Performance High is a game changer! I found Adrienne on YouTube when I did a search on Stage Fright…read moreand found her video incredibly insightful. I took her advice right before my first performance in well over a year and actually ENJOYED the on stage experience! I figured if she could make such a difference in my life through a YouTube video (that I admittedly watched a few dozen times), imagine what I could learn by becoming a client? I've had almost a decade of private vocal coaching so I know high quality instruction when I see it. Performance High offers so much more than vocal technique though. I recently started performance coaching lessons with Justin Long and I am seriously mind blown. There are very few schools that offer the curriculum available here. Schools which dispense knowledge in a practical manner that is useful AND AFFORDABLE to an indie artist like myself. Did I mention I live in the Bay Area of California so our sessions are in video conference via Facebook chat/Google/FaceTime??? The distance isn't even an issue because technology closes the gap. With regards to my sessions with Justin, the breadth and depth of his expert instruction is thorough, easy to comprehend, logical, and compassionate. He exceeds my expectations (read: value=more bang for your buck). I always leave super excited to implement his methods!!! Performance High rocks on every level possible!!!

He is now 15 and recently had to leave SOR, but only because he is now in High School was not able to juggle all of his high school extra curricular activities as well as the SOR schedule. He plays guitar like a professional and that is all due to the fantastic instruction at SOR Broomfield. We are now looking for a new guitar teacher and it's been difficult to find one with the ability to teach children like the instructors at SOR do. We met with two instructors, who have each been playing guitar for 20+ years, turn down teaching my son (who has been playing guitar for less than 5 years) because my son knew more and played better than they do. No Joke!!! This is all due to SOR as he started playing guitar with them and has never been taught by anyone else. SOR is the real deal. If you have a child who is interested in music, sign them up! It did wonders for my son's self esteem and unlocked a very special talent in him that we otherwise may not have known he had.

I just had the best experience at Universal Music! If I could give this location more than 5 stars…read moreI would. My brother was in town for a few days, and he wanted to find his 1st guitar. He is working at a boyscout camp for the summer and had a very limited budget (less than $100). We decided to spend a day looking at all the music stores we could think of. We were closest to Universal Music and so we stopped there first. We walked in and it looked well taken care of and with a good selection of all things musical. My brother started looking at some of the guitars and a staff member came over to see if we needed help. My brother described what he was looking for (a first time beater guitar, for campfires and tent life) and the staff member (salesman?) was fantastic. Not just pointing at a guitar, though he did point out a few and used them as examples, but telling him what to look for and how to recognize it (i.e. composite top vs. solid wood top and how they hold up under different circumstances). And what to avoid for his situation. And common problems to avoid when buying a specifically used guitar. And... a wealth of information! All of this knowing that they didn't have anything in the store that was probably in my brothers budget. (they had a couple that were at the top end of the budget, but we were determined to deal hunt) He sent us on our way armed with useful knowledge. We proceeded to several other locations. Guitar Village where no one even said hello, let alone offered any help. Pawn shops full of sleazy sales people. We ended up finding a second hand guitar well within budget that my brother bought, taking all of the information that was given to us at Universal Music into account. Wanting to buy new strings for the guitar my brother decided he wanted to spend his money at Universal Music (of course!) and so we went back. The same staff member was there and asked how our search went. My brother showed him the guitar and he gave a thorough once over, pronouncing it good. When he told my brother he picked out a good guitar, I'm not sure I've ever seen my brother look so proud. We bought the strings and the staff member offered to restring the guitar for a little extra and of course we did. He took such good care of the guitar (and was so fast) it was fun to watch! So there is a long story to demonstrate just why I was so pleased with this place! Their customer service was excellent! What a great way to treat a young man who wanted to learn! What a fantastic first time experience for someone new to music! Their inventory was well displayed, in good condition, and a great selection. They offer lessons, and if their teachers are anything like the people who work the sales floor I can only see it being a great place to learn! I know in the future where I will be buying anything music related! I almost want to start playing myself so I have a reason to support this local business.
