They use all the cheap supplies and skip lots of important steps to prevent lifting etc. when I asked about any nail primers the man was really rude to the point where I had to end my manicure. Definitely not coming back. read more

I took my mom and grandma here to get our nails done for my wedding. The staff was super friendly and didn't rush us when it came to choosing colors. I chose a pink/white ombre dip powder manicure (with added acrylic tips) and a matching color for my toes with the pedicure. I showed them the photo I had pinned on Pinterest and it turned out so well! Afterwards I did notice that one of my tips was filed a tad bit crooked but it's hard to notice at first glance. That would be my only advice--to check for straight, even lines but that's with any nail salon. I will definitely be going back! Pretty sure I found my new go-to spot for nails. My nails are filed perfectly because she took her time and really checked them all. I really think this is the best salon I've been to in terms of their friendliness and the job they do. Found this place over the summer and have been going religiously ever since. I even moved to Chicago, and still make sure to get my nails done here every time i come home- i don't trust anyone else!! I have acrylic nails and am very picky with the shape, and they do an AMAZING job. Prices are super reasonable, the staff is really friendly, and they work incredibly fast. Honestly this is the first nail salon I've found that i can 100% vouch for, and as long as Im in the St Louis vicinity i will never go anywhere else. I went here to get a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure turned out okay but they didn't do the entire nail so it doesn't look very professional. My main issue was with the manicure. I wanted a gel manicure and they refused to do one for me. They wouldn't give me a good reason, only that a classic french manicure would be better - I disagreed because I prefer gel manicures. They last longer and they aren't as expensive. However, I wasn't going to argue with them, not worth my time. The masseuse I had was very inexperienced and ended up messing up my manicure to where it looked sloppy and my nails were uneven. Instead of being honest that she had messed up the manicure (I have eyes, I could tell it wasn't right), she called over another person and she started doing my nails. It took a lot longer and I was treated very poorly during the service. I literally had my hand practically slapped for "moving." I have hand tremors which is something I don't have any control over but it also isn't something that is usually very noticeable. But to be criticized and ridiculed isn't something I am prepared to deal with as a customer. Especially with their pricing... After she was done doing my nails, at this point I was pretty upset, she got in my face while tightly holding my hands and said "DO NOT touch your hands because this took a long time." Well it wasn't my fault that it took so long. The worst part was that they wouldn't work with me on the payment. I tried to explain that due to how I was treated, I wasn't comfortable paying 70 for the services but that I would pay 50. I was told absolutely not and they wouldn't give me my debit card back until I had paid the full amount. I agree that I had a service done and that it is my duty as a customer to pay for this service. But it is their duty as a business to ensure customer quality and satisfaction, both of which is very lacking. My point is that I am trying to save others time and money so that you don't have a similar experience. It was not a good experience on my part. I wore my nails on my honeymoon and I couldn't even enjoy them because I was constantly reminded of what I went through as a customer. read more

Really wanted to love this place because it's close to my house and the people were so sweet and accommodating. Everyone was very kind and went out of their way to make sure my nails looked how I wanted. Unfortunately though, my powder dip mani started chipping less than a week after I had them done. They looked perfect when they were done so I was really surprised to find multiple nails chipping after such a short time with no manual labor/wear and tear done in that period. Unfortunately had them done right before going out of town so I couldn't have them fixed. Pedicure is still holding up though after 2.5 weeks now. Hoping it was just a one time thing, but usually powder dips I've had in the past last me at least 3 weeks before chipping... read more

Nothing fancy here at all, but the place is clean, efficient, and the women working are very nice and do good work. Not recommended for a "girls day out" kind of place, but the prices are fantastic ($22 for a spa ped), and they are speedy and get the job done well! read more

I used it Monday and was very impressed with the result, the shop and the personnel. I was pleased and suggest it to all. I will be going back. So I did go back today and did pedicure and manicure. I should have trusted my first instincts and turned right around and walked out! This place may be quick and cheap but they are anything but friendly and they probably need a visit from the health department. The walls are dirty and dingy there is some black nasty looking stuff around the pedi tubs, the restroom is disgustingly filthy too! The staff talk and laugh a lot amongst themselves but hardly focus in the person in front of them. The woman working on my feet was rude and told me I should buy my own instrument and clean my toes beforehand so it's not as hard for her next time, she also cut me and didn't even apologize or ask if I wanted to continue! They massage you for like a half a second slap some polish on, no top coat charge you $25 and you're done. I have been to much better places and for sure will not visit here again! read more

Kelly, the new owner, is adorable! She's so friendly & sweet. My friend and I went in for a gel mani & pedi. We received wonderful service at a great price. While Color Nails is currently remodeling, with new floors, paint & pedicure chairs, that didn't bother us. There was a big selection of cute nail colors that made it hard for us to pick our favorite color! Kelly told us that she used to work at Nail Pro & Nail Expo in the area, so I know she has a great background as a nail tech. I came in Saturday to have a fill done was greeted right away. Polish I wanted they didn't have wasn't a big deal went with different kind n design. The gentleman who painted my nails hardly spoke to me but would converse with others in his language which I find very offensive as a customer the women were just as guilty it's simply rude. The girl who put the design on my fingers spoke more to me the whole time I was there and was more pleasant than my tech. And being I was only there Saturday my gel on my nails is peeling off which I have never ever had happen since I have been getting my nails done and that's been a few years. So now I have to go find a place to have my nails repainted since my polished is peeling off which stinks cuz I really liked the color and the design the girl did. The two stars goes to her she was super sweet talkative eager to please and do different designs. And would greet you as you entered and exited the store. But not likely to return because of the tech and sit there and wonder if there are talking about me since I complained. read more
