    Bomba €2.80

What a nice spot for dinner near the Barceloneta beach! We made reservations on their website but got there 30 minutes late. They were still able to seat us. It's quite tight inside, with tables less than a foot away, but I think that's part of the experience. Servers were wearing masks. I got a taxi ride here from La Rambla area for less than $7/€6. There were some street parking spots but very coveted. *CASH ONLY* establishment and we were notified at the door. Before you enter, check out the menu by the entrance. They actually have no menu, except for the small list by the kitchen. This was the toughest part, trying to figure out what to order. We ended up going off of photos posted on TripAdvisor. (They had high ratings on TripAdvisor, which is how we found this place.) They offer beer, wine, and sangria. I didn't know the prices for anything, which might seem like a red flag for some people. Who knows what they would charge us when the bill came. I had the bomba, which I highly recommend. The croquette was absolutely delicious. I think one order is shareable between two people just to try. The pescadito frito (fried anchovy) was very salty. They served it with a slice of lemon. I had to wash it down with a lot of water. The calamares a la andaluza (fried calamari rings) was very salty as well. The calamari itself was great and very tender. Lastly I had the steamed mussels, which is something I'd come back for. The tomato-based soup was delicious! Service was great. The servers spoke some English. The lady was nice enough to explain some of the food they served. They were busy during a Saturday night.

This tiny magical place is perked behind a busy beach street but shines on it's own. The service is A1. We flew in from NYC with our toddler so we asked a lot of questions about the menu. The waitress answered every one with no issues. We felt super welcome - something we found to be rare in Barcelona if you're American. Food: Get the squid ink croquetas! And the potato balls! And the pan con tomate! And the fish! And some wine! Everything was delicious. Even our toddler ate everything up. Will definitely come back each time we visit BCO.

    Paella

Paella was okay. Also felt it was overpriced. Almost €50 for two. Not sure if that is the norm or not. We also waited 20-30 minutes for our paella when we had a reservation for it weeks in advance. We even told them the time we're going to be there. They didn't make it until we got there. Might be better if we go back during the day to try the tapas. The pictures looked amazing for those!

Great potato Croquette, bit of a kick

Solid 3.5. Definitely overhyped on the 'other' website that says in Top 100, but the potato croquette, chorizo, deep fried squid were tasty but bravas fries, razor clams n escargots just ok. Great red sangria for sure. A bit into the side streets off the main road. Good service n excellent English. Casual bar feel.

The foie gras was absolutely unforgettable--rich, delicate, and simply to die for. The sangria was equally exceptional, fresh, balanced, and dangerously delicious. But what makes this place truly special is something that can't be captured on a menu. The atmosphere, the warmth, the way time seems to slow down... words simply can't do it justice. If you're visiting Barcelona, don't just come here for dinner. Come here to fall in love with the food, the city, the moment, or maybe even someone sitting across the table. An experience I'll never forget.

Well, the restaurant was cute and cozy with a great ambiance. With luck on our side, we found two seats at the bar and quickly ordered drinks. We ordered a pitcher of the sangria (because why not?). The sangria was delicious, refreshing, and made to order. It was definitely more authentic than what we're getting in America. We ordered the patatas bravas, tempura asparagus, the octopus, and the steak. It all came out as it became available. We couldn't decide what our favorite was, to be honest. We ordered an ice cream sandwich for dessert and quickly requested our bill. We didn't want to hold the staff up as we noticed they were cleaning the establishment and people were finishing up. Overall, what a great experience for our first meal in Barcelona! Cute and hidden gem.

Kinda wished it was just me and the wife ;) The bruschetta appetizer (and later the margherita pizza) were prepped in front of us by a lady working behind the counter in the open area next to seating. She chopped up a tomato, seasoned with olive oil and mint and put it on top and sent it out. It tasted amazing. Everything was fantastic in fact, fresh and on point. Service was great.
