Bald-Faced Lies (Just Another Used Car Dealer)…read more I wasted half of a day visiting Mass Auto World to see a car which had been completely misrepresented by a salesman there. Car sounded great and looked great on paper but turned out to be a beat-up rust bucket. The salesman told me before I visited that the car had no rust, when it actually had serious rust damage including frame rot. It seems that their goal is to manipulate potential customers into visiting even if that involves lying. Apparently they want bodies on the lot because some of them will bite. Of course the cost to the customer of their lies does not matter. Buyer beware. My experience is consistent with what others describe in these reviews (at least the real ones). For details, read on. I am a fan of second generation Honda CR-V's and found an interesting one (2006 Honda CR-V EX (VIN JHLRD77806C041450)) at Mass Auto World via Carfax: https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/JHLRD77806C041450 I called and spoke with a salesman who identified himself as Nick. He gained my trust by stating that he was a fellow veteran. I told Nick that I was over an hour away so needed to make sure it was a good car before I made the trip to look at it. I asked if the car had any damage other than minor scratches and dings (which would be expected on a 15-year old car). He said that it did not. I asked if the car had any rust. He said it had NO rust on the body. I specifically asked about rust underneath, and he specifically said there was NO rust. I told Nick that based on his description, I should see the car. Again, he knew I would be coming from over an hour away. After a 90 minute trip through some awful Boston traffic, I arrived at Mass Auto World. And I immediately realized that Nick had badly misrepresented the car. First, the hood of the car was deformed in a way that looked like it had been pushed in from the front and had buckled. The front of the hood on the left sat high, and the rear sat low. Recall that Nick told me there was no body damage other than minor scratches and dings. But that was trivial compared to what I found next. Continuing my walk-around, I realized that Nick had blatantly lied to me about rust on the car. First I saw that the right rear door had rust bubbling under the paint, indicating rot underneath. Then I looked under the rear of the car (see the first attached image). The rear subframe, stabilizer bar, and lower arms were badly rusted, if not rotted. The second image shows frame rot under the front of the car. And the third image shows the rotted right pinch seam (top) and a rotted unibody rail. The pinch seam was so rotted that it literally disintegrated between two of my fingers. This is particularly troubling because it indicates that soon it will be unsafe to jack up the car as specified by Honda, and soon the car will not be able to pass inspection due to loss of structural integrity (I've been there). Nick was happy to let me drive over an hour to Mass Auto World based on lies. Interestingly, he did not come out to talk with me when I arrived. He knew exactly when I would be there because I called just before I left to make sure the car was still available. And one of his coworkers walked right past me in the lot when I was the only customer there. I think that once they saw me looking under the car, they knew very well that speaking with me would not have been pleasant or profitable. I had to rearrange my entire day to make this visit happen. Even worse, it wasted over 4 hours of my time. So now comes the obligatory "We're so sorry you had a negative experience...we're trying to improve our processes...Here's a Dunkin gift car to cover your gas." I'm not interested. Instead, I would like to know from the owner: Do you employ a "reputation management" company which provides fake online reviews? Do you encourage your employees or anyone else to post fake reviews? Have you ever responded to a fake review as if it was real?

Stay as far away from them as possible. They have the worst customer service in the history of the world. Borderline criminal practices. I echo other reviewers saying they felt treated "less than" and receiving minimal almost one word replies to inquiries, or no reply at all! They sold me a car withholding it was missing a part that caused it to immediately fail inspection, then they stalled for the duration of the warranty to do the quick fix, then 30 days after the easy fix the car majorly failed in relation to that part and they kept the car for 5 weeks. The Lemon Law didn't work b/c technically the problem happened 1 day after the 90 day warranty period, but had they not deliberately delayed for the initial 60 days, the failure would have been within warranty period. And then they lied under oath during arbitration. There are no words to describe how base their people skills and values are. One cannot fathom a company in this transparent day and age operating so conspicuously poorly and staying in business! Do yourself a favor, go next door to McLaughlin Cheverolet, they are really nice people!! Or literally shop anywhere but w this company.

The salesperson was pleasant enough but there was no negotiation room at all it was their way or the highway. They did however try to get me to purchase an extremely expensive - actually 2,200- extended warranty policy that they probably make 50% on rather than stand behind their products. I wanted to give them $8,000 but they made it too difficult for me to give them my money so I don't recommend them. I'm giving them two stars rather than one star because at least the salesperson was pleasant.

They were very friendly and took care of the issue. Or so I thought. I had to keep bringing the car to the service garage or have it towed many times because the car was jolting. they told me it was because of the emissions. Then another time they said it was timing chain and I had to pay for the part $300. They said they replaced it and after 8 months of back and forth I was finally able to get an inspection sticker because the check engine light was finally not on the dash. Then I had to put another $1000 into it for a new alternator and battery. Then the engine seized broke a crankshaft and my mechanic said that Abington service put the timing chain in wrong causing the engine to seize. Abington Auto and Weymouth Auto take no responsibility and they said they can no longer help me out. Also one of the loaner cars they gave me while my car was in the garage overheated on my way home from work leaving me stranded for the 6th time from a vehicle from one of their dealerships. This kind of business is illegal and unacceptable.

