilyme also told me at the same time they are contacting Cisco to register the device to Comcast. When I asked how long time I need to wait, I was told that they will contact me within 24 hours and I only need make a call to Cisco to finalize my request. Sounds great, right? But no service, no contacts, whatsoever!! This Lilyme also told me my issues had been noted on my account and therefore I don't need to repeat my story and request again if I contact Comcast later. One day later, I contacted Comcast again. It was a Christine this time. You guess right. I had to repeat my story and my request again. And I got the same answer again. I was told again my issue had been noted and I did not need to repeat myself in future. Laugh!! I waited for another 24 hours. Still no service, no call. I was doubt and doubt on them, so I googled " why DPC3010 is not supported by Comcast" and I was directed to Comcast forum. This question had been raised in the forum three years ago and Comcast engineer clearly indicated there would be no config file for this DPC3010 and this device would not be supported by Comcast. My frustration went to anger. I had been waiting for something that would never happen. I was lied by three representatives from Comcast. I had been provided the same solution and the same excuses. I highly suspect that all the representatives have been trained to treat customer and solve their problems in this way systematically. Just let customers to wait for something that will never happen. I chatted with another Carlo. Not unexpected, it took me 10 minutes to explain my situation again for the fourth time. I indicated that this problem has been there for three years and I wanted to know the truth if Comcast can solve the problem or not. Until then, Carlo confessed that Comcast is unable to solve it. The best way is to purchase a Comcast compatible device. I had been waiting for four days to know that my modem will never work. If they had told me the truth, I would have bought another one rather than waiting. But they chose to lie. What can I trust them? I have canceled my Comcast service. Bye-bye, liars. How amazing they are to use only four days to put out all my enthusiasm on them. If you want a nightmare, welcome to Comcast. Otherwise, KEEP AWAY from it, AS FAR AS POSSIBLE. read more

Comcast has the worst service. I called tech support, they said I had wrong box. Waited 8 days Nothing called again, finally after 16 days I got wrong one. Also two modems and three more boxes. After 42 calls 2 hang ups from supervisors. I gave up. ALSO the problem blew out power supply on my new TV. Paid 152 to fix. I sent all boxes back and give up. Company run by gremlins. read more

I used them for my business phone service and internet service. Today, they only provide me with my internet and I wish there was a replacement in our area. They don't care about their customers. I can't imagine anyone giving them a high rating. They always raise their prices, their services are horrible, and you can clearly tell that their employees are unhappy to be working there. I feel like I'm dealing with a poorly run government organization whenever I have to deal with Comcast. If you have the option, don't use them. read more

Despite the reviews, I like Comcast. I just recently signed up for cable and Internet. The lady who helped my boyfriend and I was so kind and got us all set up with the best prices they were offering! I hate Comcast but it's the only game in town for cable TV on my side of town. I've been trying to downgrade my service. I only have my HDTV with them. I refuse to sign up for their internet or phone service. I've tried to get a line-up of channels on the extended basic service but I have to CALL the Phillipines to talk to someone about it. I did it once before and all I got was the run around. Once they were going to zap my cable box for me and it took all night and they STILL didn't fix the problem of the "No Signal" coming up. Luckily I figured out how to get around that problem so I could watch TV. If I could get another cable company, I would. I've been here long enough to remember when there was only one phone number and you talked to the local service. Of course they couldn't fix the problem thru the airwaves but sometimes having a service guy/gal come to you house is much better. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. We have been having issues with our internet going in and out all the time. Mind you we pay for the most expensive internet plan to avoid things like this. After being on the phone for about an hour (also being hung up on during that call) I finally got to a rep. She told me that the reason for my internet going out was our router and we would either need to pay them MORE money to get our internet working how it actually should be, or lower our plan to "fit" the Internet speed to router combo. Of course I went the cheaper way, because either way this should have fixed the problem right? WRONG! Our internet is still doing the same stuff, not working. On top of that, I got my bill and guess who's bill is MORE EXPENSIVE than it was before all of this happened...Mine. So now I get to fight with the automated answering service, because they try to make it so that you can't actually speak to someone to actually fix the problem. This company doesn't give a shit about their customers, all they care about is the fact that there's really no option for us to go anywhere else, so why actually have a good product right? read more

Awesome service!! Let's get one thing straight. I've lived in a LOT of state and have had many different companies for internet and I have to say I love Comcast. I actually get excited as a gamer to see I have that option every-time I move. There service is fast. Also it's not call "computer" it's called internet and if your complaining your computer is slow (I don't care how new it is) it's most likely not the service, it's the poo of a computer your working with cause my $3000 computer and $600 laptop have no problem. Also you normally have a 2 year contract. (You know this signing up for service.) Don't be upset that your price goes up because your slow self forgot to call and renew for a better price. That's no ones fault but your own. Over all it's a awesome services for those that actually know what's going on. read more

