We were here last night for dinner and were immediately charmed by the atmosphere. It's dimly light with mismatched tables and chairs and a music at perfect volume: not too loud so good for conversation but great background. Upon being seated, we got a complimentary taste of the house's delicious onion and cheese tortilla. I ordered the ensalada de gambas for €6.50 (like I said in the title, expensive for tapas) and it was a beautifully presented round tower of salad with a delicious sesame dressing and guacamole and shrimp sprinkled throughout (also maybe anchovies but couldn't tell so just avoided them). I also got the tomato and aubergine tart with goat cheese inside, also at €6.50, which looked like smoked salmon pieces in a mound. But this was actually peeled tomato with the aubergine and goat cheese inside. It was quite tasty. My husband got the mollejas at €10 and whilst very pricey IMO, he loved them and said the flavour was spot on and they weren't too fatty. We were also served two shots of complimentary almond liquor with our bill. Lucía, our server, spoke fluent English for my husband's sake and the menus are also in English. She was also quite cheery despite the service being typically Spanish hit or miss. Overall, we were quite pleased with our food here. read more
