I asked him if there was damage to that eye, and he said he didn't know, and told me he would see me in 3 months. That response was not good for me and decided to get a second opinion. I am so thankful I did. The new glaucoma doctor knew right away why my vision was blurry. He told me that the previous glaucoma surgery I had failed, and needed to have surgery 2 days later to correct the failed surgery done by Dr. Belen. If I would have stayed with Dr. Belen I could have lost vision in that eye because of his lack of concern not wanted to pursue with further test why my vision was blurry.

How can I choose a permanent lens without any guidance? Since I am not ready to do the surgery right now, I wanted to have my contact lens prescription issued, and even though they made all the measurements and I brought the prescription I am currently using, they refused to give that, so how can I trust them to implant a permanent lens in my eyes, if they don't even know my contact lens prescription? I guess I will be looking for another practice to do my surgery. This costed me over $200 and I did not get any answer.

I am very glad that she took me over you. Not because I'm selfish or narcissistic but I was in an emergency situation from out of town I had just moved to Denver 6 weeks ago. It was a Friday afternoon here and I was on the Pickleball court and winning. Suddenly everything changed and I couldn't see out of one eye I immediately called my eye doctor of long standing back in Ohio. It was almost closing time there and the office referred me to Dr. Reeves. I walked in and yes, there were people in seats, the staff put me in one of the back examining rooms and after a thorough exam, I had surgery In the process of recovery and moving to this climate and finally starting wearing sunscreen, I picked up an infection. We're assuming I got sunscreen in my eye. She again, immediately brought me in and I was seen and a different treatment plan was prescribed. She also checked on me several times over a weekend. She did not her assistant Is she quirky, absolutely. You have got to love her shoes. Is she highly educated, absolutely. I have to admit, I was comforted by her connection to Case Western, being a Cleveland person. When was the last time you moved across the country, had an emergency and a doctor I did not know treated you efficiently, professionally and with determination. Was she kind, yes, she put me as a priority. That's the kind of doctor I want treating me when I need it. The other take away in that office, I's she must be good to work with and learn from medically. Her staff has been with her for years. That's a sign that employees like working for her. I would recommend her as a physician but understand that will be a wait for every appointment. The multiple times my husband drove me there, we both brought books. I suggest you plan on bringing something to do for the wait because you will wait. It's a small office with a small staff

I decided to make the decision to get eye surgery last year and sought out recommendations and yelp for the best care. A friend highly recommended Dr. Lewis so I decided to make the appointment with him. Dr. Lewis is pretty straight forward and thorough which I really appreciate. I could see where people might misconstrue this to be rude and that can be someone else's opinion but honestly, I think he just likes to be honest and avoid wasting people's time. It's never great to feel like another number when you're seeking out care but Dr. Lewis and his team never made me feel that way. The techs and staff here are really friendly and welcoming. They helped to ease any fears or anxiety I had without being invalidating or passing judgment. One of the techs told me he himself got PRK from Dr. Lewis because he is so good at his job. And looking back on my whole experience, he's right! During the initial consultation appointment Dr. Lewis made sure to check all my measurements twice and assess for any other abnormalities. He was consistent and steadfast throughout this process and explained to me his concerns with lasik versus PRK given my specific eyes. I opted for the PRK after consulting with him and doing my own research. He and his team were on top of all the pre-surgery, surgery and post-op appointments. He also was just consistent each and every appointment, confident but always listening to my concerns. He fairly warned me the recovery process is not easy, which was accurate. Though I was unsure and feeling uneasy with my eye's recovery process after the first post-op appointment, he continued to assure me and offer further follow up appointments later after a few months. I'm actually sitting in the office at my post-op three month follow up appointment as I write this review. The appointment wasn't necessary but I had some concerns come up and he was happy to schedule me. I just told him my concern and he knew exactly what's at fault and gave a recommendation to address the problem. Even in this interaction when other doctors may have scoffed at having another follow up despite a successful surgery, he showed he cares. He's been practicing for a long time now and it shows, not only with his knowledge but how he provides patient care. I'm so grateful for the recommendation my friend gave and wanted to share with others who may also be seeking out such options for surgery. I've really enjoyed coming to this office and am so grateful to Dr. Lewis and his team for providing me with 20/20 vision after wearing glasses and contacts the past 20 years. Also glad this will be my last appointment for the foreseeable future!

They have the most up-to-date equipment (Dr. Stuart Lewis loves his toys!). I have never had a problem with billing or experienced overcharging. I would (and have!) highly recommend this practice!

We took my mom in for her scheduled appointment, only to be kept waiting for 45 minutes. Delays happen, I understand that--but what unfolded during that time was completely unacceptable. We were first met with a very unfriendly and dismissive front desk staff. No warmth, no welcome--just attitude. While waiting, I stepped outside to grab a book from the car, and saw one of the assistants--who I had seen earlier at check-in--outside vaping what was clearly a weed pen. She had black and blonde hair, and the smell was unmistakable even from the door. Back inside, I noticed another assistant going through the patient charts, flipping around and not following any clear order. It made me wonder if we had been skipped altogether. The disorganization and lack of professionalism was glaring. Now, I will say--Amy, the young lady who worked us up, was the one bright spot in the entire visit. She was kind, attentive, and seemed to genuinely care. But unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Once we were taken to the room, we could clearly hear staff out in the hallway gossiping--talking badly about the doctors, the management, and even each other. At one point, someone commented that a team member was "missing again, probably outside smoking weed." If that wasn't concerning enough, most of the staff we saw were glued to their phones or chatting loudly instead of focusing on patient care. Dr. Krueger himself was great. But let me be clear: no doctor, no matter how skilled, can make up for a team that behaves like this. It doesn't feel like a place that values patients or takes pride in their work. It certainly doesn't feel family-oriented, which is what vulnerable patients--like my mother--need most. We've already started the process of transferring her care elsewhere. I genuinely feel bad for the doctors here, because it's the unprofessionalism and lack of basic decency from the staff that will drive patients away.
