We…read morewalked the lot with Josh, who knew his product, knew the pricing and played exactly zero games. We found the perfect stone for our project and bought two slabs. I do have to say that i wish we had bought three though, and by the time I fully realized that, it was too late - they had sold the entire lot. This was my mistake though I think. We did not discuss backsplashes on my original trip and what i didn't realize is the preferred way that they are cut adjoining the slab on the counter. I did not have enough product to do that. Granite Liquidators set me up with Robles Marble and Granite. Luis Roble in particular. These great people are SUPER good at what they do. I am really impressed. I wish i could write them a separate review on yelp but they do not have a business page. I really did not know what to expect when i finally got my remodel job to the point where i could call them to have a measurement taken. So when i was ready, I called. My counters were installed less than 2 weeks later. This is in Idaho Springs BTW - not a short trip to the 'burbs. The results speak for themselves. I wish i had bought enough product to do what Luis wanted to do with the backsplashes - but that doesn't bother me a whole lot, and I guess it saved me a fair mount of money. Very happy with my experience at Granite Liquidators and I have Yelp'ers to thank in particular for showing me the light when compared to other places in town.

I was super impressed with their no pressure style of doing business. I'd been to local granite sellers and was tired of getting the run around on what level of stone was what. What a bunch of BS. I'm happy to say that there was non of this nonsense going on at Granite Liquidators and they provided me with excellent customer service.

Granite and Marble Designs - How the kitchen was left from Tuesday afternoon until Friday when they came back to finish.

I had a really negative experience with Granite Marble Designs. For the too long, didn't read…read morecrowd: Granite Marble Designs did not understand the complexity of installing countertops in my house and charged us an additional $616 to deal with it. While I'll go through the details of they said vs I said, I think what it really comes down to is a difference of opinion on what is the customers' responsibility vs the business' responsibility. Granite Marble Designs was unaware of my kitchen cabinets not being level, even after they sent someone out to laser my kitchen. I also mentioned that my kitchen floors weren't level. Regardless of any fault, the countertop installation was problematic. GM Designs got half way through the install on a Tuesday and came back on Friday to finish the job. In the meantime, half of my kitchen had countertops, everything in my kitchen was in my living room and my kitchen sink was in the driveway. We (the customers) had come up with a plan to build supports in order to level the top of the cabinets to finish the countertop install as GM Designs only offered us the option to stop the job midway and for me to find someone else to level our cabinets. Oscar from GM Designs came to my house and approved of the plan that we (the customers) would have countertop supports pre-cut and ready to be screwed in to the cabinets when the team got there on Friday. We also seem to have a difference of opinion here as Mike (the owner) said the reason that we were charged additional cost for labor was because it was our responsibility to have the supports leveled and installed when the installers arrived on Friday. This was not what was discussed with Oscar. I have no idea how to perfectly level something across the length of an entire room. If I was that good at installing countertops I would not have contracted a countertop company to replace my countertops. I don't have proof of this as I didn't record the conversation I had in person, in my own kitchen. With the other issues, I would not have anticipated that this would be the point of contention. After the job was complete, we were charged $616 more than the initial contract. Speaking with Mike (the business owner), he said that was $250 for an extra day of install and $366 of additional labor for the install. I had to call Mike to get a dollar value breakdown for the $616 extra cost as no one replied to my previous emails asking for a cost breakdown. Here's the difference of opinion: I think it's the company's responsibility to assess the job properly and then deal with it. They (the business) maintains that the job was more difficult and that the extra cost is my responsibility. I wish they would have been transparent about the possibility of variable cost upfront. I can see both sides, but just understand that if the job turns out to be more difficult than Granite Marble Designs initially believes, then the responsibility to pay for that may fall on you (the customer). So in total about who took responsibility for what: GM Designs took responsibility for 1/2 of the extra day and charged a discounted rate of $250 vs their normal $500 second day charge. We (the customers) took responsibility for cutting out the sink plumbing and replacing it as the plumbing no longer reached the sink with the change in height in the countertop (about $150 in cost), we came up with a solution to finish the countertop install and make the cabinet supports, cut and painted new trim for the cabinets to hide the gap between the cabinets and countertop, repainted and reinstalled the floor trim that was removed, and paid the additional $616 (about 17% additional cost) to Granite Marble Designs.

Buerger Brothers Construction built an addition to our home, which included a 700+ square foot garage, using concrete poured on Piers and a floor poured as a "Slab on void" due to bad soils report. They also built a new deck, and managed front yard landscaping. They are an honest, ethical, professional, and an excellent company to do business with. We started planning in May of 2019, with construction from June through October of 2020, we found ways to work during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Communicating with Christian was a breeze, he was easy to talk to, responsive, professional and truly cares about what you are conveying. Because I am a retired engineer I had to stick my nose into everything... From the beginning he brought in professionals from the Architect, Structural Engineers to the finishing Carpenter and Painter, each step was amazing and all within budget. The cadre of subcontractors hired by Burger Brothers had to meet a high standard of professionalism and produce a high quality product, they were all wonderful to work with. Of note, was the daily cleanup, the care taken and the security to the existing area, especially working in the midst of a pandemic! Inconvenience was kept to a minimum and in the end we can actually say the complete project went quite smoothly and was a great experience. Would I hire them to do it again? Absolutely "In a heartbeat, no doubt about it!" I just cannot brag enough about this company and I promise you will not regret your decision to hire Christian and his crew! I could go on and on, but you get the gist.... if you want honesty and professionalism, these are your guys! Without hesitation I would recommend them and would hire them again to do any construction project.

Christian was great to work with, he was knowledgeable and communicative throughout the process. He provided guidance every step of the way and helped us determine what would work best in our space. There were a few challenges along the way that caused the project to take longer than expected, but the quality of the work is excellent. We appreciate the crew's attention to detail and their diligence in getting it done. We have been enjoying the deck this summer - it's nice to be able to spend more time outside without worrying about safety. Thanks, Buerger Brothers!
