There were some students that threw balled up papers at me and my teacher ignored it every day it happened. I even got sent to a hospital by force out of spite for talking back to one of my teachers after she told me I wasn't smart enough to hangout with my friends after school and told me to go straight home. There was even an employee of this school who kept trying to find excuses to touch me by asking me to do things with him when he had me alone in his office. If you care about your kids safety and mental wellbeing I would avoid sending them to this school. Don't let the size fool you, the quality of the educators is trash. Most of the time they just hand out work packets and sit at the desk playing on the computer. Be smart and choose another high school because your child will likely drop out or get sent to an alternative school due to the toxic environment here.

I was worried that she would have a difficult time transitioning to a new school. Not so, the children welcomed her and brought her into their circle. She is much happier and more academically challenged at St. Mary. Plus, there is a great relationship between the school and the church. The children attend mass on Fridays. As an alumni who played 4 years of starting football, who stuck to a close knit group of non-football friends, who enjoyed his classes taught by veteran teachers, and watched countless peers complain and moan about the school, while not putting forth any effort to succeed themselves, this school is great. They are working on a new addition to the cafe, in which students are aloud to use electronic devices such as laptops, phones, and tablets. They have recently redone the entire indoor track and field house flooring, have indoor weight rooms, a good sized pool with showers, completely redone tennis courts, and one of the oldest yet largest and nicer looking brick football stadiums in the chicagoland area.
