I wrote at 1am last night, urgently needing to get treatment for several family members before a houseful of guests arrived. I requested a 10-12 am visit in the automated system that indicated that that slot was available. I provided all my information and would have had a hefty cancellation fee if I cancelled. I didn't hear from anyone until 11am when I got a text from a technician indicating that they couldn't come until 5:30pm. I debated whether to go elsewhere or wait. I decided to wait while initiating all the laundry and hair cleaning I could on my own. Just before that the visit time I get a text from the technician stating they had to reschedule! What kind of 24 hour urgent service is this? I wasted the whole day when I could have taken my kids elsewhere! A joke. Couldn't even get on the phone with a human. Speechless! Shannon is an angel! I called her at 11:00 last night, and she came at 11:00 this morning. I have a very serious fear of lice. I know it's irrational, but I've always had it. She really helped put my mind at ease (the best my mind will allow). She was here for 4 hours, and checked all 4 of us. My daughter had it, and her thorough checking and treatment was above and beyond! I really learned so much from her. Run as fast as you can from this service. Both my daughters had lice, and I called them in a pinch. The technician told my daughter she was "raped by a ghost," and showed my daughter bruises. She talked about her ex-husband and shared all kinds of inappropriate personal information. Also, the service she provided didn't work, and my daughter was forced to go home from school the next day, which caused me to leave work. I called another provider, and she couldn't believe there were still bugs and nits in my daughters' hair. SO, the service didn't even work! I sent pictures of how much the second provider pulled out of my daughters' hair, and they claimed I hurried the provider (not true). They also denied the provider said this craziness instead of taking it seriously, so there is rigidity and absolutely no customer service. There are also hidden fees and costs, and they were four hours later than the time they originally quoted. This business should be investigated. I don't usually write reviews (in fact, never), but I had to for this one. read more

Things you probably want to know before booking an appointment: -They will put a $490 hold on your card. In my case, the additional money was not refunded until over a month later. -Do not act on good faith by trusting that the technician will log the true time the procedure takes. If they aren't honest (like in my case), the "investigation" will be extremely prolonged even if you provide proof of the misconduct. -They will charge the additional $77 right when the procedure goes over an hour (and again after every 30 minutes), even if it's only an additional 5 minutes. There isn't a pro-rated additional fee, on a service that is very easy to prolong just enough to charge the extra money. -Make sure you add the travel fee (starting at $50) to the price you are quoted. read more

I was charged hundreds more than expected 2 weeks after treatment. org only responded to me when I disputed charge with credit card, saying I didnt read the small fine print about having to pay for the person's travel and having to pay for the products I thought were included. No one ever said - hey these are super expensive, do you want to buy them? They were just handed to me. They still refuse to give me an itemized bill. Do not use this company. read more

I used Comb and Cure services early Dec to check my kids for lice. Technician was great, no lice, everything went smoothly. They charged me the day of for $205. No Problem . . . and then over 3 weeks later, they charge my CC for a second time for $103. No notice, no heads up, no reason why. I called to talk to billing and they never get back to me. Charging an additional charge 3 weeks later for no reason and no explanation is stealing. I've contacted BBB and my credit card company. read more

Our family discovered lice 24 hours prior to our flight, 2 of our girls had nits, our boys would not let us check them and we had 6 people to pack before our flight. When Lily from Comb & Cure arrived at 7pm in the evening we were both grateful and in awe: their dispatcher arranged for our appointment with only a few hours notice.
