On Wed decided enough was enough and contacted Levinson Eye Clinic to have it looked at and they managed to squeeze me in emergency visit. Turns out I had a scratch on my cornea somehow, 20% of it, and had been ripping it open with each and every blink. Not only did they take care of me completely, they offered the best eye care I've ever had (and I've a lot of eye problems in the past 7 years similar to this). They checked my eye thoroughly and even put a zero power contact on it as a bandaid SOMETHING NEVER DONE AT ANY OTHER PLACE I'VE BEEN TO (WERE THEY ALL IDIOTS?) Immediately my life went from please kill me to yay I feel almost normal. I highly recommend this eye clinic. Thanks so much Dr. Levinson.

I don't usually write reviews, but today decided that Dr. Levinson deserved a shoutout for how happy I STILL am with the results. Just had my eyes checked for the first time in a few years (moved out of state so can't follow with him anymore) and my astigmatism is returning a bit which I was told would happen but overall vision is still 20/20. At the young age of 47, just need to start using readers! So very happy that I spent the money 18 years ago and invested in LASIK surgery and trusted Dr. Levinson. It was a good experience then and I am still happy now. If you are considering LASIK surgery, this is who you should go with.

The office space had lots of natural light with big windows & plenty of parking. The receptionist was friendly & helpful. I've seen both Dr. Pennington MD (Ophthalmologist) & Dr. Rocken OD (Optometrist). Dr.P handles surgeries & specializes in LASIK, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration & Diabetic Eye treatments just to name a few. Dr. Rocken focuses on personalized eye health & care, like eye exams & treating eye problems. Dr. Rocken is fluent in English & Spanish too. Both doctors were awesome & easy to talk to. They were timely & explained everything clearly as well.

I don't know about you, but my eyesight is very important to me…read more When I saw a flash of light in my right eye, and then a black "dot," I knew that I had to see an Ophthalmologist. I have heard that seeing a flash in your eye is not a good thing. I called my insurance company, and found Dr. Lauren Zimski, an Ophthalmologist, was located near my work, and she accepted my insurance. I called. and was able to get in late that afternoon. I went and it all worked out fine. I was glad that I went. I had a new large floater in my right eye. My brain would adjust, and the flash of light was the floater, luckily. Seeing a flash of light can be a bad thing, so if this ever happens to you, get in to see an eye doctor ASAP. So, with that being said, I really liked Dr. Zimski. She is located in a small office with one other doctor. The office is small, by this, I mean, when you enter, the waiting room is right there, with the receptionist window right there when you enter. There are about six or seven chairs, but it's comfortable. Parking is easy, with parking lots nearby. Dr. Zimski does everything for/by herself, when you see her. If you need drops in your eyes, she does it, if you need your eyes dilated, she does it, if you need something else, she does it. She does it all, not an assistant. She takes her time with you, talks with you, listens to you. She is a medical doctor, an Ophthalmologist, meaning, according to Wikipedia, "the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eyeball. An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye problems." I wouldn't want anyone else except an Ophthalmologist dealing with my eyes, my vision. Dr. Zimski does an excellent job! This practice has its ups and downs…read more First, I have an excellent doctor here in Alan Kimura. I highly recommend him but I like doctors that are direct and to the point so your mileage may vary. However, for some reason, no matter which location you go to (I have been to Golden, Superior, Parker, and now Denver) the front office staff (both on the phone and in the office) can be hit or miss. Doctor availability can be frustrating when you have found a doctor you like so I make the trek up to this office from Parker just because I know my doctor seems to have more office hours at this location. At Parker he was there only 1-2 times per month. As I said earlier, I really like my Doc or I would not go through all of this. Now back to this location: It's in your typical medical office complex in Lowry. Parking for the facility can be tight. There is a covered drop off area with a small bench inside. Elevator access is available to the office or you can use the stairs to the left as you walk inside the door. The suite itself seemed rather small inside but had plenty of chairs and WiFi to use while waiting. The front desk staff was nice on my visit but as I have said, it has varied in the past. I was whisked right in after a 5 minute wait. The pre-visit person who dilates your eyes and asks you health questions was decent. She did a good job of dilation so I didn't have to wait an hour for it to take effect. Next was a visit with the photographer to have pictures of my eyes taken. He was one of the better ones who got the pictures right in the shortest amount of time. (Due to my eyelashes being long this can be a challenge with some photographers.) Finally, Dr. Kimura was excellent as always but you can tell that he may have a rough booked schedule here because the visit seemed more rushed than at his other locations. I still received excellent service in monitoring my condition but the visit was about 5 minutes. Good in that he didn't find something but at his other locations he did take the time to ask me how I was doing, etc. as he did the exam while this was just an exam and then thank you and off to the next patient. I blame that on the schedule at this location. Luckily I met him at other locations so I can compare or I might be put off a bit. Overall the practice is fine. This location is Ok. The office staff on the phone and in person can be hit or miss.