Terrible company. Comcast is the only company offering cable in our area and so clearly they don't think they need to provide decent service. They've got their customers by the short hairs. Just wish I'd read the reviews here before trying them. I decided to try them since my DISH service isn't very good and my CenturyLink service is slow and subject to problems. The phone lines need to be replaced and they've said it's not worth the cost for them to do it, since it would have to be the whole area. I frequently have to unplug my modem and plug it back in again to get it to operate properly. My brother suggested I try cable, so I contacted Comcast/Xfinity. At first it seemed great. Comcast was able to cover my T.V. internet, land line, and security system service for a little less than I was paying for several other companies. We arranged to have my land line number ported to the new service so I didn't have to change my number, and scheduled a time for them to come out about a week later to hook it all up. On that day, they came out promptly. The service guys were courteous and well informed. However, they discovered that the cable out to the street was defective and needed to be replaced, and so the process would be delayed until they could do that. They rescheduled the installation about 2 weeks later. Someone came out and marked the lines with blue lines and arrows, so it looked like putting in the cable was going forward. Then a few days later on a Saturday, suddenly my internet and phone lines went out completely. Called Comcast and after waiting for an operator about 25 minutes found out it was because the order to have my number ported over didn't get changed when the installation was delayed. They said they couldn't fix it any sooner than the scheduled date to come out, which would make me without internet and phone for about a week and a half. I said this was unacceptable for multiple reasons, including a home business. Could they transfer the number back to CenturyLink in the meantime. No, that would take 7-10 days to do. The person I talked to was very unhelpful. So, I called CenturyLink and on a Saturday got a technician who actually knew what he was doing. Even though he understood that I was trying to switch my service, he called Comcast, added me to the line, and again after waiting a loooong time on hold, we got a Comcast service technician. The CenturyLink guy was able to use the right terminology and tell them how to port back my number. So, that day I got phones & internet back and was awaiting the cable installation and then hooking everything up. About 10 days later Comcast was scheduled to hook up my service. I hadn't noticed any activity related to putting in the cable. No one showed up, no evidence of a trench or anything. The day came and went and nothing. I called the next day. After another long wait got someone again -- and btw, it seems like the service calls go to some call center, who knows where it is -- the woman checked the record and said that the cable had been installed. I said, no it hasn't. No evidence of it whatsoever. Again, after numerous back and forth and several calls with different people, no one was able to tell me what was going on. Plus, they were saying I'd have to be without internet/phone service for an indeterminate period because of porting the number back. I finally said, you know what, if this is any evidence of your service, I'm not impressed and have no assurance that it will be any better in the future. So, guess what, I'm cancelling the entire package -- everything. I asked the operator to send me an email saying that it was cancelled because given their level of incompetence, I was afraid I'd get a bill. She said that the email showing the cancellation would be in my inbox in the next 10 minutes. They never sent it. And you know, no one has called to follow up, find out why a new customer who was getting the full range of their services cancelled, and try to make it better for me. If they had, I might have reconsidered. But nothing. Obviously, they don't care about their customers. Terrible service and just hours of my life on the phone that I'll never get back. A real shame too because I think cable would be the answer for the issues I'm having with my other services. The company that emerged as the hero in all this? CenturyLink. So, I'm keeping them, even with all the phone line problems. read more

To start this review off about this disgusting company, lets begin with my personal needs of WiFi, and connections. I make the majority of my money through streaming video games, with that being said I need a ping of 30 or less, preferably below 15 (but below 30 will do) Ping is the amount of time, in milliseconds its takes for your WiFi, and keyboard or mouse to send a signal to the server your playing on, the higher the ping the worse. Our WiFi at my house has been cutting out about every 2 weeks or so for the past couple months, with no luck from Comcast to fix, I've gotten used to that. Yesterday they came to our house to "fix" things. They blamed the issues on electric wires and issues with that in our physical house, gave us the new router and went their ways. They said the connection would be faster, and that it shouldn't cut out anymore. Since yesterday, my WiFi has cut out 7 times, 1 of which I was participating in a massive Fortnite tournament where money was on the line, and I was doing very well, until Comcast's shitty service screwed me over. Also, since the new and "better" router they installed, my ping has skyrocketed from 28, to over 60 consistently. I hope I can convince the rest of my household to agree with me, and find a new internet provider because I feel completely cheated and screwed by this horrible company. Also, to end, never have I ever been offered better service, or an alternative internet service through Comcast, the same dull and never ending "fix" always happens over and over. They come to my home, mess with my wires, act like its perfect, and its usually worse. read more

