    I was a Lawn Doctor customer until a dispute over a service I never approved ultimately resulted in…read morea collection notice. In the fall, Lawn Doctor repeatedly texted asking when I wanted aeration and overseeding performed and whether my sprinklers had been marked. I never marked the sprinklers, never confirmed I wanted the service, and never responded that I was ready. I even asked whether this was an add-on service because I had not agreed to it. They confirmed it was "separate" from my annual plan. Despite that, the company performed the aeration and overseeding anyway. The work was also incomplete, with portions of my yard around a swingset and trampoline left untouched. When I disputed the charge, I was told it was my responsibility to cancel a service I never scheduled. After several weeks, the owner left me a voicemail stating he would correct the bill to keep me as a customer. Based on that message, I believed the issue was being resolved. Instead, after months of little or no communication, I received a collection notice for the disputed charge. What makes this especially disappointing is that Lawn Doctor advertises a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. In my experience, that guarantee meant very little when I raised concerns about unauthorized work, incomplete service, and an unresolved billing dispute. Rather than resolving the issue, the company ultimately chose to pursue collection of the disputed amount. My advice to prospective customers is to keep records of all communications, get approvals in writing, and carefully review any additional services before work is performed.
