I admit it. I didn't know you could repaint the outside of your car while your car's parked outside your house. I thought I might need to go to a body shop to fix this mess. ChaChing! Every time we've needed little bit of bodywork in the past, it meant a drive to the shop, leaving it there for at least a few days, and wondering how it got so expensive so quickly. Not this time. I texted the number on the Colors On Parade flyer I got in the mail. Sent them these photos, got a quote back within the hour and scheduled them to come out. It could not have been easier. Using my VIN, they looked up the paint color, the formula, and mixed it to match right on the spot. I cannot tell the difference between the original and the new. They taped everything off, smoothed out the damage, and shot it right there. I figured it would take twice as long. Everything looked perfect. But it wasn't. I'm a pretty picky guy when it comes to car aesthetics and I thought it looked great. Mark thought otherwise. He showed me a tiny drip of clear coat on the lower section, apologized that it had dried before getting smoothed out, and volunteered to come back the next day. Now, it's really perfect. I had the bumpers repaired on my Mercedes SUV and E Class, and they struggled to get the paint to lay put correctly on both cars. On the SUV, there was a very minor scrape on the edge of the bumper that was needing repair; unfortunately, the body work was very poor and can be easily seen from several feet away. The paint on both cars have extreme orange peel and significant dust in the paint. I took the time to wet sand and polish the E Class Mercedes and will be doing the same to the SUV this weekend to remove some of the flaws in the paint. Unfortunately, no amount of wet sanding and buffing will fix the poor body work underneath the paint, which was the entire purpose of the repair in the first place. I regret using Colors on Parade and wish I would have spent another $150 to have the repair performed in a proper body shop. read more

Let me start by saying the ownership of this company are very nice people. This is not about them personally it's about the subpar service they offer. I personally had my Audi repaired about six months ago by colors on Parade. So they sent out their guy Jose to do the work. Again Jose is nice not the issue. In the past the owners did the work themselves, but I trusted this worker to do the work because I had a good experience in the early days of the franchise when the owner did the work himself. Needless to say Jose did a horrible job on my Audi...the worst job! It was botched at best. There were paint drips, swirls, and orange peel everywhere. The nightmare part if you will is the fact that he did not cover my vehicle so my entire Audi was covered in overspray. It felt like someone dumped send over the entire car. The windshield was blurry from how bad the overspray was. They had to send Jose back to do the job a second time. He also spent half the day removing most of the overspray. However, I had to hire a professional Detailer to get the car back to normal costing me $350!! It was very expensive. You would think I learned my lesson. NOPE...my bad! Fast forward 6 months to now. Both of my parents had a minor bumper scrape on their cars. I contacted the ownership of this franchise once again, thinking that what happened in the past was rectified and they would never make the same mistakes, especially since it was a big deal when they made my car a serious mess. I forgave them and thought it will be better than ever now! I didn't even think to remind them top do the proper job...like cover the cars! Bottom line they sent Jose again who repaired both of my parents cars and he did a horrible job in fact it was a complete disaster! Bait and switch again...thought the owner was going to show up...nope!! It was so much worse on both cars that they sent their same worker Jose back a second time to try to repair both of the Bumper's and he gave up as he could not reverse the damage he did this time. There was a paint drip, swirls, long lines, and orange peel everywhere. But wait for it even worse he DID NOT cover the vehicles and got overspray over both of my parents cars. Same thing as mine. Now they sent the owner Mark out to try and fix both vehicles and he gave up literally said he could not repair either car and offered a full refund which did not help much as now we have some damage! They were not able to get the overspray off the vehicles or the windshield. The overspray ran into the trunk it was awful!! We had to once again hire a detail company to come out and professionally Detail both of the cars which cost $700 alone. We then had to hire a proper paint repair company which we did not mind spending a little bit more money and the cars are now perfect the way they should've been the first time. Not sure what to say but I would not use this company. It's a disaster waiting to happen and I don't recommend them at all. Of course, as mentioned they are nice owners, but they have workers doing subpar at best work so please protect your investment. Please find another company. Beware I warned you! We paid the price apparently three times!! Look at the photos you can see the paint blobs, bubbles, swirls and lines...it was amateur hour at best! read more

Mark from COP is always very professional, friendly, and timely in his work. Today was the second time I used his services. First time was a few months back, I backed my car with a tow hitch into another car, whoops, and Mark was able to take the baseball sized dent out of the front bumper making it look flawless. This time around however, I got hit on the side by the wheel well and PDR was not an option. I should have stopped here with letting them touch my car if PDR could not be used. Mike is great at PDR, but the car needed more and I have learned that the hard way. The first time Mike came out, he left and there were pits all over the car, I was told this "would go away after a few washes or would need to be wet sanded. " I had the car washed about 3x and to no avail did the pits go away. So I had mike come out and wet sand the car. He did this in my garage where it was dark. As soon as I took the car into the sun I knew something was wrong. The cars paint looked 3D. So I had mike come out a 3rd time. He did some more sanding. But the car looks 3D still. And there is even still orange peel left on the car from it being painted. I took my car today to get it ceramic coated, and my detailer goes "what happened?" "I did not know you did dent repair. " I could have lived with the small dent I had in my car more then the 3D effect I have on my whole side panel. It's getting fixed for real today, I just can't bare to look at it anymore.
