This is such a special shop-- Valerie, the owner, is so knowledgeable and passionate about the soaps, lotions, and potions (ie a natural bug repellant) she makes. A great deal of the essential oils and ingredients are from flowers and plants she forages. I'm loving the citrus soap, sensitive skin lotion, and rollerball perfume she made. I've been a client of Val's for four years. Her soaps are simply the best. The product itself, but then the fragrance just seals the deal. And, her skin line is very nice. All of her products are pure. She cares, and it shows. The beard oil for my husband truly makes a difference in his skin, and he smells yummy. The dog shampoo left our pup's fur clean in a way commercial products did not. It's hard to explain, but she was cleaner. I could go on and on about my satisfaction level, but I think you get it by now. Oh, and she's shipped her products to me for all this time. Never once did one arrive broken. Since moving to Colorado I was using it very expensive creams because it's so dry here. I don't even remember how I found the Colorado real soap company but I'm so happy I did. I use the toner the dew drops ,the raindrops and the all over butter cream. I swear to you my skin looks so much better! And I'm 64 years old! I even look good without make up and that has never happened to me. Also I use the all over butter cream on my feet before going to bed and my heels are so soft. And they usually are very cracked. Valerie's wild crafted products quite simply WORK. I have headaches from a brain injury and when I felt one coming on the day I bought from her I tried rubbing on her Pine Pitch Salve and it quickly took the sharp edge off. Two days later while camping my husband strained his finger and used her Wild Mountain Arnica Oil and all stiffness and swelling was gone overnight with 2 applications when a similar injury would have taken days. I also used it on a sore, swollen knuckle joint and the next morning, gone. Highly recommend both these products. I am so glad that I found Val's blog and products; they have saved my skin! In an effort to ditch my chemically laden products, I started oil cleansing with oils from a different well known site. I thought it was working well until I started having awful breakouts just under the surface of my skin. I was searching for advice online when I found Val's article, "What is Oil Cleansing?". After reading this article I had a better understanding of why I was having so many problems. I read many other helpful articles in her blog and eventually sent her an e-mail asking for help with my skin problems. She responded immediately and was so kind and knowledgeable. She recommended a few of her products to try, and gave me so much helpful information. I don't know what I would have done without her! She made my order a priority and stayed in touch with me to make sure my skin was doing better. She is such a compassionate and genuine person; the level of customer service she provided far exceeded my expectations! Please read her articles, it is really great information. Especially the ones about oil cleansing, how to do it properly and why, and using steam distilled bottled water after tap water. An easy way to do this is to put some distilled bottled water in a small glass spray bottle and keep it with your products at the sink. I added this step to my face wash routine and it really doesn't add any time and my face feels much cleaner and softer. I now use the Foaming Charcoal Cleansing Powder, followed by the Pure Hydrosol Water, with Dew Drops to finish. I am so obsessed with the dew drops and how they make my skin so soft and moisturized. I have always had very dry skin in the winter on my forehead, even after moisturizing, but since I switched to Dew Drops I have not had dry skin once! Even if I haven't applied it all day my skin still stays soft and moisturized from applying it the night before. I can't wait to try the rest of her products! read more
