If they are they are doing a good job letting people win most of the time. I think there were a few machines at time I had to try 8 times and gave up because I couldn't pick up the plushie. But usually one token I get one plushie. This place is absolutely addictive but I like it over other places because you can upgrade your plushies for bigger ones at the front desk. It's such a nice treat because if we have a bunch of little ones we don't want, and a big one we do like better, it's worth it. I leave with at least one big plushie that I exchange for 8 medium plushies, and a few more medium plushies. Total I take home each trip 1 big plushie, and 3-6 medium to little plushies. Other claw machine places I feel cheated because you either have to put a bunch of coins in to play once, or the plushies aren't easy to grab. This place is not only affordable, but you put one coin for each machine for one play. It's really fair and wants you to win. There are so many parts to choose from, and the gentleman who helped me gave me a lot of input from the way the parts sounded and operated. There's so much to choose from. I ended up spending over $120 in parts to replace the shaft, ball, joystick, and all the buttons on the top of the board. I bought a used stick from OfferUp, and a few of the buttons and joystick had issues with inputs. I chose buttons that are adjustable, silent, and bought a new joystick to solve an input sometimes not registering. I'd definitely consider going again when I'm in town! Cheers, and happy gaming!

I picked up a dozen on sanwas buttons, and was able to install it last night with some sandpaper I found in my garage to bore the holes wider and forcing the buttons in (vs using some drills, SupraWhite recommended this, smart). And this takes the cake as my all time favorite. The courses have great holes, with a large variety of simple classic style holes. But the place really shines in decor and atmosphere. It really leans into a more vintage vibe, considering this place is nearly 60 years old the grounds are immaculate, which is unheard of anywhere near LA. Amazing buildings and hedge arches dot the real turfed landscape. Vintage music plays out of old megaphones. Did I mention the place is massive? The parking lot holds maybe 400 cars, but expect it to be nearly full. It has vintage bumper boats, an arcade and 4 18 hole courses. Pricing is fair, 16.50 a person, and parking prices can vary but are usually free. Whoever maintains the grounds needs a serious raise, everything here is just perfect! COME AT NIGHT. This place really shines at night, when everything is lit up it is truly magical. One of the best in the nation, don't miss.

I really wanted to score a 4.5, but gave it the full five because the mini-golf courses were so well-maintained. As for selection, they have made some changes to the store to include more merchandise and less claw games. The merchandise is great, and there are still enough claw games to play. I decided to purchase it and when I got home and opened it the packed were visibly tampered with. A few packs had a thin silver line showing at the top and some had minor air pockets compared to major store bought packs. Not only that but each pack opened THE EXACT SAME WAY - easily pealed perfectly from the top and down the back middle seal. I paid $180 PLUS TAX so to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I can't speak for their single packs but after this experience with the etb I'm never purchasing from here again. So make sure you have cash for tickets. We came to see Mortal Kombat II. Which was amazing. I never saw the first movie. But you don't have to have seen the first to follow this movie. One reason I wanted to see this movie is Mortal Kombat II is my favorite video game (SNES) version of the MK video games. The best place to see an action movie is on the massive drive-in theater movie screen. Not Imax, etc. So we went here. Another great thing about drive in theaters is you can bring your own food and you can have privacy with your date inside your vehicle, if you know what I mean . Just have privacy glass. Because a family of kids can be parked next to your vehicle. If you want, you can bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle and watch. Which is also a great choice. Especially if you have kids. They will love sitting outside. If you do sit outside, bring a coat, blanket, etc. It gets cold at night. The concession is cheap af and not like walk in movie theater prices. For example, their large popcorn is huge. Yet its only $10 with taxes. We got ours with extra butter. They offer a lot of other good stuff too at great prices. But we only wanted warm popcorn with extra butter. I saw some raggedy ATM machines in there. Not sure if concession got them there so you can use cash to buy food. But I didn't ask as I already had some cash on me to buy popcorn. So make sure you bring cash for concession as well. Make sure you vehicle radio can tune to 90.1 FM and you can leave it on without it draining your battery and without parking/headlights being activated. It drives us movie goers crazy when some foolish person will turn on their headlights while everyone else is trying to enjoy the film. Also, if you need a radio for showing, you can buy one from them for $20 at concession. Great experience here. I love this place. Like I said, I havent been here in like 6 years. Last time I was here, one ticket paid for double feature. Which was a steal. Because after Mortal Kombat II, I was looking forward to seeing Michael again. Which we already saw at a walk in theater. But we were ready to see it again on the biggest screen ever. They dont do double features anymore. So if the website shows two movies, dont misread like I did. It clearly says: "TICKETS ARE FOR A SINGLE SHOW TIME ONLY." I was wondering why everyone was leaving after Mortal Kombat II was over . We stayed in vehicle until security drove by and told us they only do single features. We weren't the only ones he had to tell. Great experience here.
