As another great school year comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude for everything St…read more Ferdinand has done for our family. My oldest graduated from here after attending from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and my youngest is now entering second grade after starting in PK4. Over the years, this school has not only provided a strong academic foundation but has also been a pillar of emotional support during some of our family's most challenging times. The teachers, administration, and staff go above and beyond to truly see and support each child. They've created a nurturing, faith-centered environment that recognizes individual needs--especially important for children facing hardships. From writing letters of recommendation for high school to accommodating our children during sensitive family circumstances, their compassion and dedication have meant the world to us. St. Ferdinand shines in every area--academics, Catholic values, discipline, safety, and preparation for high school. Students begin as early as PK3 and benefit from multilingual exposure in English, Spanish, and Polish (as well as Latin and Tagalog during church services), creating a culturally rich and inclusive atmosphere. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology, and every student has access to their own device, supporting their growth in an increasingly digital world. Extracurricular and enrichment activities are abundant. Our children have loved participating in programs like Get Moving Club, Young Authors, Cheer Littles, Baby Bulls, and more. The school offers a wide range of athletics including basketball, cheerleading, soccer, volleyball, cross country, and track. Events like Trunk or Treat, Fun Run, Culture Fest, Career Day, Science Fair, Fish Fry, Family Reading Nights, Pancake Breakfast with Santa, St. Nicholas Day, Easter Bunny visits, and 8th Grade Car Wash create lasting family memories and build a strong community spirit. The school also fosters generosity and social awareness through food and clothing drives, service projects, and spiritual traditions. Families benefit from structured before- and after-care, nutritious lunches, and a safe, respectful learning environment that promotes kindness, responsibility, and leadership. St. Ferdinand is more than a school--it's a village. A place where children are seen, supported, and uplifted, and where families are embraced with love and understanding. We are incredibly blessed to be part of this extraordinary community.

I am an adult who is 40 years old. I know right from wrong. Principal Tennison might have shook every Lane students hands while he was in office, he neglected their needs as far as stress goes. There was no relief, no therapist offered whatsoever. Brian Tennison did not care. Plus, he took away all the parents privileges to volunteer at their Prom. I was devastated at that time. Even though, my youngest daughter was unhappy about me not going to her prom. I would have been very happy without dancing and prom dinner. I rather be in the same ballroom with both my daughters' prom instead of dinner and dancing. We survived without it. I do not know who changed the prom volunteer policy. Hence I am very sad at Brian Tennison. Dr. Christopher Dignam was a very very excellent principal. Dr. Dignam allowed parents to participate as prom volunteers. You rock Dr. Christopher Dignam!!!!!! Does anyone have a say about the parents, prom and Dr. Chris Dignam?
