I arrived 10 minutes before closing and they made sure to take care of me. I got my DMV mandated smog check and she passed. I was very pleasantly surprised that I was also given my 2026 sticker! That saved me from going to the DMV. I had mentioned my Birthday and almost being a Senior... he was so kind and gave me a discount. He surely didn't have to and I am grateful I was done in less than 20 minutes, Thank you!! read more

Very kick back dudes. They charged me a reasonable $50 price. This place is a Star Certified smog station which is important to know, as DMV will note down on your renewal paperwork if the renewal needs to be done by a Star Certified location. These guys took only about 15 minutes and electronically transferred the passing smog certificate to DMV. They have a comfortable lobby while waiting. I will recommend this place. read more

Nick's Smog Check - Smog Check Stations Near Me - San Bernardino, California

I went to Nick's Smog Check hoping for a straightforward smog inspection for my 2006 Silverado. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. The vehicle failed the smog due to a missing sticker on an aftermarket intake that was previously installed by the last owner. I understand there are California smog rules regarding CARB-approved parts, but the way the situation was handled felt unprofessional. During the visit, I was also told I could "pay extra" to pass the smog, which raised serious concerns for me. Smog checks should be done fairly and according to state regulations.I left feeling uncomfortable and decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope the shop takes feedback seriously and focuses on transparent, honest service going forward. read more

Two clowns working there I did my smog check and they failed it,told me to come back and it would be half price since I did my first one there. When I went back a week later after some repairs they tried to charge me more then the original time wouldnt honor there agreement and told me it's extra cause of this and that. Place is a scam they will rob you.! read more

The people here are very friendly and were able to accommodate me, last minute, without an appointment. Great service!

I used Nick's smog check on a drop-in basis, no prior appointment. The staff was friendly, efficient, and quick: I had my smog check completed in less than an hour and for a reasonable price. Will definitely use this shop again for future smog checks. read more

We were in and out in no time and the price was very reasonable. The service was great and the gentleman who did the smog check was nice enough to tell us we needed to get a new intake valve very soon! We will definitely come here again and recommend their business to everyone I know. read more

This place was great, as soon as I walked in I felt comfortable and welcome. Jose was the associate to help us and he was professional, friendly and made us feel taken care of. Was able to smog my truck and he was even able to make some suggestions on changing some rubber lines and applying new clamps under my hood. Thanks Jose. read more

Very nice friendly people. My car failed, but they told me what they thought the problem might be. I went and did what they said, brought it back and it passed smog. Fairly priced too. read more

This place is NOT closed! I just visited it today and service was great and it was priced accordingly. Very courteous staff. It's a tiny whole in the wall which can make it hard to find. I would definitely return. They are open for business! read more

This place treats u good I take my car'd all the time and easy economic I recommend to friends and family.

I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. Really good customer service. Quickest and friendliest smog check center I've been too, and I have been to a few because I buy and sell cars almost every year lol. Would definitely recommend! read more

Took my car for smog here the other day. The employer seemed ok. Once he started the process, turns out my car was getting overheated. He stopped the testing and let me know he had to stop due to my car overheating. The problem I had was that I still got charged $25 and left with no advice. As "mechanics" they should atleast point out what went wrong with your car. I mean actually look for the problem, but I guess they only do it for the money. They look at you as a woman and cheat you off. Save your money and go some where better. read more

Shit hole non professional one look pass or fail No need to check.I don't even what to put a star on this Place never will go back or recommend some HERE read more

Quick, easy, friendly service. Went on a Wednesday no one was there, took like 10 minutes. I was worried my old, over 200k mile car wasn't gonna pass but it did. No problem but the price was kinda high like 60something bucks, but I haven't had a smog check in a few years maybe that's an average price. I'd come here again read more

Good price! My car passed smog. Joe was a friendly employee. I recommend their service to everyone.

I went to Nick' s smog today I was in and out in 15 minutes. I received great customer service. I recommend Nick' s smog to everyone.

I brought my hybrid here in May and received great service. I was in and out within 20 minutes. I decided to bring my mom's car here. I explained the problems she was encountering with the car. He decided to use a scan tool before the test to determine whether the car was ready. The car would not pass because the sensors were not ready. I drove the car around some more and brought it back the next day. Again, he tested the car and found it was still not ready. So...back to driving it again until the drive cycle was complete. Did I mention he did not charge me a dime for any of the tests or his time? What I appreciate is that he is honest and provides great customer service. In the end, the car passed on the third day! I highly recommend Nick's Smog Check!! read more

Very friendly and only takes a few minutes and reasonable I took my 1996 Lexus there it has about 170 miles on it but it's in good shape and he charged me 40 and I passed he had the results in 2 minutes and sent it to the dmv read more

This joker caused me unnecessary grief with DMV and BAR because he didn't check his facts. Afterwords, rather than be a stand up guy and retest my car for a reduced fee, he wanted to charge me full tilt for another check. I want to mention that I have used Nick's with luck, maybe 6 or 8 times, over the past few years, but it only takes one bad experience to loose a loyal customer. Test only stations are a dime a dozen and Nick's isn't inexpensive. I'm moving down the road to the west where the same service is half the price. Adios and best of luck to you too Nick's!! I hope the 28 bucks was worth it. read more

My second time going to Nick and both times were fast, friendly and best prices in town. Give him a call for pricing comparison. I brought my 2007 Scion Tc and he got it done for $40 in about 15 min. read more

The fact that this place only has a 3 star rating overall and very little reviews to go by, tells me something. I took my car here for a smog check, in the 8 years ive had my car never have had a problem passing. After only two minutes the guys comes back and tells me it failed because of a code popping up. Price was already high but only took 10$ off for failing, paid 60$ for a failed smog check. He tells me what could be causing the code, which is illegal! You are not a repair shop legally you are not allowed to diagnose the problem. Then he tells me about a program that could pay for the part to be fixed so it can pass smog. So I apply for the program pay an extra 50$ fro an extension from DMV to drive legally, then take it to a smog repair shop only to find out that my car passed the baseline test there were no codes and no reason to do a diagnostic and my car passed smog with ease. So there is another 70$ for ANOTHER smog check. No work was needed on my car. When I return to Nicks smog check he has no explanation for why a code came up with him and not the other smog station other than time passed..???? Highly suspicious and shady! What i suspect is he unplugged and re-plugged the EGR valve(which is what he suggested was causing the code!) to make a code pop up. Easy 60$ for him and another 28 from me if i was to come back and retest. This place cost me extra money, time, and stress, I will be reporting it! read more
