Paul was informative and meticulously inspected the house my wife and I are hoping to buy. He took…read morehis time and even invited me to walk the house with him and go over some of his concerns. He takes pride in what he does and I will recommend him to any one looking for a home inspection in the future.

Buyers beware! He missed HUGE issues in our house and it was very detrimental and costly to us! We…read morewere moving to CO from out of state and used Paul (Lighthouse) for our inspection. We were counting on him to thoroughly inspect the home we were buying for any issue and we specifically shared with him that any previous leaks/water damage were a major concern for us. He missed an endless number of things in our house, but I'll just name a few major ones: There was a previous roof leak that caused actual mold in the attic. The mold remediation team said the moisture damage in the attic roof was quite apparent and there were also literal water spots on the interior ceiling at the time of inspection ....he missed it all! He also missed water damage around one of the interior windows in our family room. The entire window frame was warped and damaged and very visible...he completely missed it. The guest bathroom had a previous leak around the toilet, this was made clear by the staining around it on the floor, which he managed to miss in his initial inspection. We did call the toilet out because the damage was so apparent to us and so we asked him specifically to go back and look at it again. Upon his second inspection of that toilet, he did acknowledge there was water damage. How could a trained inspector miss such MAJOR and obvious issues?! I would never trust him with your home inspection. We have spent so much time worrying about the things he missed, not to mention how much it will cost to fix. He is not thorough and he will not take your concerns seriously and you will end up paying the price. Update: I read Paul's response and am sorry to see that he takes no ownership for his mistakes...one more reason not to use him. A few points of fact: 1) He claims he told our agent there was "previous moisture stains" in the attic, but yet what he sent to us in writing regarding his inspection of that portion of the attic was: "All other photos are from attics inspected today. Fiberglass Insulation averages about 10 to 12 inches thick. Attic appears to have appropriate attic ventilation. No major concerns were visible in these areas today.".....I'm supposed to believe he told my agent something different than what he told me directly in writing? I'm happy to share screenshots, Paul. He also doesn't explain how he missed the obvious water staining on the ceiling in the middle of the family room, which was how we ended up finding there was an issue. He missed it, we saw it, he is not thorough. 2) His excuse for missing the obvious water damage around the window was that he wrote in the report: "windows in the home may be original to the property and at or nearing the end of their useful life". Saying the windows may be original and may be near end of life is a heck of a lot different than saying a specific window has a specific issue that needs to be addressed. Paul missed an obvious issue with obvious damage, period. 3) We agree on this one, he did NOT note the obvious moisture damage around the toilet in our inspection and only went back and thoroughly inspected it based on our request. He admits that he then identified the damage. This is exactly what I said in my initial review. Once again, he missed it, we caught it, he is not thorough.

I found EnvioCore based on great reviews and I'm so glad I did…read more We were in the process of buying a house and the seller had tried to remediate stachybotrys (toxic black mold) himself with some shower spray and spray paint Staci understood that we were in a time crunch to evaluate the extent of the damage and went WAY out of her way to provide us with timely air samples. She communicated with me the entire time and was honest and hilarious. I feel like she's a trusted friend now! She even went back the next day to grab some more samples for remediation purposes. And this is a busy lady. She provided excellent info to our mold remediators (All Dry, another great company). She and Mike were in constant contact, so I didn't have to be the middleman. She came back after remediation and just hearing her voice and her optimism gives me hope that this is finally behind us. She also squeezed in an asbestos test in the middle of the project! I would highly recommend EnvioCore to anyone! Update: I'm still raving about EnvioCore but their billing practices are a little aggressive. I received an invoice on 9/12 as well as a phone call that I had an invoice. Great- I planned to pay it on my first day off. On 9/16 I got a text from my realtor that said EnvioCore had contacted him "looking for us" and wanted us to know if we didn't pay by day 30 we would be going to collections. Wow. I paid it on 9/16 as I planned to do. I had paid 3 prior invoices on time so hadn't given them a reason to doubt me. So great testers, the financial department could use a customer service refresher course though.

They were honest, transparent with me which I really appreciate. I had some questions about lead…read moretesting and they were straight shooters with me. Definitely recommend them and will use their business in the future.

The team at Green Door could not have been better to work with. Cody was incredibly quick to get me…read moreover a quote when I sent over an inquiry. The online portal that they use is extremely easy to use and navigate. When it came time for the actual inspection, Jeff was on time, communicative, and extremely detail-oriented. The final report was delivered to me within minutes of Jeff finishing at the house in an easy-to-read format that I sent over to the builder of my home. There are so many unreliable companies out there, but I am so pleased to say that Green Door stands out from the pack as somebody you want in your back pocket when it comes negotiation time on your home purchase. I would highly recommend them for your next home inspection!

It's very clear that Cody is an organized professional. From his equipment, care while working in and around the house, prompt communication, and well-presented report, I felt like he treated my inspection with the same level of care he would put into his own home purchase. Going above and beyond, Cody stuck around after the inspection to walk me through aspects of the home I wasn't familiar with and building techniques and code to be aware of when considering home renovations. I am beyond pleased and happy to recommend this veteran-owned business to anyone looking for a true professional home inspector.
