I've been going to Ferrell's Auto Repair for seven years straight, and that should tell you how…read moremuch I trust these guys. Up until recently, I'd never even broken down in my car. But then last month, it happened twice in three weeks--first time was my old radiator finally giving out, and the second time was a brake issue. Both times were terrible timing, and I really needed my car back fast. Even without an appointment, they fit me in, got the parts quickly, and had me back on the road way faster than I expected. That kind of service under pressure is rare. I was so grateful that they understood the predicament I was in and they, as per usual, took great care of me. Bottom line: I've always felt totally comfortable with the work they do, and it's always a pleasure dealing with everyone there. Ferrell's is the real deal. I greatly appreciate them and their work as well as their work ethics. J Lynn

I called in a panic with only about 45 minutes before I absolutely had to leave and asked if there was any chance they could work a miracle. They got my Jeep in immediately, diagnosed the issue as worn spark plugs, completed the repair, and had me back on the road in time. They truly saved the entire weekend. On top of the incredible service, everyone was so kind, reassuring, and personable during what could have been a really stressful situation. A huge thank you to Jesse and Nancy for going above and beyond. I can't recommend them enough!

Stopped in to see if they could help me at all- he wrote down the codes and even informed me that my vehicles make and model had a "campaign" for the specific issue as so many of us had this issue!! He quoted me for that specific issue & even quoted me for a battery because thats also going to need replaced. His quotes are also significantly more lower priced than the dealership itself. Highly highly recommend & will be telling everyone I know to take their vehicles there!!

Always dependable in the past, I thought it was roadworthy for a trip from LA to Paso Robles. It was around 90 degrees. Around Arvin, I got a check engine light. When I popped the hood, there was literally an inch high strip of engine fluid left! A good samaratin helped me fill it, and I was able to get to Paso for the night. I was checking out dealerships in Bakersfield, but my friends recommended Dan. Dan squeezed me in the next morning, replaced the engine coolant tank, pressure tested the hoses, and drove it at least 30 miles for testing. The charge was reasonable considering the work they did on it. Dan couldn't find out why I'd lost the engine fluid, but he assured me the car was safe for the drive back. My friends told me to "trust Dan". The car's been running fine ever since.

If I could give Craig and his guys 10 stars, I would. This is the best auto shop in SLO County…read more Craig is very straightforward, honest, beyond knowledgeable, and has never overcharged me a single penny. He fixes it right, the first time, every time. I discovered Craig's shop years ago when I needed a smog. That was it. I have never had anyone else even LOOK at my vehicles since then. I've called him with the stupidest crap several times, and he patiently explains and tells me to come to the shop. Like right now. He drops everything to throw a code reader on my car, or test drive it to make sure everything is normal. Or like today.... My alternator goes out yesterday. I get a jump and call Craig. This man is booked, solid. I mean to the gills and beyond. Know what he says to me? "Bring it in, 9am tomorrow. I'll fit it in." I show up, 9am on the dot. He has 4 customers ahead of me already. Racks full. I'm marvelling at the fact he told me to bring the car down at all. "It won't be done until sometime after lunch" Craig says rather apologetically... Did he forget he's doing me a huge favor? Pfffttt... "Just give me a call Craig. You're the best!" Then he says something that I thought about for a good while.... "Don't tell anybody, you'll ruin my reputation!" Definitely a joke cuz, c'mon, this man is the best. So.... I'm telling EVERYBODY Craig!!! Craig is your mechanic. Every time. Don't think about it. Call this man.

I needed a Smog certificate, so I started looking for a garage in town…read more I checked Yelp and sure enough I found a couple of places...Now like most of my reviews I was aware of this garage and I'd been by it a hundred times, they were always busy. Certainly the sign of a good place whether it's a restaurant, car repair or a bar. I linked onto the site and followed along until I found the spot to make a reservation. Now the question was asked "leave car" or I'll wait". I chose leave the car and no reservations were available for a few days so...I backed up and chose I'll wait an available times popped up for tomorrow... Okay tomorrow 9:45 that would work. I arrived for my appointment a bit early, Jaedon was in the office and he logged the car in and said he'd call when it was ready, cool. So I left to do my work out and walk and a couple hours later I saw the missed call and a text to pick up my car, wow. Now he had told me the service fee and I thought that was a bit high and yes that price included the smog certificate. Once I was back in the office, (they have a great little waiting room just behind the shop) Jaedon reviewed the inspection they had done on the car and the washed my car too. A good shop will wash your car, that was cool. Everything was in good order, the car passed the smog test. I ordered the filters and wiper blades that needed replacement from the big A and saved a couple bucks. I was very pleased with the service and easefulness at Wimmers, you earned another happy customer. Foodguy - Martin

WOW!! My car has…read morehad trouble starting for the past several months intermittently; we replaced the alternator, battery, terminal... caps? whatever holds it in place. And never a solution that lasted very long. We kept wondering if it was the starter, and our suspicions were confirmed after my car had issues starting again this morning. We were turned away from a different shop, but a quick call confirmed that Wimmer's could help us out. We arrived around 12:45 and ended up picking our car up at about 5pm - they were able to switch out the starter and complete an oil change, they even gave me a complimentary exterior wash! Altogether it ended up around $900 including the diagnostic and the VERY thorough multipoint inspection. I'm so appreciative of the whole team, they really hustled to make sure that we could have our car back before they closed and it truly means so much.
