My review may be lengthy but hopefully helpful. I will describe my experience working with Mark at OC Dents. I didnt find OC Dents via a Google or Yelp search, it was actually a referral from Dan The Bumper Man who I had initially reached out to for the scratch/dent on my Rav4. Not sure what their agreement is. Darren from Dan the Bumper Man gave me the initial quote for the dent on my Rav4 over the phone. When I agreed to move forward, I imagine he gave my contact info to Mark because Mark called me to schedule the appointment. My initial thought was that his customer service could use some help. Mark seemed rushed on the phone, sometimes talking over me/ cutting me off. We agreed on Thursday at 8am and he asked me to send him my address to the phone number he called me from ( which was odd, I thought that was Info he already had since Darren from Dan the Bumper Guy had given him my info). Thursday 8am comes and Mark is a no-show. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, I know traffic can be difficult. However, come 10am still a no-show and zero communication/follow up from Mark. I text Darren from Dan the Bumper Man and he has Mark reach out. Mark states he never received my text with the address. I was checking my phone to see if it didn't go through or something and he cut me off and instead asked if noon today worked. We agreed on noon. I was disappointed he had not reached out initially when my text never went through or the day of to confirm the address and appointment. A courtesy text would have been great. Same day, Mark arrives at noon and after looking at the car he tells me he knows I was quoted X amount but he says its gonna be more than double to fix the dent. Now I dont know what these services cost, so when I get a quote for X amount I assume its padded. However, charging me more than double the quoted price is a bit much. I needed the car fixed because the lease is due and so I had to move forward. I know the customer service rule of under promise and over deliver. Ive been quoted X amount and end up being charged less, but not the other way around. I feel my 3 star review is fair. The workmanship was great, I've attached pictures. The customer service was ok, and there was a serious lack of communication. I definitely did not like being surprised with double the quoted price. I should mention Mark did not fix the scratch/paint. That was done my Cesar at Auto Cosmetic Solutions. read more

Mark did a better job than expected, arrived earlier than promised, and finished faster than expected. The multiple dings in my wife's car weren't that large but a few were in a tough spot at an bend in the sheet metal of the rear fender. You practically have to take a magnifying glass to see them now. Someone else told me it's impossible to get sheet metal completely flat once bent but this has got to be as close as you can possibly get - and I'm a zealot for details like this. As a bonus, he noticed two little things I surprisingly missed and fixed them without additional charge. Mark is an artist when when taking out dents using what appears to be a hammer and chisel. He was telling me how he learned his trade through his different experiences.
