I was hired by Color Café to complete electrical work, and we agreed on the full price upfront. I finished all the work properly and on schedule, and the business is actively using everything I installed. When I followed up for the remaining payment that was owed, the owner not only refused to pay but spoke to me in an extremely rude and vulgar manner. The level of unprofessionalism was shocking. Based on my direct experience, I strongly advise other tradespeople and customers to be very cautious when dealing with this business. read more

I attended the paint with puppies session and was very disappointed it was advertised and shown by photos for the event that I would be painting with puppies around me. This is fact was not the case. the puppies where put in a very small pen and you would only get to visit them for not even 5 mins. The pen hardly big enough to fit all 3 puppies was also saturated with pee of which I had to step on to see the puppies. The selection of pottery was very limited and all started at a super high price point. it would have been nice to have some more affordable options. To top it off I wanted to pay and a staff memeber was asking for my personal information half way across the store. I had to ask them to come closer so my information would not be disclosed to those around me. I'm happy the cost of the event is going to help the shelter but this could have been better executed. read more

We have visited this location twice so far and have really enjoyed our time. You pick a piece and the price on the bottom is inclusive of the painting, firing ect. While it can be a bit pricey, there is a good selection of smaller items that you can paint, and everything we have painted so far has been on display in the house. (I have also left one outside ant it is surviving well) We also got to check out the painting and bunnies last Easter. It was so awesome and the staff made sure everyone got lots of time to paint and best of all cuddle bunnies. Great treat for the little ones to exercise their creativity. read more

This was my third visit to a Color Me Mine and it's always a fun time! I purchased a Groupon worth $30 for 2 people and my friend who came with me had never been. I went in a few days earlier and the staff person working encouraged me to take photos so I could show my friend what pieces we could paint from. We went on a Wednesday evening and there was one couple painting. There's so many cool ceramics to choose to paint. I wasn't sure if I wanted to paint a Snoopy and Woodstock mug or a Hello Kitty trinket box. I decided on the Hello Kitty ($28) and to paint it Starchild (KISS) to go along with my Demon HK I painted last time. My friend picked out a heart shaped bowl ($35). Because I was familiar with the process, the staff didn't provide much instruction. My friend was nervous but I asked for some books so she could get ideas on how to paint her bowl. The bottles were neatly organized by numbers and the wall showed the colours according to the paint number. A few colours were pretty popular and shared amongst the painters. There were 2 more couples that showed up to paint too. We painted for close to 2.5 hours. There are stencils and small bottles with fine tips which are great for decorating and writing. There are 3-4 different sizes of brushes and staff are good with changing the water. My friend really enjoyed it and I did as well. I love relaxing and painting while creating something for home that is unique. It was no problem paying with Groupon and gift card. The price includes everything and I got a call 2 days later to let me know the pieces were glazed and ready for pick up. They offer special events for kids and adults and I believe discounts for mall staff and military. This is a great place for kids' parties, date night, or fun with friends! read more

Baby safe paint and a party area in the back. Website is organized and you can have fun with your creative ability and just hang out with friends, family or whomever you choose to take. They can Host a slew of events - just have to call and book. Pick your pottery and they provide the paint. Decorate and your final craft will be ready for pick up in a few days. This is something completely out of the norm for me. I've never gone to paint pottery before, but I can say this is one of the best days I have had in a long time. It's a small place off in the corner past Galaxyland, but you definitely don't want to miss out. There are lots of different items you can choose to paint including seasonal items (which right now are Thanksgiving and Halloween). You choose your item, fill out your paper and the host puts the price or sticker on the paper and your off. You grab a pallet, pick your colors out of approx 120 of them, and grab the brushes you need. The tables are big enough to fit 4 people comfortably. Once your painting, the host comes and changes the water your using to clean your brushes often, they make sure your finding everything and are so Very helpful without being on top of you at every move. Once you have your item exactly how you'd like, you go up to the register and pay. Because you have filled out all your info, you leave your item with them for a few days while they fire them and shellac it. They call you once it is ready for pickup. If you have a few hours to spare and want to try out painting pottery, I would highly recommend. It was a lot of fun and this place is very welcoming. read more

Basically you pick from a variety of blank ceramics( all prices include paint and baking) than choose the colours you want to use and paint! Lots of different types of ceramics ( plates , cups , bowls, piggy banks, serving plates ect.) About 50 paints to choose from. Tonight we went to "Color Me Mine" in WEM. We were Soooo Excited because it was a Harry Pottery Night!!! Last week I got an email saying that we could paint Harry Potter themed items for only $9.75 per person. What a Great Price!!! Something I could afford! When we got there we went and picked out 3 owls and Cohen picked a goblet. We then spent the next two hours painting them. They looked Great! When we were done I went to ask the staff what we should do with our items. She said you leave them on the table, and now you pay for them and then pick them up Next week. I was very confused because I thought that the pieces were included in the $9.75 that I paid. NOPE I was wrong!!! and each piece was over $50. My Total was $210.00 plus the $40 I already paid. I told the lady that they didn't say that online when I booked it. And she argued that they did. I then explained to her that, had I known that it cost that much, I wouldn't have booked it. And that I can't afford to pay the bill! She said she couldn't do anything about that! She called the manager and she also couldn't do anything to help me out other than offer me a 10% discount. I was crying and Natalie was crying. And we had to leave our beautiful Owls there to get washed off. So I paid $40 for Nothing! I took my mother there on a Wednesday afternoon to celebrate her birthday. It was quiet and we had the place to ourselves. We were given a little direction and pretty much left on our own. I selected a tea pot for $47 and my mother selected a jug for $40. Before getting started we asked if we needed to paint our items white as we both wanted that to be our base colour. We were told not to, and that once glazed the items would turn out shiny white. I received a phone call three days later and picked them up the same day. This is where the disappointment began. The jug my mother painted is covered in bubble marks where the glaze wasn't applied smoothly. It's fairly noticeable and has a raised texture, but not so bad that it can't be displayed. The tea pot is another story, it is completely discoloured and has brown patches all over it. The associate who was the same person who helped us on our first visit said that it should have been painted white prior to glazing. When I brought up that I had asked if I should paint it white, and was told I didn't need to she admitted she had told me not to. She said she didn't realize it had aged. I expressed how disappointed I was as it's not very nice, and isn't something I would display. The response I was given is that there isn't anything wrong with it and that it's still food safe. I was told if I wasn't happy I could paint a new one. This isn't really an option, as I had taken my mother there to enjoy an afternoon together and am not interested in going back to spend 3 hours there on my own trying to recreate the same design. I requested a discount on it thinking maybe I could just deal with it and was offered 15% off on my next visit, I said that wasn't satisfactory to me and was then offered 20% off on my next visit. In the end I just took the items, and didn't bother with any future discounts as I am not interested in ever spending money there again. If you want a fun afternoon, and don't care about the end result then it would be fine. However, having spent $100 including tip I had higher expectations for the finished product. read more