I ask for all of us to be booked to see Dr. Stuart Lewis (I had read some not great reviews about another faculty member and knew I didn't want to see them), but then was informed after I let the person on the phone know I'd need both contact and glasses exams, to which I was told I'd have to see someone else for contacts, which is ridiculous. I'm certainly not making another appointment (when you're already over a month out) for someone else. Why would I do that? Well, I won't, so I guess I'll move on. I've worn both glasses and contacts for over 3 decades, and I've never heads such nonsense.

I had severely high myopia (-12.5 in one eye, and -14.5 in the other). Wearing contact lenses all…read moreday, every day, was starting to be a real annoyance in the dry Denver climate. Obviously with my very high myopia, I was not a candidate for LASIK or PRK, so I reached out to Dr. Lewis' office to ask about cataract surgery, aka clear lens extraction, aka refractive lens exchange. From my very first call to his office, I was really impressed. The admin who answered my call was very knowledgeable about all the different options. She described the costs associated with Phakic IOLs vs lens replacement. Clear lens extraction surgery is done under local anesthesia, which was terrifying to me because I have nystagmus. I was like, "How can anyone replace my lenses if my eyes are moving all over the place?!" I had my consultation with Dr. Lewis, and he wasn't worried about this at all. He said he would administer a nerve block to stop the eye movement during surgery. I chose to move forward and schedule my surgery with Dr. Lewis because he was so confident. I figured, hey, he's not worried, so I shouldn't be, either! I appreciated that Dr. Lewis didn't promise me impossible results. Because I have nystagmus, my best corrected vision (with contact lenses) prior to surgery was about 20/100. Dr. Lewis made sure I understood that clear lens exchange surgery wouldn't give me 20/20 vision. I was like, "I know; I just want to stop being so dependent on contact lenses." I like that he was realistic and helped me manage my expectations. Dr. Lewis met with me during me pre-op eye measurement appointment. I expressed that I didn't feel confident in the measurements the tech had gotten for my left eye, as my nystagmus was going crazy during the measurements. He had a different tech redo those measurements just to be sure, which really put me at ease. On the day of my surgery, I asked him, "Are you nervous?" (because, right, it's not every day you operate on someone whose eyes are darting around like frightened guinea pigs!) and he said, "No, I've done this surgery thousands of times." Again, the fact that he was so confident really helped allay my anxiety. I had my surgery four weeks ago without any complications, and now I can confidently give five stars to Dr. Lewis. He has been awesome every step of the way. I couldn't have chosen a better eye surgeon!

But their support specialty low vision optometrist is the most advanced I have ever seen. His meticulous testing to get every little bit of vision still functioning to be best aided by a new Rx when possible is amazing. If you have difficult vision problems, the UCH Health Anschutz team is the most advanced in the area and on my insurance. The facility is modern and access through the parking garage bridge is free and simple. I had thought all medical facilities would have free parking but I recently learned that in some parts of the US, the medical buildings actually charge the patients to park! Not here. And easy access in winter as you go from covered enclosed parking through an enclosed bridge to an interior entry to the eye facility. And of course it is all ADA designed.

They are located conveniently about 2 blocks east of the Cherry Creek Mall. They have a parking garage that is free.
