I really like the new location as there is lots of parking, the store is spacious and bright inside and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The wall on the right side of the entrance changes with difference themes periodically. The store is laid out so there is lots of room to look around without getting in other people's way. The paper is displayed by theme along with stickers and embellishments. They carry some unique papers like printed acetate. Ink, markers, ribbon, stamps and die cuts are located near the back of the store. What I was so excited about was to see stamped images on watercolour paper. There was a selection of different images and greetings for cards, each sheet was $1.79. The images can be coloured with Copic markers, watercolour pencils or aqua painters. You cannot walk in and not buy anything. If you spend over ten dollars and you get one scrap buck which does not expire. They offer Saturday crops as well as the occasional weekend crop. Sign up on their email list and receive store info!

They had more dies, more stencils and to my amazement they even carried gilding flakes ! The staff are wonderful and friendly. I was also impressed with how good their website is. I spent a fair bit of money there but was very pleased that I was able to buy products that even Michael's doesn't carry such as Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink pads and the inkers to go with them. The selection of dies to be used with Cuttlebug's, BigShot's etc. are AMAZING ! I LOVE this store!

As a customer of 26 years we have been purchasing equipment, butcher and trapping supplies from…read moreHalford's. But the experience with the service/repair dept. or in this case person was something else. After having been misled and purchased a part that didn't solve the issue with our machine, contacting the manufacturer ourselves to diagnose what was wrong with the machine (which should have been the job of the repair person - troubleshooting) we finally found out it to be the timer relay. Dropped off the machine to get fixed in August and not even 4 months later the same part needs replacing. After contacting Halfords and informing them that the machine is down again, it took 3 days to get a reply which included a statement that the part that had been installed might be faulty. As this is a machine that is in use daily we opted to buy a machine that was available to us immediately to continue our work. So today we were told we have to pay for the part and the shipping. When I questioned it and refused to pay I was schooled on "how warranty on electrical items work and as I bought a machine somewhere else, to go and let these people repair it". We have never been treated that way at Halford in the past. Maurice was always helpful and pleasant to deal with and always found a solution. Today's treatment was the opposite of customer service.

***CLOSED ON SATURDAYS***…read more I was referred here when I mentioned to a co-worker I was looking for a stand for my abalone shell. I had no idea what I was walking into. I found my stand and a ton of smudge sticks right near the front door. I didn't need any smudge sticks but I know where I will go when I need them next. When I went to pay for my purchase I was pleasantly surprised to see products from Mother Earth Essentials as I have only found them at the Royal Alberta Museum until today. I would give 5 stars but they are closed on Saturdays. I was told today by staff due to the owners religious beliefs that is their day of rest which is cool, I give them credit for their convictions.

This store is like Disneyland for people who love beading! The selection is beyond amazing here…read more You definitely need time to explore the store. Do not come here if you are in a rush and have a limited amount of time. I came here specifically to check out the beads made of semi precious stones. I had some ideas of what I wanted to buy before coming to the store. However, I left with more items than I initially planned. I found the products were clearly labelled with the type of beads, size of beads and prices. The store was well organized. I didn't have any difficulty finding what I was looking for. However, I did go around the store a few times to make sure I saw most things at least once. This store is jam packed! They have all the supplies you need to make beaded jewellery. For example, they sell different kinds of string, glue, jewellery findings and tools for jewellery making. They also have a random selection of costume jewellery, socks, purses, wallets, embroidery, sage, essential oils, books and so much more! This store had larger selection of beads than what you would find at a big box craft store. I found the prices pretty reasonable. I will definitely be back here when I need more supplies!

However, it can be difficult - and expensive - to find beads, charms, pendants, and all of the findings (the parts needed to put everything together, like clasps). Then I discovered Bead World. Beadmaking is not just for hippies anymore. This store is huge on the inside and features several rooms of charms, strings of beads made from different materials like glass or stone, ribbons and strings with clasps already attached (just add charms), and even a small selection of wallets, purses, and pre-made jewelry. The charms and pendants are incredible. There is a huge selection of religious ones for Christians and Buddhists, ones for sports, ones made from fimo clay, and even ones from Swarovski crystal. Many are from the Shag Wear designer line. I bemoaned the lack of Stars of David, but otherwise had to exert a great deal of self control. I got one horizontal fimo charm, a string of beads that look different than anything I own, and a bag of jump loops (used to connect pendants to a necklace). The prices are much lower than any other bead store I have visited and the selection is better. I am inspired and will be back.
