I've recently discovered going beyond that, and loving on my face. Like many, until my late 20s I really didn't care, or have the money to treat myself well. I was far too busy spending money on things to ruin my body, as one does... Slowly, I became more aware of what I was putting in and on my body, and started seeking skin treatments as needed. Until having babies, I never really had anything too problematic. Unfortunately, my hormonal shifts didn't always leave me glowing. Sometimes it left me spotty and uneven and generally putting on drag-level make up before events. I'm super pale, too, so whenever I break out, the red dot results can last for months. Enter the beauty room and Amanda. I'm currently pregnant, so she consulted with me for a long while on what I could and couldn't do to speed up healing my leftover marks from my first trimester flare up. I did an enzyme peel, a deep exfoliation and a collagen eye treatment (that last one, just for funsies, and to stay ahead of the curve, ya know?). I also didn't get aftercare instructions. I got them waxed at 10am and this pic was taken at 8pm. My skin is sore and red. I'm not comfortable with telephones but was able to make an appointment by emailing Lauren. She was able to fit me in on the day I needed. Lauren was great! She makes you feel comfortable while doing your makeup. And the makeup was amazing! I needed something natural and she was able to do it. It looked good on in person and looked even better on camera. When she was done, she asked if I would like anything changed or added but it was perfect just the way it was. The price is $65 for makeup but compared to the $80 I paid somewhere else last time, it was a great price. I would definitely go back if I wanted my makeup done.

Anne Marie listens to your requests and explains whether or not your requests are possible. She…read moremakes suggestions which I was grateful for because in the end I didn't want too much. I got my mucosal liner done here for top and bottom and it cost $800. I thought it was quite expensive but at least I know why. She's the only health board certified permanent makeup artist in Canada and that costs a lot to get!! At first I didn't think it was enough but when it came time for my touch up (4-6 weeks later) I thought it was good. When you first get it done it is very vibrant and dark. After it starts to peel and scab off it becomes much lighter and the true color doesn't come out until about a month later because that hazy dry dead skin is covering the pigment. She gets you to lay down on a table (similar to when you get a facial done) and she does the first pass with the tattoo needle without any numbing cream. This is to allow the gel to to work. I felt everything though because I teared up so much the first time and I think it washed away the numbing gel. Some people say they don't feel anything but scratching but I felt everything and it's really painful. She is very quick and does take frequent breaks so you can take a look at the work she's done and ask her to tweak anything. Honestly less is more for permanent makeup. I don't want to look over done on a daily basis and when I do want more I just put on more eyeliner for special occassions anyway. I see so many of my friends with way too much makeup on for daily wear and I just think it takes away too much from their natural beauty. The work she did on me was good because I don't feel over done but yet I don't look like death. LOL! I have thin eyelashes and the little bit on the lash line and on the wetline really helps open my eyes up and make me look more awake. I would refer her to other people because she is good at what she does.

After 3 sessions with Christina over 1 1/2 years, I can say that I could cry with happiness. No longer do I have to stress about packing brows, worry about them wiping off when I swim or sweat or sleep.
