Easy to find via Google maps. Lots of parking in the strip mall parking lot. ( Could bring snacks too) Price seems high but totally worth it. Had a blast. Was really good as interestingly no one felt like the weak link as all the games are so different. Loved that huge variety of games. Really recommend going when others don't so no waiting. Games are really short so not a ton of waiting but it also means we couldn't play very long at each station. Worth playing ALL games once then go back and play your favorites. Love the free swag and prizes for returners. 100% would recommend and will be back.

I wasn't really sure what to expect but I knew it was some type of a physical game place. This is kinda like a video game but in real life! You start playing at level 1 and work your way up through the levels. Each level unlocks rewards or swag too! Think things like Actívate water bottles, T-shirts, hats, mugs, etc. you can also unlock rewards like lifetime 50% off! I find the cost quite reasonable, $25 per person for 75 mins of gameplay. You play in teams of 3 - max 5 people. I visited with my husband, my friend, her 15 year old daughter and our 14 year old niece. I think this place is perfect for that age group but it was totally fun for us too and I would definitely visit again! The staff takes you in and tells you how to play and how to set each game up. You can play as a team for some fun teamwork games or you can play competitively against one another which is also really fun! We started off playing as a team and loved it! Playing competitively is also really fun but can be difficult for some. There are many different rooms where you can try different games. I recommend trying them all and then going back to do the ones that you liked best! My favourites were the rooms called Hide and Mega Grid. Your timer starts when you're playing and stops when you're nor playing so you can take a break to drink some water or catch your breathe. We came on a Friday evening, they are open during the day as well as late night so there are lots of options. When we got there it wasn't too busy but when we were finishing the place was filling up! If you want to avoid crowds I would try coming earlier in the day. You could even come during an extended lunch! Anyway, I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be visiting again very soon! They currently do not have any type id party room but don't let that discourage you from bringing your 4 closest friends and having a great time!!

I came here recently as a chaperon for my daughter's grade seven band camp, so I didn't get the complete summer camp experience, but I certainly got a good taste. Our 30 kid band used the Cedar Lodge as their practice space. This space was ideal, having good acoustics, was quite roomy and could have accommodated far more people, and yet was still quite cozy and was stocked with much appreciated simple refreshments. We broke the band down into sections and the kids were able to trade off in smaller groups to have some fun on the super high concrete climbing wall, as well as the the rope course with zip-line. Aside from a briefing on rules, harnesses and helmets, no training was required for the kids for any of these activities because well trained staff was there to assist them every single step of the way (staff even belayed at the climbing wall). And when one tween panicked and fell between the rungs of the rope bridge, she was not left hanging, a quick, calm and efficient rescue was underway in the blink of an eye. A hugely positive experience, most of the kids felt very confident and reached climbing goals. We didn't experience, but certainly saw multiple signs of a full ranch setup as well... the sights and smells of the horses was quite the change of pace from sitting in a Jr. High classroom all day even at a bit of a distance. We dined in the main lodge for lunch. A very cozy atmosphere. Stereotypical summer camp style in many ways, but perhaps almost more luxurious - a glamping dinning hall for sure. Very efficiently laid out was a taco salad bar on the day of our visit, with several choices to assemble together, including vegan and gluten free that everyone enjoyed. Dessert and drinks were also provided. Other amenities that I know of include camp sleeping cabins, an impressive obstacle course, a football field, and an indoor recreation area in the main lodge that had several bouldering/climbing walls. This is a fantastic place for a youth group or a corporate retreat for training and team building. Personally, I'd like to see a few more activities on the menu, but I think it's still interestingly varied, with a phenomenal location. All staff were friendly, professional, and seemed quite well trained. Every spring, they hold a sort of summer kick-off with Family Fun Day, where they open their facility to the public, admission at a very reasonable fee. (I'll post in Yelp's event calendar for 2016's event), so certainly watch out for that if you (or your kids) are the daredevil type who enjoys nature. They also have an event planned for August 27 & 28th, 2016 for their 50th anniversary. Staff alumni are invited to attend - there's an rsvp page set up on their website. A last note, the lodges do display several plaques noting that they are a 'Christian' facility, as well some crosses on display - obviously most people would not have a problem with this, but it's worth noting as some groups might not find it suits their needs.

"An Afternoon With Nonna" was an early…read morebirthday gift from my daughter, and hubby came to get bossed around in the kitchen by me... as usual. Chef Zach got us started on Veal Tonnato, a beautifully seared piece or veal with carrot, celery and onion along with some fresh herbs and white wine. We made a lovely sauce to top the veal with egg yolks, olive oil, capers, parsley, anchovy fillets, tuna (which we skipped), and vinegar. It was perfectly cooked, flavourful and oh so tender! The pasta was agnolotti with escarole and ricotta. Since we've made pasta at home many times, so we basically rocked this out! It was a filled pasta with veg and ricotta, ground chestnuts and herbs. Very veg forward but incredible flavours! We shared our pasta with some lovely young ladies who's dish didn't turn out well (not their fault). The dessert was gnocchi fritti, which is basically a zeppole. Yummy fried yeast dough sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was crispy on the outside and tender in the inside and surprisingly tender! Chef Zach is a great teacher, he had lots of good tips and kept the class moving along at a decent pace. We enjoyed some lovely red wine with our food and while we were cooking which always helps. It was a busy day in the Sorrentino's kitchen with lots of catering going on but the other chefs still had time to answer all my questions about what they were doing. Chef Jeff was very helpful and interesting to talk to! I absolutely adored the cooking class. I LOVED being in their kitchen and chatting with all the chefs!!! Today absolutely validated the cooking skills I have, gave me some new ideas and reignited my inner foodie passion! I'm so ridiculously in love with this place!

Downtown

We were told to show up the usual 10-15 minutes before our booking time to sign the waiver and to…read morepay, but because of the way they operate their business, we actually ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes PAST our booking time. They have this stupid policy where you have to leave a piece of ID, and the staff will go in to the room afterwards to check for damage, hence the delay in play time. (I've played in a lot of the different escape rooms in Vancouver, and this is the first time I've come across this sort of policy). We had a misunderstanding regarding one of their promotions, and the staff were quite rude about it. We did the hostage room, and I was pretty disappointed by the set up. Definitely not as fancy or elaborate as Breakout. Due to the downtown location, there is no free parking unless you come outside the meter hours. I also was not a fan of the sketchy basement location. All in all, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I prefer Breakout by far.

I thought it was a bit weird that they didn't mention that we'd need a group of 8 when we first booked, but suddenly put us together with other people the day of our booking. Because National Security is the hardest room they have, I think it IS good to have more than 4 people, but 8 is far too many (maybe 6 max). There were just too many people and while we were crowded in a circle, trying to read a clue or look at something, there were always like 2 or 3 people who were standing around and not doing anything. We did not complete the room, but it wasn't because we were hurting for people, it was because we ran out of time. 45 minutes is far too short to do this, and just adding more people is not the solution. Also, I really didn't like the cheap-looking basement location. The setup reminded me of a very low-budget elementary school play. The props and clues, while creative, were very cheap and not at all convincing. I feel very ripped off since they charged each person $25 for a group of 8 for 45 minutes, and only got a cheaply-decorated room in a sketchy basement. I would not recommend this place, and I will not be returning.
