On 2/15/26 I had a check engine light on my 2020 traverse. I took it to Autozone and ended up having a P0420 code. I called Affordable Smog on 2/16/27 and after explaining my situation the person who assisted me explained that CA has extended emissions laws that should cover the repairs. Instead of trying to make money, he saved me hundreds of dollars by providing information that would cover all costs and expenses. My to go place for smog. The guys know their stuff and what is needed to ensure your vehicle passes. They will run diagnostics prior to the actual smog test if needed. Might not be the cheapest, but worth it. read more

Came to the shop on September 2, the guy at the place (I forgot to get his name) was helpful opened my hood and saw I had an air intake, asked if I had the CARB sticker for the intake, I didn't so he gave me all the info on where I can go to get the proper sticker to make sure the intake was CARB approved, I got the sticker went back to his shop and he was super helpful and it was quick and easy!! So I went to Affordable smog at 8:45am in hopes to get in by 9am when they open. Says they open up at 9:00am yet I sat in the parking lot till 9:15 and no one open the shop ? Now I have to go to another smog place that now has been open already and will now wait longer because this place can't open on time !! I really can only echo the rave reviews others have given about this place. Last year when I had to smog my SUV, I decided to give this little place a try. My normal smog place in Redlands had moved and quite frankly I'd rather gargle steaming yak vomit than go to the smog shop around the corner from where I live due to the atrocious customer experiences I've had there. The yelps I read we're glowing so I thought why not? Excellent decision on my part. This little family owned smog place is on the corner of baseline and palm across from 3D Donuts. It's certainly nothing fancy to look at, but that's fine by me. The owners were very friendly and accommodating . They even took the time needed to warm the car up before the test! My SUV passed with flying colors and the price was more than reasonable. More importantly...they didn't treat me like I was a moron and did make me feel like a welcome customer. What's more I don't think I was there longer than 30 minutes...bonus! Definitely a place to patronize when the time comes! Can't recommend this place enough! read more
