To pass inspection we ended up hiring another local electrician to repair the mistakes and poor workmanship left by Bill Hill Electrical. If we could give a "0" star review we would, we would not recommend Big Hill Electrical to anyone.

Exceptional Emergency Hot Water Tank Replacement Service - Pete the Plumber…read moreDudes - Jim and Sam F I wanted to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service I received during my hot water tank replacement Aug 5. I came home to find a tank that was not happy, this was clear as the water was running from my trusted tank. This was a 1st for me as a homeowner. I called Pete the Plumber! First, my warranty was honored exactly as promised. I had purchased the 10-year protection plan, and there were no issues whatsoever. The technician confirmed the warranty coverage, and there were no unexpected costs for the replacement tank itself. Given that the failure occurred outside of normal business hours, I was especially grateful that emergency service was available. The experience started with a call to the 24-hour support line, where I spoke with Jim. He was professional, efficient, and took all the necessary details of the situation. After sending the requested information, I was contacted within approximately 15 minutes by Sam F., the technician assigned to the call. Sam provided exceptional service from start to finish: Called promptly and provided an estimated arrival time. Confirmed warranty coverage and any applicable fees upfront. Reviewed the photos I had shared and, through his experience, immediately understood what was required. Called again when he was approximately 20 minutes away with the replacement tank. Arrived prepared and ready to get the job done. Sam executed his work and shared all the details with me as he worked. Sam provided some valuable advice and was able to talk basic language to help me understand the processes and how the system works. He shared insight and valued experience to help me make the choices best for my home. What impressed me most was Sam's knowledge, communication, and professionalism. He clearly knew exactly what was needed before arriving, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. When you're dealing with a hot water tank failure after hours, that level of confidence and responsiveness makes a huge difference. Thank you to Jim, Sam F., and the entire team for providing fast, professional, and customer-focused service. It's refreshing to see a company stand behind its warranty and deliver such exceptional emergency support when it matters most.‌ Client and Strong Supporter‌ Rob

Horrible service and extremely high price for a so called boiler technician to diagnose a boiler…read morethat wasn't working. He arrived with only a small screwdriver to repair my boiler. I asked him to get his tools he said no, he didn't need them. Subsequently he had to make many trips out to his van to get his tools and spend the majority of the time on the phone with his boss, guide him through the procedure. The technician had no idea how to fix a boiler and should never had been sent out to fix one . Very unprofessional and extremely expensive. Save your money and get some other company. 2 1/2h later and that boiler was still not working 490$ bill for nothing.

I am 73 year old handicapped widow. My furnace stopped working when it was -20C outside the day…read morebefore a man was found dead in his furnace room in NE Calgary. I couldn't get any advertised 24/7 emergency repair outfits to answer their phone. It was 1AM and the fire department dismissed my vulnerability telling me to call a plumber when no emergency plumbers were answering their phones. When I finally got a plumber who had worked for me before he came out to try to convince me that I needed a new furnace. He said he would come by in a day or two to fix the limit switch that needed replacing. Left alone in the house without a working furnace, I thought I better get a second opinion. Bowness Plumbing and Heating was recommended as an independent old school company that did good work st reasonable prices. I called Mitch Hurd around 3:30 AM and was surprised he answered the phone himself. I asked him to come to diagnose the problem so that I could submit a request for financial assistance to fix the furnace from Alberta government Senior's Assistance program. What I was really after was a second opinion on the face of the cost of a new furnace. My furnace was mid efficiency only about ten years old. He agreed to come to provide a diagnosis for $350. I felt that would be money well spent in the face of the costs of s new furnace. He came within 40 minutes. I was on the other side of the furnace anxiously telling him to hurry up to not go over the half an hour for $350. He was a pleasant person to chat with. When he was finished I gladly paid $350 in view of the costs of a whole furnace replacement. You probably won't believe what happened next. Mitch Hurd is a man you just can't help but love. I know I do. As he was going out the door he said, "Ella. I already fixed it. I was here anyway. Your furnace is not a dud. A limit switch replacement is common. Don't worry about it now. Your furnace is fixed". VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I will never use another plumber in the years I have left in this life. Calgary, we are very lucky to have him. His company doesn't show up at the top of online searches. Just try to remember Bowness Plumbing and Heating.

The majority of the work was completed satisfactorily apart from three motion sensor lights that didn't work properly. We contacted Gravity and was assured they'd be fixed under warranty; however, when the installer came back, we were charged $150.00 for a troubleshooting call, even though he couldn't fix the lights. One light we had to replace ourselves, another required ladder work to adjust, the third was removed. We spoke at length with someone in the office, and even had an email conversation with the owner.
