Twin pork chops, mac and cheese, green beans
    Brandie W.

Holy smokes. Why I haven't eaten here for dinner before, I'm not sure. I already knew their breakfast was awesome, and I should've known their dinner would be equally as amazing. I ordered our food to go- twin pork chops, mac and cheese and green beans..and also- hamburger steak and gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans (which I didn't catch a photo of before it was completely consumed by my other half..lol). The pork chops were perfectly seasoned, no hot sauce needed, and the mac was well salted, no need for additional S&P. His meal was also tasty, being as he went to town on it the second I walked in the door..haha When I need a good comfort food meal, this will be my go to from now on. I cannot recommend this place ENOUGH! 10/10.

Yum! Excellent catfish, veggies, and coffee! A real down home meal! Good music, famous artwork, and a comfortable atmosphere. Great for both, out-of-towners like me, and locals! And the strawberry shortcake amazing!!!

My family and I have breakfast every other weekend (sometimes every weekend) here, and we love it! Mrs. Pat and Mrs. Sheila makes us feel welcome and at home! The food is top-notch every visit and the atmosphere is peaceful! Thank you, Mrs. Keatts and family! - DesignzByDavis Photography & Family

We were visiting Virginia for the weekend and stopped by this restaurant late Sunday morning/afternoon. It was pretty busy, but they got us seated right away (4 top) since it is such a large restaurant with lots of tables. The only complaint I have about the food is that we had some bad cucumbers in our salad, but other than that everything was good. No complaints about the service. This place is pretty average, nothing really stood out to me other than the eye catching/intriguing look of the place when you drive by which is what made us stop. I would go back to this restaurant if I was in the area, but it wouldn't be on my list of places I have to go if I came back.

Loveeeeeee! This place is great! Right off the main road, & most definitely worth a stop!!! The decor is too fun, it's nice & clean,& the meals are very affordable. I got the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, & rice pudding.. all for $13! & you can get a dessert as a side?! Oh yeah!!! I will say though I wasn't impressed with the mashed potatoes, I tried a bite of the macaroni & it's way better though. Also the service was really fast. So all in all you gotta check it out if you're nearby.

The food....(11/10) HOLY CRAP THIS IS HEAVENLY FOOD. The service...(9/10) The waitress was very nice and food came out shockingly fast. Ambiance/vibe...(8/10) I liked the many televisions but it's just a normal country bar setting. Final rating... 9.5/10

Food and service were excellent. I had the chicken tenders and really enjoyed them. Not over cooked and we're very juicy. My wife had the fish & chips and raved about how good they were. Good home cooked food. If you're in the area, it's a must to stop in!!

Stopped for a late lunch. Beyond pleased. Delicious and quickly made. Ribeye sandwiches were cooked perfectly to order. Bison burger was wonderful. Service was great. Looking forward to coming back many many more times.

I have to say that the pancakes are some of the best I've ever eaten. They are so sweet and yummy goodness. You don't even need syrup to put on then just some butter. But all the food here is great and the service is in town. I love coming here when I come to visit my family try to get there a few times to eat. They have a bunch of regular elders from the area and are quite used to not serving them bigger portions, I guess. Either that or they are looking out for everyone's health by serving the smaller rations, if so, maybe they oughta reduce the prices to match what you get on your plate. But then greedy folks these days wouldn't do such a thing such as charging you fair price for what they're serving you. They make good coffee and tea, and have reserved motorcycle parking.

Upscale without being stiff, comfortable without losing that polished feel. I ordered the jambalaya, and it was a standout. Well layered flavor, not overly heavy, with a nice balance of spice and richness. The proteins were cooked properly and the vegetables still had structure, which matters in a dish like that. It felt intentional, not just thrown together for a brunch menu. Across the table, the Eggs Benedict was equally strong. The hollandaise was smooth and properly seasoned, not overly lemony or thick, and the eggs were cooked right where they should be. That is often where places miss, but this one didn't. Dessert was where things really elevated. The strawberry cheesecake was clean, bright, and not overly sweet, with a good texture that held together without being dense. The chocolate Rasberry glutin-free dessert torte, was rich in the right way. Deep chocolate flavor without crossing into heavy or overwhelming. Service was attentive without hovering, and timing between courses was well paced, which is not easy on a busy holiday like Easter. Overall, this is a place that clearly pays attention to execution. Not just presentation, but flavor, balance, and consistency. That is what separates a good brunch from one you remember. We will be back.

The manager i had to speak to was very professional and apologetic for the issue we had. She offered to move us, give us a free dessert, she was trying to rectify a situation the hostess had caused. She did offer a discount on the bill which was appreciated but honestly I only voiced my complaint so hopefully it doesnt happen again. Now to the issue and the negative - the hostess sat us (me and my husband) at a table. No one around us then immediately put 3 tables together and we overheard they were sitting 15 people there. None of those 15 had inside voices and were extremely loud the entire time. We finally had to box our food up and leave. We had asked to be moved but honestly itd gotten to the point we were just annoyed that grown adults would be so loud and disrespectful in a nice restaurant. If your goal is to be drunk and loud go to bdubs or I dunno stay home so you dont ruin other people's dinner out. Overall we enjoyed the food and the staff aside from the hostess were great. We wont let this stop us from visiting again and will definitely speak up faster next time if put in a situation like that.

The rooms were perfectly clean, and lovingly furnished, each one different in size and looks. But we heard and smelled the kitchen under our beautiful room with the red wallpaper. If you do not like train sounds , better do not take this room but take a room overlooking the front of the house with its impressing, well taken care of oak tree. Also, be aware that the mattress in the red room is very soft. The overnight price was fine, but all the extras chosen by us, like food, wine, and flowers were rather pricey. We would like to return to this friendly BnB - but would choose a firmer mattress - we are sure the charming owners could help us choose!