Wake up Comcast and treat your customers right. Tired of dealing with India, Phillipines. When those techs can't fix what you need fixing you suddenly lose the connection. If it is too difficult they choose not to bother. If you are lucky enough to get someone from the US you might get help. Notice I said "MIGHT". For the last 2 weeks we have been having phone problems. Either no dial tone, or sometimes if we get a dial tone we can call out but no one can call us. Does that make any sense to you. They said sending a tech would not help so they say they can reset stuff on their end. Surprise, surprise it just doesn't work. This is what you get when you bundle. We get internet, phone and TV with them and pay a lot of money monthly . We are flipping disgusted with them. We've been a customer for close to 20 years. You used to be able to call and within a few minutes you could get someone that knew what to do. Now, you wait 15 minutes or more to get robotics until you finally can vent with a human being. It's only going to get worse. They need to train their techs overseas if they have to resort to saving money by using out of the country for servicing their US customers. Instead of getting better over the years they are going in to opposite direction. People are getting fed up. I feel like I am in the dark ages especially when your basic phone service is compromised. read more

I have tried contacting Comcast a couple of times in the past two days and have been on hold for over 24 minutes on each call without talking to anyone! This is the worst customer service. When we ordered our cable TV and internet, Xfinity asked us to try their security service, for a month if we didn't like it, no problem. They wouldn't change us for any of it. Xfinity would take it off the bill. we canceled within the trial period. They failed to remove charges from bill, now going on four months. Over $700 with late fees. They keep promising to fix the problem. They said in the 2nd month, it's off the bill, Installation charges over $400 remained on the bill, 3rd month, Sorry someone added them back on, for sure this time they'll be off. 4th month $930 dollar bill, sorry our system hasn't caught up with our updates, they be complete June 28th. Today we get threatening email saying Xfinity is going to turn off our cable TV service and reduce our internet to their $14 slow service because of our outstanding bill. My wife making our 4th trip to the Cotaro rd. Service Center to resolve this "NO PROBLEM, try our security service". There is NO way to contact this company in person other the 20 mile trip across town. That's $80 in car expenses that we will never recover. We didn't want the security service because the outside camera 30 ft' atop the garage was installed Upside down, when I ask the tech to fix it. Just as I thought. Their "service" leaves a lot to be desired. I check online since I finally have internet, and low an' behold I have a bill of over $200.00 after I paid them their $100.00 deposit. I guess I will just pay it instead of arguing with their billing department and being told that the $100.00 doesn't in any way apply to their billing. I am now locked in a contract I have no interest of being in. I guess we all live and learn. When I do call, they ask me if I am interested in cable TV. Umm no I am not interested in any more of their "services" or lack thereof. They respond by telling me that the deposit for cable TV is only $50.00 and that this $50.00 can be waived. They even send me a faux Visa card for $250.00 in the mail offering Latino cable services if I order Latino cable television services. I don't speak Spanish very well if at all... I am so fed up with COMCAST, their technical service is just terrible. Several times over the months and years I have been with them I have lost connections, with or without notice of what was going on. Many times the tech. support person that is suppose to help me has such a strong accent that I can barely understand them and have to ask over and over again for them to repeat what they are trying to communicate. Additionally these tech.'s usually "talk over" you and are very VERY poor listeners!! My latest disaster occurred early this am (4th July 2019) all of a sudden I get a message "NO CABLE CONNECTION" so once again I call the damm 800 # and spend a good, or actually BAD TWO HOURS on the phone with the tech. only good thing is he tried to be polite, yet spent lots of time going over basic things that could have NOTHING to do with my actual PROBLEM. He kept having me plug and unplug, turn on and turn off various power buttons, then finally asked me if I had a HMI cable in the house, I did and he asked me to use it as an alternate pathway to get my cable TV reception and that worked. He then told me he had FIXED the problem and was thanking me for my business, trying to get off the phone. I told him THIS WAS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SOLUTION & I WANTED MY TV WORKING THE WAY I CHOOSE TO HOOK IT UP AND WORK CONNECTED THAT WAY FOR 2 YEARS! I THEN TOLD HIM TO SEND A TECH TO MY HOUSE MONDAY AS IT WAS CLEAR HE (THE ON-LINE TECH) COULD NOT MAKE IT WORK THE WAY I WANTED IT TO WORK THE WAY IT WORK WELL (CONNECTION WISE) FOR 2 YEARS. HE SAID HE WOULD SEND A TECH ABD IT WOULD COST ME $79.00! i REFUSED AND WILL GO TO THE PHYSICAL OFFICE TO PRESENT MY COMPLAINT IN PERSON THEN FILE FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! THEN FIND OTHER WAYS TO PUT OUT HOW BAD THIS COMPANY IS OVERALL! I WILL FIND A NEW PROVIDER ANYONE HAS GOT TO BE BETTER! SO SHOCKING THEY STAY IN BUSINESS, AND THEIR PRICES ARE HIGH!
