I called last Thursday or Friday and said I need someone that can do a mullet and they said what day would I like to come in and I said I'm in no hurry. I've been letting my head grow out for months. I will wait for the best person when that is they said they can see me Monday morning so I went in this morning and talked to the lady cutting my hair and asked if she knew how to feather she said yes I said good. I want my hair feathered and I want to be able to comment back that's why I hadn't had my haircut in months, I said do not go short on the sides. It will stick up so she proceeded cutting and then I started getting nervous. He said what's wrong. I said it looks like you're going to short and she said she knows what she's doing. When she was done, I pointed out the fact that there was no hair left on the side for me to feather back. she said she didn't want to deal with me if I didn't like it just leave. I got up and left. I went back to speak to the manager and she met me outside. I told her she did not give me the haircut I asked for and she said she had and that she had recorded us the whole time that she was cutting my hair. I thought we were going in the salon to look at that when she slammed the door in my face and locked it in my truck and started posting on Facebook. Next thing I know the police were knocking on my window. I rolled down my window and asked what was going on. They said the lady called because she was scared. She pulled a total drama queen Karen on me I just wanted to speak to the manager and then they blocked me on Facebook that's why their Facebook reviews are good because they block all the bad reviews!!! read more

I haven't had my hair colored by Kristi, which is her specialty, only because I'm letting my wisdom show! What I can speak about is her hair cutting and eyelash extension skills. I spent most of my life hating my fine, thin, short hair; but I've had a few hair dressers that work with what little I have so well that I actually like my hair. Kristi is at the top of the list! Kristi is the most amazing color expert. She did exactly what I had envisioned and sent her pictures of. My hair was brassy and over do for damage control. Kristi transformed my hair into a beautiful blend of my natural color and some light natural ash blonde. We had discussed my concerns with bleaching my hair and she came up with a plan to get the look I wanted without more bleach. I love it! She is extremely easy to talk to, and I love her passion for doing hair. The salon itself is super clean and cute. Also, for my services received I think it was fairly priced. Then, and most importantly, she gave me what I was asking for in a cut suited to my particular hair and face. Some stylists just cut it as described, without taking into account the client's own hair, face and so on. A hair style that works for one person may not work for everyone, so that needs to be taken into account. I did my research before choosing a salon, and Element caught my eye with how many great reviews it had. My roommate and I had a girls day, and we both got our hair cut and styled. I got my hair done by Kimi, and she got hers done by another stylist (I didn't catch her name, unfortunately). Both of us are SUPER happy with our hair. I have been looking for a new stylist as we moved too far away from my old one to drive there. I tried Kimi today, and as easy as that, I have my new stylist! In the past I've had to try many salons and stylists to find someone who can make my very fine, very thin and very straight scraggly hair look like it has some body, and some thickness. Talented stylists have been able to in the past, but, as I said, I had to go through many to find the one. Kimi was great! She listened to my input, and even better, applied it to the cut. I went in looking scraggly with overgrown hair that wouldn't do anything but hang straight and it looked nasty, even though I had just washed it. I left there with a properly cut bob that looks great, has bounce and shape and actually makes my hair look good! Thanks, Kimi, for doing such a great job! See you in 6 weeks! read more

