    Bacon pizza

I can't believe I forgot to review this place. We were here visiting hubby and he suggested this place for lunch. We ordered three pizzas, regular, bacon and sausage. We sat inside which had was pretty large. Outside overlooks the water. The waitress was very friendly and got our drinks right away. The pizza came out pretty quickly. The crust was nice and thin. There is hot oil and one pepper that sits right in the middle called the stinger. I'm not sure the oil adds much but the stinger is spicy. The pizza is crispy, nicely charred on the bottom. The bacon added a nice texture and salt to the pizza. The sausage was ok and my least favorite was the plain stinger pizza. Afterwards you can take a walk along the water walking off all that fat.

I absolutely love colony but the past few times I have been to the Port Chester location I have been disappointed. I like my pizza well done and they never make it well done when I ask. It always comes out very "doughy" and it's very disappointing. Not sure what is going on, but hopefully just a one off because colony is one of my favorite pizza places.

First Time and Won't Be Last - busy this Friday at lunchtime, spacious, great pub/bar scene! (04/07/23)

Five Stars for the uniqueness of CG's Hot Oil Pizzas. Delicious thin crust, great options of toppings. This was my first try and it won't be my last. Here on a Friday for lunch. Fun time had in this busy, spacious, bright, and, modern sports bar and restaurant. Along with a trainee, our server was very nice; yet hard to find once our table's order was taken. While our table's pizzas arrived quickly, it took us asking 3x before we got our beers and sodas to the table. CHEERS!

Salad pizza and the onion pie that we dug into too quickly

We stop into various locations of Colony Grill a few times a year on the commute between NY and VT. The Port Chester location was excellent today. Food: Salad pizza with hot oil and an onion pie. I wish more places had the option to just throw a salad on top of pizza. There's an alchemy that happens when combining the hot, cheesy pizza and spicy hot oil with the cool crunch of salad. The onion pie was the best version of itself. Service: We sat at the bar so that we could watch football. Even though the Jets and the Giants were playing at the time, the bartender did us a solid and put the Patriots game on the screen near us. He was attentive, helpful and friendly. Really easy atmosphere.

Came to Colony Grill to catch up with a friend from high school. Lots of parking in the front of the restaurant. Inside, there is a strong patriotic theme with lots of photos of service folks. Menu is kind of limited to pizza. Food came out pretty quickly after putting in our order. Pizzas are thin crust. I really enjoyed all three kinds we got. The hot oil pizza is not for the faint of heart, as it lives up to its name.

Terrible. Thin. Small. No cheese. This was the worst pizza I have had in Port Chester so far. Avoid like the plague.

Pizza and a full bar. The crust is thin. Flavorful taste. Add on toppings and special ones added different times of year.

Well I ordered the eggplant Parmesan, rice balls, and spaghetti with meatballs. The eggplant was bland overly cheesy, the ziti that came along was very chewy, the rice balls were strange. The rice seemed like it was not rice and also very cheesy . As for the spaghetti with meatballs, the meatballs also were bland. Not sure but my guess is they were a pork beef blend. The texture was something that was more pureed than mixed. Can't see a return visit.

I have been waiting to try this place for a minute because I grew up in Chicago and love pan pizza. But I was so disappointed, not in the pizza, but in the wait staff. I went on 4/21/26 around 3pm and I was the only person in the restaurant besides the waitress. From the moment I entered the facility until the moment I left the as glued to her phone. So much so that she got my pizza order wrong and brought out a mushroom, green pepper and onion pizza when I hate mushrooms and don't even allow the word to come out of my mouth. When I brought it to her attention she took it back and put in my correct order. Right before the second pizza arrived I had to remind her that I had ordered a Mediterranean salad. She quickly went to the back to get it. When it came there were no tomatoes on the salad which, according to their menu, should have been on the salad. The pizza was decent; it had a light pan pizza style crust but I wouldn't make a special trip out of my way to go there. Also, as it pertains to ambiance and atmosphere, the volume on the television in the bar area where I sat was set to 40 or 50. It was so loud I couldn't hear myself talk on the phone. And everyone the business phone rang, the waitress would go into the dining room to answer the phone because it was too loud for her to hear herself talk too. Eventually, after about 30 minutes, the waitress had an epiphany and turned the volume down. Finally, I want to say that the waitress's demeanor was off putting and made me feel some type of way but that's for another day.
