This place has the worst customer service I've ever seen last week my boyfriend walked in and asked for a manicure and I guess they were extremely rude to him he said. Well today I walked in to get a manicure and the lady said can I help you and I said yes I'd like to get a manicure and she said no we cannot give you a manicure and I said OK can you give me a manicure ever in life like can I make an appointment? And the man that was there said no we do not have appointments today and I said OK then can I make an appointment for another day and they just looked at me so I turned around and walked out I thought it was completely rude no customer service whatsoever I will never go back there I do not know how they could be so rude we live in a small town and word travels fast I do not recommend them just because of their customer service!! I took my 9 year old daughter here a week or so back. She really wanted to get fake nails put on. The tech was very nice and explained how getting fake nails done at a young age isn't a very good idea. Kids will play and such, thus making it easier to damage your real nails when the fake ones get ripped off. I completly agreed, with him. So we decided to get the gel nail polish. It holds up a lot better then regular nail polish. My daughter loved them. The tech was very nice and competent. He made sure to talk to her like a normal person (not like a baby like some people will do that don't have much experience with kids). The nail salon was very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone with young children or really anyone who is looking to get nail's done. read more

Today was my first visit to Colusa Nails. I went there because of a recommendation from a friend. She said, " Go to the nail shop near the DMV, Andy does a super job"! So, that's where I headed. I called and made an appointment yesterday. Andy speaks very clear English, unlike most other salon workers. I have been having my acrylic nails done for many years and I do have a favorite shop in Vacaville. However, although the shop in Vacaville is quite a bit more " upscale", Andy really did a better job than almost all other cosmetologists I have tried. I have probably tried dozens, here and there in those many years. Today was apparently unusual, I was the only customer, he says they are normally very busy, and making an appointment early is highly recommended, especially around holidays. I walked into Tran Nails without an appointment, unaware that they are now by appointment only. There were two customers being helped by two nail techs and no one waiting in line to be seen. One of the nail techs asked how she could help me to which I responded that I wanted my gel nail polish replaced. She asked if I had an appointment and when I said no, she said very matter of factly, "we don't have any time for you tonight!" I understand it is now by appointment only and that was my mistake for not knowing that. I was unaware that their clientele is of such high caliber that they are now too prestigious to accept walk-ins. However the manner in which she turned me away was humiliating. I will not be going back, I will not be spending my money locally and I will gladly go to a bigger city for all of my nail care needs. read more
