This is my second time coming to the Colton Smog Test Only station. My experience the first time was great so I came back and this visit also did not disappoint. Ramsy is courteous and provides great professional service for an amazing value. The total cost for the smog check, state certificate and electronic transfer fee is $30 out the door using the online coupon. I'd be shocked if anyone can find a cheaper price. **BUYER BEWARE** I went in for a smog test and it didn't pass due to some sensor issues. He told me not to worry since I already paid and he's not going to charge me again. Turns out that was an outright lie!! He said that I misunderstood him and that smog tests don't charge for a retest but they have to charge again. I told him that it's not what he said when I first came in but he doubled down and insisted that I didn't seem to understand him. Little does he know that I have a relative who owns a smog check place as well as a friend who's a mechanic. They both said the same thing: SCAMMER!! There are at least three conflicting schedules of operating hours on different web sites. The coupon (and associated codes) has no expiration date, making one wonder if it's legitimate. I called the listed number, and after a weird "Your call is being recorded" announcement, heard a series of digits. I finally guessed that they comprised another phone number. I called this number and after a while, was connected to .. what, exactly? I spoke in English, and heard a bunch of grunts in return. I took a chance and drove to the place, sometime after 11 AM. The bay was blocked by a van, and some work was being done underground. A good deal has to exist. This one doesn't. Don't waste your time. read more

Went to these guys for a smog check back in July 2022 I was just notified by DMV that the smog slip was never sent so I went back to this business today August 10th to speak with the owner he looked through his records and said I'd never been there or my vehicle I assured him that I was he said he would look through his records and give me a call back in an hour never heard from him so I went back to the store said there's nothing he can do at this point I have to call this guy out as a thief I gave him $60 cash he never sent the slip in Don't let them rip you off too!!! read more

STOP calling around for prices and STOP wasting your time checking out reviews of other places! Hands down this is the most affordable with really great service!!!! I went in 5-10 mins before closing and the guy did my smog check. I came here because they have a coupon in the community coupon book as well as on their online website. I forgot to bring the coupon so I used it off of their website. Smog inspection was $19 Smog certificate was $8 They charged a transfer fee of $2 $1 for using a credit card. I ended up paying $31 which is way cheaper than other places. I won't mention the name of the other place but it was going to cost me $58 without coupon and at another location (one of my clients) said he'd do it for $40 which is discounted from his regular price. I'll be one of their regular to keep coming back for smog check. I highly recommend this place!!!! read more

Ok, the way this started was great. Come in and he gets things done. I was happy with my service at first. Didn't pass my smog test because of reset engine codes. I was told to come back after driving, then re-test. Acceptable. Now, I come back and the guy that was there, isn't to been seen. The shop has been closed and the numbers to the shop go unanswered. Sent an e-mail to them via Yelp, no response. Drove to the shop 3 times, still closed. After many attempts to call and show up to the business, I think its time to go somewhere else. Not Good Business practices if your not going to be open or have a way of phone contact. Don't tell a customer to come back and then not be open. Unreliable. I recently bought a new truck out of state in Nevada and had to have it smogged for the first time in CA to register it. It failed the first time I brought it in and Randy explained that the computers on board had not fully registered yet. No charge, and said to bring it back in with more miles driven on it. After checking with the dealer where I bought it he was absolutely right! Well, the second time I bring it back to Randy it failed again!! This time I drove it around for another 1k miles and bring it in to Randy for a 3rd time and it passes with flying colors. If I owned a business like this I would want Randy running it. Came here for a smog test today after my brother in law recommended it. I made the mistake of not asking for price beforehand. The guy did the smog test on my 2003 Honda, and charges me $51.75. That's a steep price I thought, but felt like maybe that's just his fee. (I've paid $30.00 at other locations.) Go on their website to see that they have a coupon you present for $20 smog test.... and Yelp says you can pay $30. Unhappy with their inconsistent pricing policies. read more

Online it says they open at 10 AM I showed up right before 10 I was waiting and waiting till about 1045 had called multiple times no one ever answered the phone the guy in the repair shop from next door says he usually gets here maybe around 11. Love this place 18 honest, quick, inexpensive Smog Checks over the last decade. NEVER do I go anywhere else and we drive from Redlands so there is probably 50 other SMOG locations to choose from but none are as good as here.