Let's start by saying PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! (IF I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE 10 I WOULD)…read more I read all the other reviews, but decided to ignore them because I found my dream car here. This was an absolute horrible experience that I regret so much! I came with $25,000 in C to purchase a vehicle Ive been on the hunt for. From the jump the salesman Alex was a complete asshole. Very condescending kid with smart remarks. It threw me off, but again I really wanted the vehicle The vehicle ended up not passing inspection due to the EVAP monitor not being ready. I took the time on my day to get it inspected five different times to see if the "monitors were ready" after three weeks of owning the vehicle and putting in 2100 miles on it they were still not ready. I've messaged him plenty of times during this process and their only solution was just keep driving. Let me remind you guys this dealership is two hours away and they made me go up and down three different times. 4 hour drive in total EACH TRIP! I've explained this to them plenty of times and they just kept saying well you purchased the car this far. After three weeks of dealing with it I finally said I want to refund this vehicle or get this vehicle fixed to get it to pass inspection. Their reply was you're not getting nothing. They finally get the monitors ready and want me to sign a paper saying that they fixed the car before I even get it inspected. (How would I know it's really fixed I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CARS) They tried to hold my car hostage telling me if I didn't sign the paper saying that they fixed it, they wouldn't release my car. Honestly been doing this back and forth with him and the manager I don't know his name but they're both complete assholes. Please please please stay far away from this dealership.

This dealer has GREAT reviews on Cargurus, Yelp, Google and Facebook so I figured I'd give it a shot. I called and asked if the car was still available and they said it was and that I can come test drive it. I got there and test drove 2 cars with absolutely no problem, he just needed a copy of my license. I decided to purchase the original car I came for. The sticker price was $4500 and all I needed to pay was $4500 via bank check. There was absolutely no other fees I had to pay directly to TC Auto Repair. Next, I had to get car insurance and get their auto insurance stamp/signature on the RMV Title and Registration form. I went and got Geico and they provided me with a prefilled auto insurance stamp/signature for the Title/Reg Form. I had to go back to TC Auto Repair for them to sign the dealer's portion of the Title/Reg form. TC Auto Repair had originally pre-filled and signed the form and it just needed the auto insurance's signature/stamp but for whatever reason Geico had to print their own version causing me to back travel for the dealer's signature. Then I had to go to the RMV with the completed form. I didn't have to make an appointment, I was able to just walk in. Took about 1 hour but it was to be expected as a walk-in. I had to pay the MA RMV about $75 for the title, $60 for the registration certificate and close to 7% of the vehicle's purchase value as sales tax. I was then handed the actual license plate. I was surprised I got actual plates on the spot because all of my cars in California, I'd get temporary plates (or no plates at all) and had to wait a week or two for the plates to arrive in the mail. The last step was for me to get the inspection sticker. I was ready to take the car to a local mechanic for inspection stickers. However, TC Auto Repair hooked me up with a free inspection and it took only about 15 minutes. The car passed the inspection and received an inspection sticker. I was done with the entire process and was able to go home. It's only been a day with the car but so far so good. I've had nothing but a great experience with TC Auto Repair and Sales. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. I'll probably be looking here first if I need a new car in the future.

Suddenly I found myself on the market for a used car, and Auto Trader took me to an '98 used Camry with relatively low miles (less than 130K) for a fair price (just about $2,300). The car being 20+ years old, I wanted my mechanic to take a look at it. Taking the car for a test drive to his shop (~10 miles away) was not an issue. All it took was me leaving a copy of my license and phone number. Especially for its age, the car was in very good shape. Many important components related to power steering, brakes, and the radiator were replaced. The only areas of concern were a rusty (not leaky, though) fuel line, and that the alternator went as I was driving it (which they agreed to replace). Now the car wasn't perfect, the radio is missing a button and a knob, cruise control doesn't work, and some other minor details. Considering the price and great mechanical shape, I'll let these slide. This car might last a while (and I hope it does), but I realize it won't be forever, so I'm already saving for something newer. Negotiating was actually pretty painless. This might be partially attributed to the car being so cheap and having work done on it already. The person I was working with seemed honest and transparent, and wasn't taking me for a ride (pun not intended). I was able to knock it down a hundred or so, which in light of the new alternator and researched car value, fair. They then got me started on the paperwork and advised me of the next steps. I do have to get the insurance stamp and transfer plates, but the RMV is unavoidable in these cases, especially with much smaller family run dealerships. My car was my baby, the Camry I bought likely won't replace it, but I expect it to serve me well for a couple years. I do have some advice for this place: 1. Honor your opening hours. If the sign says your open at 8:30, be there then. 2. Be mindful of the features listed on your website. Don't put a car having heated seats and mirrors unless it actually has them. 3. Have the website default to available vehicles and not show the sold ones (at least by default). Overall though, the first used car I bought, and second one to ever be in the family, and it was a pretty good experience. When I find myself on the market, T&C will be the first place I look.