I have been getting my hair cut by Tuesday for a few years now. She always does an outstanding job on my hair. I have very thick hair, which can be difficult to work with, but Tuesday always makes it look amazing. I live in Sacramento and drive all the way to Yuba City just to get my hair cut at Element Salon. My work schedule is crazy, but Tuesday is always willing to work around my schedule. I went to see Crys and my hair was bad.... the top half was basically new growth, there was an obvious line and mid section of darker Brown and then then the ends were fried and over processed and just... ugh. I showed Crys some pictures I liked and we discussed my options before we went in. A 5 hour process that she made go by like a breeze! She's very easy going, polite, kind and omg my hair. She is a miricle worker!! The price was more than fair and I am so thankful I decided to try out this salon. I can just wear my hair down, or style it. Either way it looks great and she really paid attention to my specific *lazy* and low maintence needs and personality and own perfectionism. The color and cut are just perfect for elongating my round face (she's great at noticing these things). I'll be back soon!! Can't beat these prices. Oh and the salon itself? So elegant and cute! There are not enough good things I can say about this salon. One negative is it is hard to find. But once you're inside the ambiance is so relaxing and inviting. Each staff member I interacted with was super friendly. They have a Keurig with teas and coffee and snacks so no one gets hangry. Now to my actual hair review. I had the amazing pleasure of working with Kristi. She literally made an image in my head become a reality. She transformed my hair. She was beyond professional and super personable. One thing I respected the most Is when she said "well if this was my sisters hair or my hair I wouldn't leave it like that." I have had the pleasure to receive service from hair stylist Crystal Lowe at Element Salon. I reached out to her through a recommendation I received from a nurse caring for my aunt in Marysville. I needed to find someone who would be willing and able to visit the hospital and provide hair care for my aunt, a recent stroke victim. Once we were able to connect, Crystal was an incredible resource for us. Given the very few resources in the area for African American clients, it is great to work with Crystal, who is very aware of how to care for clients with African American hair textures, and her experience as a certified nursing assistant has also been very helpful to us. As my aunt was moved to a facility an hour away from the hospital (and an hour away from where she lives), Crystal took the time to go see her, make recommendations to the staff and give me information regarding my aunt's care that will definitely come in handy as we work with a new facility to ensure she receives the best care possible. Crystal is more than just a talented hair stylist: she is a caring, consummate professional who understands and embraces her clients, no matter their background. Yahhh!!!! Found a place and a hair stylist that can do hair properly! I came in for my first visit today and explained to Connie what I wanted. Now when I say explained, let me say that there were multiple pictures shown of hair styles, gestures pointed towards my head with a perplexed look on my face, and a vague description of the color I wanted---all of this ended with the statement of "Fixit please?" coming out of my mouth. And Connie did! We were both tickled with how the color came out after blending this color and that color to get the perfect shade for me that looks totally natural. The cut and style was fabulous and very easy to recreate and take care of. I am a very happy customer! The salon is very cute, upbeat, and well kept. Connie has a new client in me! It had been a while since I had done anything to my hair, so I really needed a change. This was my first time visiting Elements, so I was a little nervous. But Neil took great care of me, he was very knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease while I was making such a big change to my hair style. Tuesday was really friendly as well, she checked up on me a few times to make sure I was comfortable. I had brought in a picture that I had found online, something different...cute and bold. However, my hair was darker, so I knew it would take time to lighten it, put in the color, and highlights. The whole process took about four hours, but I felt like I was there for an hour and a half tops. Plus, the price was actually really affordable considering what had to be done with my hair. From now on I'm going to use Elements. And the only person that I will trust to do my hair will be Neil. :-) read more

I Was looking for someone who could do extensions so I contacted the element salon I was giving a lady's number named kim. I came in for a consultation and to order The hair. i Told her that I was willing to pay more for high quality hair she said ok and told me it would cost 480$ for the hair I gave her the money and once the hair arrived I came in for the install. I got tape ins which I was told stay in for 5 weeks I was also told the hair would be good for 6 months to a 1year once the extension were installed I felt as if there wasn't enough hair she insured me that I had 3 pks of hair in my head. The hair started coming out in one week by the third week I had lost over half of the hair that was put in. All together I paid 885 for this service when I called to tell her she didn't mention anything about fixing it for free nor did she make me a priority. She wanted to take them out one day and have me come back in another day for the install. I didn't want to do that I mean I paid good money for these to be done right. I went to a friend who is a hairstylist and does extensions as well. When she saw my hair she was appalled. There was tape still stuck in my hair without the extension attached. And there was only 2 packs of hair in my head. Plus once we looked up the hair online it was 79 $ a pack and only last 3 months. So this lady KIM charged me 480$ for cheap hair and made a 330$ prophet off the hair alone and that's not even adding in all the other charges. And the hair kept falling out so it never looked good. I could of done better myself. I asked for sone of my money back and she didn't want to. She refuses to provide me with her last name so I can file a complaint. She is a dishonest greedy and shady person. she burned me and on top of that she did A very shitty job on the install. I wouldn't recommend her ever. she will also make stuff up and tell u, that u need some treatment done just to squeeze whatever money out of u that she can.
