I had a horrible experience trying to get Help My Headlights to come to me for headlight repair. It never took place, but I did get a refund through Amazon Local so I decided to see if they had any other headlight repair options. That is how I found BumperDoc. I had to drive way out of my way from Eastlake but it was well worth it. In about an hour my headlights went from sorta cloudly on the driver side and extremely cloudy on the passenger side to both headlights looking completely clean and clear! I now wish I had taken pictures to show before and after. My car looks several years younger, like the lights are brand new! It is nothing short of miraculous. I didn't tell them that I had actually tried to repair the passenger side myself and may have made it worse in the process. Obviously it didn't matter, but I say this to all those who are considering repairing their headlights themselves. I have a factory Matte finish paint job, had an issue with the grill and the dealership warrantied the replacement. They said they needed time to "match" the paint, 8 days later I get the car back and from 100 feet away could see the paint "Match" wasn't even close. The dealer's service advisor asked me didn't the salesman tell me that this type of finish couldn't be matched and the only way to remedy the situation was to PAINT THE ENTIRE CAR!!!!! This place was very highly recommended but It's a little unsettling dealing with this place. This is my second time here after the tint on my car was improperly applied. The entire tint job has to be redone, and again I have take another Saturday to drop my car off. This time they had my car for 7 hours and I'm left without a ride to do necessary errands. What do you know.. the tint job is messed up again. I've spent over $60 in Uber's back and forth while they've worked on my car, and been stuck without transportation for two Saturdays. I asked if they would compensate for all the re-do work and the only thing I was told is to bring it in and they'll squeeze it into the workload they already have. If it took them 7 hours to do it the first time, how are they going to squeeze my car into another day with other cars as well? The problem is they don't have a closed section for tinting and the open garage they do body work in is next to the tinting operation. It's not only bubbles, but actual dirt. Amazing job! I brought in my 2013 g37 sedan with a large dent on the front bumper. Brandon assisted me and gave me every possible solution and the prices for each. I decided to have them repair the bumper their way but when I returned the next day, I noticed a crack in the fog light mesh that was not repairable. No problem, brandon tells me that he can order a new aftermarket bumper for me and have it painted in a day. I was initially concerned about the fitment of the bumper because it is not OEM. The bumper fit perfectly and it looked great after the job was done. Througout the whole process, Brandon was never impatient with me and my MANY questions concerning the car. He took care of it like his own when I left the car at the shop and was returned to me in even better condition. After being rear ended I needed to find an automobile repair shop to fix my bumper. I brought my car to BumperDoc based on their outstanding Yelp reviews. I originally brought my car by on a Saturday and Eddie looked at it and said they could definitely help me l, but since I didn't have an appt and they were extremely busy that day he said I could just bring it by anytime during the week with no appt when it was convenient. I brought my car back Tuesday and the GM, Phil, helped me. Since the at fault drivers insurance was paying Phil said he would take care of submitting the supplemental for the difference between the insurance quote and actual quote and that I would only be responsible for what the insurance had quoted and sent me a check for. After contacting the at fault drivers insurance and getting approval they proceeded with the repair and my car was done by Saturday. They did an excellent job repairing the bumper and matching the paint! The process was also easy and stress free since they handled everything with the at fault drivers insurance! My car had terrible rust damage on the roof which I had not noticed because I am too short to see the roof. Eddy, the manager, was so helpful during the initial phase, explaining what needed to be done and their process. He negotiated a great price. I scraped the driver's side of my Toyota 4Runner against a column in a parking lot that was in my blind spot. Ended up doing quite a bit of damage to the front quarter panel, running boards, and door. Fortunately, Eddie was able to get me in pretty quickly and even set me up with a loaner for the time they had my truck, at no additional cost. The repair looked great- just like new and he even knocked the price down by a couple hundred bucks from the estimate. I know for fact this guy gives the best prices on body work around because I shopped other body shops. Try getting all that and a free loaner from another shop- ain't gonna happen. read more

