Finding a parking spot is just abysmal. I'd much rather find myself in this area on a bicycle. I was recently in the area for a few meetings and lunch and have to say that it isn't my jam. Once you make your way into the food court-ish area, there are some dependable, though lackluster options. I'm not really looking for a Moe's, Starbucks, or other quick-service places......kind of ever. It's busy as junk, too. People come out of the woodwork for lunch and meetings. It's the kind of place that is subservient to the office folk around it. Although, the hustle and bustle of this part of town can be a little intoxicating. Makes you feel like you're in NY crossing the street with a bunch of other business-y types. Pretty gnarly. read more

I read over a few of the reviews and it's mixed, but mostly low for people who visit and use parking. If you're local/live nearby like me you like it, Like another reviewer mentioned "it's a place I visit infrequently, but I'm glad its there". It's home to several restaurants and mainly offices. It's not really a mall, it's more like a food court with offices and a luxury hotel attached - W Hotel. I like it because it has free wifi, so it's an additional place to go and do work in which I don't feel obligated to buy a coffee or drink. It's also a nice place to send people who are intown visiting. I haven't utilized the parking but I know some places like the gym covers parking for up to 2 hours. read more

I discovered this place for myself a month ago. I've been there 3 times. Each time I ordered food from different vendors. Each time there has been something off putting about the food. The first two times it was an obvious lack of skill. My naan pizza and gluten-free hamburger both tasted like I had gotten them from GT cafeteria, the former poor quality ingredients and poorly put together, the latter an insanely overcooked beef patty. Yesterday, I went to the King of Pops and got their soft serve ice cream, which was obviously rancid. It tasted liked moldy, spoiled milk. The attendant agreed, after sampling some himself. Strangely, he asked me if I wanted something else, thinking he was also going to give me a refund. He gave me no refund and only gave me something that cost $2 less than the $6 soft serve. I didn't want to make a scene over $2, which does seem to be the nature of Colony Square businesses. All three businesses I've tried and mentioned have incompetent staff and seem to take everything for granted. They are as spoiled as the food they all serve. This place is a tourist trap and I would avoid buying anything there in the future. read more

This is prob really awesome if you work in the building. But since I don't. it's really not that great.. everything seems to close around 4, and not open during the weekends. I haven't ever been during the day but there are lots of restaurants and little shops there, just haven't ever caught them open. I do go to the gym here. It's nice. read more

Hey, I'm glad this place is here. I work just down the road and wind up eating here a LOT for lunch. After eating here once or twice a week for months on end, the food options do get sort of repetitive and boring, but that's probably on me for going here all the time! My usual spots in here: Blimpies, Moes, and Jaffa Cafe. They've got a JR Crickets in here if I'm there later at night, but I'm not a huge fan of their food. Even if we're going with a big group from work, seems like we can usually find a clean table with enough seats for everyone. read more

Hey, I like the food court here. There are plenty of $6 lunch opportunities here for days I forget to bring mine. The pizza place is killer.

You really cannot go wrong here if you are hungry. Yes, it has some food vendors that will remind you like you are at a food court in a mall in the middle of nowhere. However, there are places like Goldberg's, Moe's, Tin Drum, Blimpie's, CFA, Starbucks, and Holly's cupcakes. Holly's has awesome Hummingbird cupcakes and they take the midtown Alliance card. read more

This place would get another star if it had extended hours for Midtown weekend street-wanderers. I was here this past Saturday afternoon and most places inside were closed (around 3 p.m.). I have been here before early evening on a weeknight and it was a bit livelier. The surrounding restaurants are super popular and those were open when bf and I stumbled upon this mall-like establishment. Since I have been burning through my going-out-to-eat budget recently, I didn't think that Tamarind Seed, Shout!, and South City Kitchen could be justified. We finally found a spot to eat (find my review for GianCarlo's Pizza & Pasta) but there were hardly anyone inside Colony Square. Maybe if this place were open on the weekends, it wouldn't be super busy, as people probably go to Midtown to eat at the other, more expensive alternatives. I had been here maybe last year and do not remember what the place was called, though when I checked the list of dining establishment at Colony Square, none of them seemed familiar. Was there another casual dining place here that has closed? Anyway, probably a decent place to visit during times when there is more foot traffic in the area (i.e., morning till early evening on weekdays, most likely). read more

I was hoping to go shopping there on a Saturday, and literally there was nothing there! What a waste of a space. No restaurants were open, no nothing! it's right next to the W Hotel, and I thought for sure I'd be able to buy a shirt, etc. But NO! And they are correct about the parking which sux! Not only do they charge you 22.00 after 2:50 hrs, but if you accidentally park past 11pm, you start the clock for a second day....For example, you can park there for literally 6 hours and your bill will be 44.00. That is awful. I will never stay at W Hotel again in Atlanta. I'll pick other places like Ga Tech Convention Center that is actually close to real shopping. read more

Do Not Park Inside the Colony Square parking garage. There are no security cameras on the premises to monitor break-ins or crime inside the garage. On 9/6/2020 my car was broken into while parked inside the Colony Square garage while I stayed at The W midtown hotel. The security staff Terry although a little too late on the scene was helpful but once he referred me to management it was a different tone. Dominique was at first concerned but once I asked about checking with security for camera footage she changed her demeanor and tone. No one was empathetic from Dominique to Zack the OM who said it was out of their hands. I asked How so when the security property has the means and decision making power to Install more cameras to monitor the premises. Im sure my car won't be the last to get broken into but I plan to escalate this issue so that some type of light can be shown onto this unsafe, unmonitored garage. Imagine what other incidents have or could take place given the fact people know they can get away with crimes inside this garage. read more

