Lo and behold, on a super windy day, the car next to us swung their door open and--WHAM--the wind slammed it right into our car. Total accident... but it still sucks. Especially when the car is only a few months old. After it happened, I did what any overly confident dad would do: I went on Amazon and started looking at DIY dent repair kits. For about 10 minutes I was convinced I could absolutely fix this myself. Then reality kicked in. I pictured myself somehow breaking a window, making the dent worse, and turning a small problem into a very expensive life lesson. At that point, my wife practically bowed down and praised my wisdom for *not* attempting the repair. Lol. So I hopped on Yelp and requested a few estimates through the app. Proper PDR was one of the first to respond. Within minutes I had a quote and an appointment scheduled for the following week. Thomas from Proper PDR showed up right on time--actually a little early--and even texted ahead to ask if that was okay. Being early? That's always okay. He greeted me like a true professional and walked me through exactly what he was going to do. He also seemed pretty confident he could get the dent out, which was reassuring considering my backup plan was... well... nothing. About 45 minutes later the dent was completely gone. The car looked like it had just rolled off the assembly line. I paid the agreed price, sent the "after" photos to my wife, and enjoyed the rest of the day knowing I had saved the day without touching a single tool. Proof that sometimes the smartest DIY decision... is not doing it yourself. Dads really are the superheroes of the family. I will definitely be recommending Proper PDR to friends and family if they ever find themselves in the same situation. read more

Thomas came out to look at a dent on my car this morning. Issue was the dent was in an odd place that was tough to reach with the necessary tools. He worked on the car for about 45 minutes and was unable to fully fix the issue and thoroughly explained my options. He was very nice and professional. If I opt to go with the other option, I will not hesitate to call Thomas as he definitely knows what he is doing. I really appreciated his effort. read more

Thomas is absolutely awesome. Did PDR on my Ferrari SF90. Nonetheless, even on Sunday. Saved me so much hassle. Amazing is under statement, Thomas removed door dings on both sides. Pointed out a few more that I didn't even notice without proper light or look at it at certain angle. All removed. read more

Thomas is a craftsman!! I just had the best experience using Thomas Werdal at ProperPDR. Unfortunately I was using my new Rivian RS1 to haul stuff to the back of my property and had the liftgate down & other part up so it deactivated the cameras. I hit a 4x4 post trying to avoid a tree and it crushed my rear quarter panel. Thomas spent 3 days working on my car and now it's perfect except for a little paint chip that I will get fixed. Thomas is an amazing craftsman and I highly recommend him. He's on IG @properpdr_oc read more

Thomas is very knowledgeable and attentive to details. He's on time, responsive, and courteous. Not only he did a great job on reversing the dent on my passenger's front door, can't tell there's a dent before, but he charged very reasonably where everyone else quoted me an arm and a leg. Also had a great conversation about life with him while he worked. High recommended his service to anyone who needs a PDR job. read more

Thomas was early for the appt, which was great for my day. I had a small ding in the hood of my Subaru Outback that was stubborn to fix. Thomas kept working it and now it's not noticeable. Very happy with the work and if (when) I have another ding, he is on my speed dial. Very good value as the repair was great and Thomas spent almost an hour working on my car. read more

Thomas is truly a magician!!! He's amazing!!! He removed 16 dings from my car and made it look brand new. When I bought this car it was already dinged up pretty bad. I have no clue where the prior owner parked it but it was in pretty bad shape on the outside. Check out the before and after pics. A+++ Now back to Thomas... He was a pleasure to work with and a great communicator. Setting up an appointment was super easy and was able to come out the same week. He was very upfront about the process and the expected end results. After getting his hands on the car, he advised me that access to many of the dings were blocked by supports and bracing inside the panel so he'd have to use the glue technique to tackle them. That technique is much more difficult and time consuming but typically has great results. I said ok just do the best you can do. So based on that I figured that some of the dents were going to be so stubborn that the end result might be only slightly better than its current state. Oh boy was I wrong, the end result turned absolutely amazing. Thomas has mastered this technique clearly. I was super impressed with his work. I will definitely use him again in the future and tell everyone I know about his services. There's a lot of choices out there. Thomas is the best and his prices and quality of work is unmatched. Thanks again to Thomas!!! I'm super happy with my car now. read more

I had a fantastic and unique experience with Thomas, the owner, of ProperPDR. I sent him the photos of the ding I wanted him to repair. He gave me an estimate over the phone and we scheduled an appointment.  He texted me a couple of times before the appointment, once to confirm and another to give me his estimated time of arrival. Once he got here, he started working on the repair. After a couple of hours of work, Thomas informed me that he wasn't equipped to fix the dent and that it had to be fixed by an auto-body shop. He referred me to Chang's Auto Body in Garden Grove, at which I had a fantastic experience.  I expected to pay for the two hours of work that Thomas had done to uncover the problems with my car, but he said there was no charge for the work. I tried to pay him, but he felt that since he couldn't fix it, he wasn't going to charge me for his time and refused to accept any payment. I can't recommend Thomas and ProperPDR highly enough. He is great, honest, showed up on time and directed me to the right person to fix my car when he wasn't able to. read more

Thomas replied immediately to my on line quote request with a reasonable quote that in the end was EXACTLY what I was charged. He offered to come out the very next day but I wasn't available so he came out at 9am the following day. Thomas is an expert at dent removal! He analyzed the dent location in the hood of my Tesla and worked to get directly to the dent, removed it and buffed the area to perfection! He also gave me some great advice about how to look into something else he saw on the back of my car that needed to be addressed with the dealership. His fee was less than 1/2 of what DentCo quoted me and I would have had to bring my car to DentCo! Proper PDR came to me and fixed the dent in my garage! Honest, dedicated to his craft and an all around good human! Call Thomas at Proper PDR! You won't be disappointed!! read more

Thomas was very professional. The dent removal he did on our Tesla door turned out great. I highly recommend his company.

Stay away!!! No response when I asked them to remedy pealing paint and a irregular finish on a rear bumper They promised, on a # of occasions to correct this problem by saying that Tommy"s assistant would call to set up an appointment, NO CALL Once they screw up they have no interest in resolving an issue. Tommy does Not have an assistant. I do not usually write bad reviews, but I paid Tommy in cash to get this done wright, NO LUCK. This problem started 5 weeks after the work was completed. You have lots of choices to get your work done. Arnie read more

Live in the Trabuco Canyon area. Small dent in Porsche macan. I checked with a few places which quoted prices almost 2x what Proper PDR quoted for mobile at home service. Thomas answered my call and was able to come same day. He inspected the car, had a whole range of tools and walked through the steps before he began work. In less than an hour the dent was gone, looks brand new and he even removed some excess paint. No need to drive somewhere and pay twice as much. Call Thomas and ProperPDR much easier and same results without the hassle and great customer service. read more

Thomas came out and fixed my car's dent. High quality work can't tell there was anything wrong with it before! Good value!

This was my first time doing a dent removal but I'm trading my car in and wanted to try and get the most I could for it. So I just called, told him about the dent in my hood, then texted him a picture of it. He gave me the quote and happened to have availability right then too. So he just came to my work, I showed my car and the dent, went back to work for a bit and he texted me about 45 mins later when he finished. It's crazy cause it was completely gone, so I would definitely use him again, it was just really easy and he seemed like a trustworthy guy. Thanks! read more