I have a mixed feeling about this place, but I don't think I'll come back. I had really hoped to love this place and I can tell that Phil and the other staff members are nice people. They are are also very friendly to talk to (when you can get hold of them) and gives you fair quote. Summary: However, I think this shop seems really understaffed for what they try to deliver and it shows in their attention to detail both in quality of work and communication. I had to make multiple trips ever after the car was "finished" wasting my time, and they never keep promises about calling/texting you. Part of this unfortunateness resulted from Phil not letting me know the car is finished (missing a part and he acknowledged he realized the morning of I came to pick up the car-- but he still didn't call me). The quality of work is also not the best in the town, but the price point is on the tad lower side. The communication was also pretty frustrating and I felt that Phil would say yes to everything I ask nicely and not deliver. I had to very assertive, use strong language, and ask multiple times to get what Id like which is unfortunate. MISCOMMUNICATION AND FRUSTRATION: For example, I specifically asked the shop to contact me if there would be any delays in the fix (from the estimated days, which was 10 days), but I never received that text. I did receive texts about the progress on schedule, but I started hearing nothing when the promised completion date approached. I had to make a call to find out the progress which I had to do three times (three delays). Each time I asked when the car would be done, and to text me the approximate completion date, so I can avoid calling again. This never happened, so I had to call three times. Whenever I made a call, i was promptly greeted but immediately asked to be on hold forever, so I eventually just learned to just quickly ask about my situation before they ask "can you be on hold". Even after the job was "finished", when I came to check out the car, it was in fact not since it was missing a part. He didn't even mention about the missing part until I pointed out, and he said he realized that he forgot about it and he needs to order the part. At this point I felt manipulated that Phil didn't call me despite actually knowing about the issue before I came to pick up the car. He told me that the part will arrive in TWO days and again I asked him to contact me when the part arrives. I had a bad feeling that he wouldn't, and he didn't. I had to call and ask him (in fact the part did not arrive in two days). Second trip: I brought my car and the part was installed. (The visit took a lot longer than I expected since the shop is really understaffed although the installation itself took 5 minutes). The installed part started coming loose in FIVE days, so I had to call the shop again and go through the same process as above and make a THIRD trip. During my third visit, there was no one at the shop, so I anticipated the work to be done very quickly. However another customer arrived and I was obviously not the priority. Fortunately, the story now ends and I didn't have to go back after the third trip. However, I feel like my time and energy was unjustfuly wasted. QUALITY OF WORK: I can tell that the finish of the paint work is definitely not as good as the one that I got before at a different shop in Kearney Mesa. Under the light, I can see so many streaks in different directions in various layers. However I have to mention that this shop's price point is lower. read more

Dinging these guy one star due to lack of inspection of car when released to customer. Last three times I've gotten home with one of my mudflats unattached and in the back seat, missing screws and today white powder all over the hood, floor mats and door sill plus the wheels. Same good product but they need someone smarter than a technician to sign off that the car is in the same clean shape when it came in. As stated in previous reviews their prices offer good value but have gone up. For what they charge they could at least make sure the car looks good all over--not just the spot where they worked. P.S. I am so happy I took my car in for a fender repair and a complete in and out detail. My 2007 Toyota Yaris had all the scratches removed, small dents removed...Looks like a brand new car! I'm being very careful where I park it now so that I don't have car doors hitting it. I went down a block and bought new hubcaps to have BumperDoc put those on for me. (They suggested I buy them myself and save money.) Best of all I expected to leave the car overnight and it was finished at 6 pm when they started at 10! Amazing guys and they deserve all the business they can get. Phil, one of the managers, can keep plates spinning all day -- two calls on hold, customers at the counter, take a look at a car outside, and back to the phone all while ringing up my bill. Before you get any kind of auto-body repair done, check these guys out! I was being quoted over $1000 at a new car dealer for a bumper repair at a major new car dealership and then my Allstate agent recommended BumperDoc. I was greeted by Phillip Felix (Assistant Manager) and was told I didn't need to have any major parts replaced or have to obtain a paint job. The end result was done in less than 2 hours for only $175!! The new car dealership was going to replace the bumper, wheel well and bottom bracket as well as paint the new bumper and I had to leave my HHR with them for 3 days. Additional tip for HHR owners--do not park your front bumper over a curb exceeding 5 inches in height or you may find you bumper separating from the body as I did. BumperDocs also does Paintless Dent Repair, Chipped windshields, and Auto-body repair--prices are posted on the wall (very rare in the Auto Repair industry).
