Spent an hour on the Phone to set up an appointment for New installation. Told me Friday between 5-7pm. Of course no one showed up.. Spent 4 hrs on the phone today to figure out why? They sent me person to person then to a sales person where i guess there kid picked up the Phone, all I could hear were kids in the back ground, listened for about 5min. still only kids on the phone. I guess it's some dumb A$$ working from home that is obviously not working? You can't call anyone Direct so do not waste your time getting this service once you do your F*****. I had a simple request to add HBO to my service. Went to the website to add the service, but it told me to call the customer service number which sent me a link. The link could not add HBO and suggested I call customer service. Customer service told me to use the website, but the website said there was a problem and to call customer service. I felt as if I was trapped in the novel Catch 22. Eventually, I quit trying. Shocked at how difficult a company would make spending money with them. read more

Unlike many commenters, I find Xfinity products and support to be excellent. My system was hit by lightning and the Set Top Box-along with router, modem and TV-were zapped. Stopped by Xfinity Service Center in Manassas VA--was in and out with replacement X1 box in less than five minutes. Have always had excellent experience at this location. Knowledgeable and polite employees. Yes, Cable TV and Internet is not cheap. But I have found the Xfinity value provided to well justify the expense. Highly recommend this Service Center. read more

Tom Karinshak at Comcast Corporate you need to be aware of what passes for customer service at this location. Service is sporadic at best and lately with a storm that's coming through it seems to be the excuse that is resoundingly continuing to make Service- worse than usual. I was told by a supervisor named Brian today that they are aware that my service has been sporadic and then on their end it showing that I have been totally out for six + days and then at some point I will get $8.12 per day as a credit but they can't tell me when that will be because they can't tell me what the cause of the outage is or when it will be repaired and they will not issue a credit until they are certain it has been repaired because they won't issue multiple credits for the same problem. I've been told that the supervisor has no way of communicating with people in the field because they use tickets with people in the field so they have absolutely no way to find out what the nature of the issue is or why it's taking so long to fix it and that we as the customer have no right to know that but basically have to sit back and hope that our service becomes acceptable someday and whenever that day is that each day up to that day we will be credited $8.12 per day assuming their system actually really shows that we're experiencing outages. The automated service keeps telling me my system is back up and yet it's not Internet and television are up and down and up and down and I don't have to tell you how important the Internet is during the Covid times and needing to work from home. I'm told by the supervisor to disregard the automated response that says that my service is working normally because their system actually knows that I am experiencing an outage my question is if the system knows I'm experiencing an outage why am I getting an automated call saying my service is working I have spent literally hours on the phone with representatives and I am told " due to unforeseen circumstances your service is out and we are diligently working to restore your service" we have no idea what the problem is or when it will be fixed. This is unacceptable. I have multiple cable boxes and cable cards as well as Internet and pay a significant amount I also have multiple accounts because I have investment property. I am also a realtor who has a lot of clients who use Comcast so my suggestion is perhaps you pay attention to my account. We won't even talk about mistakes that have been made in the past on my account such as when you were supposed to bury my cable lines actually what they did was over cover them with leaves and leave them laying above the ground or drill holes into my air conditioning duct and run the wires through. So Comcast Corporate please give me a call because I'm getting nowhere with these people locally they are giving me generic circular spin which can't even qualify as lip service.They should be ashamed. So I get a call 13 days after our last bill is due (never received a bill) from a third party collections agency for around 50 bucks after closing our acct with comcast. Paid the balance w them, called comcast, got the runaround from one specific person (the two I spoke to prior, both in billing and collections were nice but did not provide an explanation). I had asked this third individual I spoke with if I could speak w a supervisor and explained briefly what happened. She would not let me speak to a supervisor, gave me all kinds of grief, attitude, and was unbelievably rude. She told me as soon as you close you acct w comcast, the remaining bill goes to an in-house collections agency and that they can contact you to collect a debt at any point after that. Kept interrupting me constantly and was very snide. She finally told me a supervisor would call me. Never did. NEVER will I use Comcast's services again. Never going to happen. Apparently, according to two people I spoke with, the remaining bill gets automatically set to collections (even though they won't tell you what you owe at the point of acct closing, because they don't have the total.) I handed in my equipment a few days after closing the acct. They STILL couldn't tell me, at the comcast office, the exact amount I owed. Did not get a last bill at all. Had forwarded my mail, effective a couple wks before closing my account. But I should not have gotten a collection agency calling me 13 days after closing the account, threatening to report me to the credit bureaus for owing $50 to my cable co. Unacceptable and potentially could screw up people's credit without them even knowing. Thanks for the dose of a huge heap of bullcrap, Comcast, and for doing absolutely nothing about it. This kind of computer arrangement you have with sending any closed account immediately to collections (and refusing at account close and at the office to give customers their balance so they can pay it) is completely unacceptable and, frankly, I don't believe is even legal, being that is was in under 30 days, and even in under 2 weeks. read more

If you're looking for top notch customer service and friendly individuals, go to the local prison and speak with inmates...you'll have better chances. Comcast not only overcharges you, but these chowderheads don't understand how to retain customers, which starts with your customer service centers. Frankie (or whatever his name was) looked like someone just stole his lunch money and waved a vending machine snack in front of him that was meant to be his and got stuck. When i first opened the account with xfinity, everything was working just fine. I was paying $130 a month for 2 boxes. Of course it was only a promo price for a year and then they raise the price to $160 a month and the other promos only lasted a month instead of a year. Then they decided to raise it up again to $190 a month. So i decided to close the account. A month and half later they called me saying that i needed to pay $57 because i cancelled when the bill came up and needed to pay the days that i was connected before cancellation. This is ridiculous! My bills were always a surprise. Billing was my main issue but i had other problems such as channels disappearing and all of the sudden i have starz channel, and lots of freezing. If u want to keep the customers then keep your prices the same! read more
