We all still need some urban green space to roam on this planet. Not sure I'd wander around in bare feet since unsavory people have been know to consume drugs in the park but it's great to grab your lunch at nearby Calozzi's Cheesesteaks and gobble it up on a sunny day. The giant red hat & monstrous pair of boots use to belong to a local gas station that closed decades ago.. Cool gimmick for getting you to gas up, yet now will stand the test of time at OXBOW PARK for all to enjoy..

This park is very, very small and you basically only come here for the sculptures....unless you live in the area in which case there's a small p-patch for the local community. Not exactly worth a special drive BUT the neighborhood itself is lovely! Lots of historical homes with really interesting architecture!

That's the moorage itself. Don't expect to pack a picnic with a view of the water. That doesn't mean Leschi Park is anything to sneeze at. It's sizable with a portion that is well manicured and good for a picnic. There are several benches in this area and some portions are shady. When we went, the rose hedges were blooming and quite pretty. There's also a sequoia that was dedicated to the head gardener from 65 years ago. There are a few tennis courts too. The parts that I like more are the trails that have a forest vibe. Leschi Park is adjacent to Frink Park; together, they form a very large area to explore. I didn't find much signs or maps so I just used Google maps to choose walking paths. Cell signal was solid inside both parks. On a hot day, these two tree filled parks provide lots of shade; they would be an excellent place to visit.

Leschi Park is small, and most who visit are here for the views, as it's off of Lake Washington, so you can see the eastside and I-90. There's a small covered seating area and a dock for boaters. It's cool that there are a few restaurants and businesses nearby, as well as a parking lot. It's walking distance to the residential area and the Madrona neighborhood. If you're looking to access the water, I would recommend the short walk up north along the trail to Madrona Beach Park, which is larger and is more popular. However, Leschi Park is here for when you want more of a private, quiet scene, just for the views. Not a bad spot at all.

There was a festival, and that's what I like from here. It is vibrant with different kinds of festivals. The view is spectacular and has a little less people than upstairs. I like that they have built it outdoor games/activities to enjoy. I'm sure the little ones will appreciate this feature. The beer garden and dj was also a really nice touch. I hope they do more beer garden activities soon. One downside I found is there isn't much seating. I wanted to bring lunch and hang for a bit but after 20 minutes of waiting we just couldn't lock down a table fast enough. Also when I came for the block party I found the same situation but worse. One thing that would help, more food trucks, even if they are just near the entrance.

The park offers a beautiful view of Magnolia, Ballard, and the Fisherman's terminal. It's a wide open space, perfect for star gazing. The art at the park includes a sun dial, cement orbs, and the entrance is paved with a design of moon phases. We found wild dill, and rose hips in the park.

Happy National Public Lands Day! Terminal 18 Park is a public park run/managed through the Port of…read moreSeattle. There is a parking lot if you choose to drive to this location. I walked here via the Duwamish Trail, West Seattle Trail on the Spokane Street Bridge, and the sidewalk along Klickitat Avenue Southwest. Just off to the side of the parking lot a trail leads down to the Duwamish River's edge. I saw once person walk that way with a fishing pole one morning. Paved walkways through the park provide access to picnic areas of both the uncovered and covered kind. Metal awnings covering picnic areas are painted, one even has a T 18 on it for Terminal 18 (Park) which I love. I came here two mornings earlier this month and was thoroughly impressed with the variety of birds I saw here, including osprey. On top of the diverse birds in the area there was a breadth of different wildflowers and vegetation lining the water and the walkways. Quiet place to sit and watch the traffic on the water, take in the beautiful views of the West Seattle Bridge and Spokane Street Bridge, and do some bird watching. A gem of a park on Harbor Island in the Port of Seattle to come and visit and enjoy the beauty of the Port. Enjoy public lands like Terminal 18 Park today and any day you can!

I wanted to go to see/visit Troll at Point Robinson Park, this troll photo popped up on Seattle's…read moreYelp activity page and it was giving me hints that I must visit before I leave, hehe. 3.21.2026- On the day of our visit, I asked my wonderful hubby to add Point Robinson Park to our schedule, on the drive there it states one hour, funny, not knowing we have to take a ferry to get there. As we got closer the map had all water, hehe. What a nice spontaneous surprise, we decided to do take the Fauntleroy Ferry to Vashon Island. ( will do a review the Ferry after). Who doesn't love the Ferry?! After we got to Vashon Island, it was about a 20 min scenic drive to Point Robinson Park, So happy we are here! Keep in mind the park gates closes at dawn, I was worried about being stuck there and we arrive close to dawn. Plenty parking, very nice park with lighthouse, beach, trails and picnic area. First things first, lets look for the troll, which his name is Oscar the bird king, made by Thomas Dambo. Thomas Dambo is an artist based in Denmark, Thomas makes sculptures out of recycled materials. This sculpture is part of series of six site specific installations called Northwest trolls. I need to find the other 4 during my future visits to PNW. Wow, super cool to see and visit Oscar the troll in real life, a little scary but so interesting. Thomas is super creative and got skills. Oscar is huge in real life, hehe. We took our photos, observed the artistic skills, greeted him with Shaka, then after that we went to explore the rest of Robinson Park. Trail, beach and we finally got to the lighthouse, another reason to visit. There's a lighthouse tour during mid May-September, which I would love to learn more about. All in all, What a great day to make it a great day here, trolling Point Robinson Park, LOVED every moment!

The views were…read moreincredible, but what made the experience more special was how knowledgeable the staff and volunteers were in explaining the sea life. A volunteer named Santiago shared many interesting facts about starfish, eelgrass, and crabs. He also told us about the whale that had recently washed ashore and was being kept at the art museum, which was very cool to witness.

There's not many amenities other than some art, trash receptacles, and park benches (so no playground or bathrooms), but it's nice place to stroll through or sit down and enjoy ice cream from near by Molly Moon's or a sandwich from PCC. During the summer, the Columbia City Farmers Market, SEEDArt Summer Series, and Honk! Fest West use this space to hold their events, so this place can get quite busy. I did notice that parking appears to be limited to street parking, so good thing that this park is within walking distance from the 1 line light rail station (just a couple minutes walk).

This park definitely isn't a destination, but if you're already here it's a nice place to get some fresh air. The library borders the park so it can be nice to do both if you're in the area.