I must say I was a fan of shot, but ever since 5 Church has entered Colony Square I've be impressed the day they opened. They have brought a total different atmosphere to great food and fine dining. Not to mention if your just looking to grab a drink you can access the rooftop bar area that is absolutely breathtaking. On another note the Valet company Colony Square hired or 5 Church brought on has to be the must professional Valet company I've had the pleasure meeting. Knows me by name and help us load our cars after a Christmas Party. I believe they said their name was G5 parking. Anyways I love the addition from the valets to the restaurant. It's convenient , it's nothing special but it's nice it's there. I worked around here and was very happy to have choices to eat lunch and that there is a starbucks! The only thing is, that starbucks...is SLOW.(but VERY sweet staff) so if your in a rush to a.m work shifts, it's busy and your not getting your coffee in a hurry. I was almost late on account of coffee being more important haha. plus their so nice, you don't mind chatting with the baristas. The chick fillet is great, there is one lady who is always smiling and happy, she always made my day. There's a Moe's....but other than that, not much else. The one gift shop is nice , it has a lot, but the owner who's always there is always on his cell, and never says hello, he rings you up while talking on that phone (annoying, I'm not on mine, get off yours). It closes at 8 I believe....though some things close earlier (Moe's and Chick filet are 7). I do like you can sit outside and people watch, things are clean, it's a convenient spot (esp if your staying at the W hotel, or work nearby) Tip for hotel guests , you don't need to buy soda at the lobby bar, the gift shop in colony square sells whatever you need for cheap. same goes for lunch and coffee. The only spot I do not recommend is J.R Crickets, it's dirty and super slow service. avoid that place. to many places around to choose that for lunch or dinner. It doesn't look like much from the outside, you wouldn't expect the big space indoors w/ food options. It's worth checking out if your in the area! Sit outside if the weather is nice. I have worked in midtown at the Woodruff Arts Center for years and always found Colony Sq to be a reasonable place to eat. Good variety of options, moderately priced. However, I've never parked there until this past weekend. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I brought some friends into town to eat a meal (Tamarind Seed) and see a show at the Alliance. I thought it would be convenient and simple to park at Colony Sq and walk over. It should have been easy. In short one of my friends uses a wheelchair. That changed the entire experience. Handicapped parking directions are very poorly marked. Once you enter the garage it's not clear which direction to go to get to handicapped parking. Once there. We could not find the elevator. We encountered three employees and they couldn't direct us either! They kept steering us toward the escalator which is totally unhelpful for someone in a wheelchair. Finally a 'mall cop' found the elevator and directed us toward it. Since it was the weekend they had locked down the elevator so it wouldn't go anywhere. He took us to a 2nd elevator. It would move, but not to the lobby. We ended up on a lower level of the parking garage. Yelled until another employee assisted us by unlocking the lobby level and we were able to get to street level. Another employee had to assist us to make it through the lobby because some of those doors were locked and with the wheel chair we couldn't just exit anywhere, because we encountered stairs. We spent a good 20-25 minutes with this silliness before we got to the restaurant. Tamarind Seed was great. Fast service, too. Colony Square's unintentional message seems to be 'don't come here on the weekend's and definitely don't use us if you have a wheelchair.' While I'm sure the amenities of the building are great the parking is a total racket. I was a guest at the W and was told by the W parking attendants that I could valet at W for $36 or self park at Colony Square for $22 per 24 hour period. I was only in the garage for 18 hours but charged $44 at the unattended kiosk when I left. When I called to challenge the charge I was told that their rates reset every morning at 5:00 a.m. I did walk through the food court on my way to the hotel but on the weekend everything in it was closed so useless to me. parking lot has shameful business practices... they advertised a weekend parking coupon for 'Evenings after 5pm and weekends all day - $5'. I was meeting my fiance near her midtown office with my car packed with our stuff to drive out of town. We left her car at Colony Sq after 6pm on Friday with the plan to use the coupon from Central Parking Atlanta when we returned Sunday afternoon. Our bill was over $20 as she said the coupon was only for 'daytime' during the weekends and we were charged an overnight fee. NOWHERE does it say there is an overnight charge. NOWHERE does it define what 'weekends all day' means... is all day until 1159? is it until sunset? is it until 5pm? WTF. I know its only $20, but I expected more from Colony Square. I've always enjoyed visiting and shopping here, and was happy to find them offering a 'deal' on secure parking. They should be ashamed to be associated with participating in business practices designed to bait people in with coupons to screw them over later. Got me once, shame on you... read more

went there for the first time in Atlanta GA today, I found out that the parking was not specified at the entrance, no sunday rates, just weekdays, well, after getting in the parking lot, taking my baby out in his stroller, using the scalator because there's no working elevator on sundays (as later I was told), a very unpolite attendant at the concierge that just told me "the mall is closed on sundays" I asked, but I came here with my family and parked downstairs, she just replied "that's not my problem" asked for a restroom to change my baby diaper, and believe or not, THERE"S NO RESTROOM AVAILABLE ON SUNDAYS, asked for an elevator to go down to the parking and no, there's no working elevator on sundays. After holding my bay in one hand and the stroller in the other one going down the stairs, went back to my car and the garage attendant charged me $3 for staying 20 minutes in this s***t hole, when I asked why, he just said it's not my problem you pay or you just don't leave!!!! I felt really annoyed, I'll never go back to this crap place, and you, if you're reading this, stay away, there's no tourism culture in any sqft of this rat hole! and yes, I'll be sending a complaint against the parking company!!!
